One Year Later

Now that Vinnie has grown up he was taking a walk to look for more food. This morning he had a branch some flowers and a purple smelly thing, but he was still hungry. He is so hungry because as you read, he hadn't had his mothers milk when he was a baby so he was really skinny. The one thing that was good about him was that he wasn't scared of anything, he was brave. Vinnie was walking in the forest when a stream of light shone down, a huge stream. "There must be a clearing!" Vinnie galloped straight forward and suddenly he was in the clearing. He walked out of the bush and found some berries. Vinnie's ears flickered. He heard something. "rawrawww" it was a puma on the hills. Vinnie scanned his eyes to were the puma was. It was pumas fighting.Vinnie moved his eyes over to the left, his eyes widened. It was a whole pride of lions."Wow!" the pumas all stood up from there resting position, stopped fighting and stared straight at him. They had seen him. Some of them started walking and roaring towards him. Vinnie wasn't scared so he walked forward to them "Hey guys wh-" "shut up horse, you are a tenee wenee little pony, you can't run from us" said a puma looking hungry. " I'm not little I'm brave" he took a couple of steps forward and so did the puma, now they were face to face. "Wh- why do you want to eat me, I'm tough and chewy" "what part should we eat sheila?" said a young male puma. "The head" chanted all of the pumas. Suddenly Vinnie tried to kick them but missed he turned around and SWIPE. Vinnie fell on to his back. Blood was pouring out of his wound. He might have been tough but he was so scared he turned and ran back into the forest not stopping even to even care abut his wound. When he couldn't run anymore he stopped and was breathing very heavily. He tried to look for some shelter because it looked like there was going to be a storm. He found a fallen down tree and hid under that.Then his eyelids dropped then he fell asleep.

Luce had been out for a run when the smell of blood overwhelmed him. "Whats is that?" He skidded to a walk and started searching for the wounded creature. After awhile the trial of blood led him to a young black colt.

"Hello?"

Vinnie snorted and looked around cautiously, then he saw a stallion, "Who are you? Please don't hurt me, I've had enough troubles on my hands already." Vinnie thought about trusting this stallion but he wasn't sure about it.

Dawn walked on not knowing where she was going not knowing where she'll end up. Everynow and then she would glance nervously over her shoulder to check she wasn't being followed by predators. She needed to find a herd,there was no way unless hell froze over she would be able to survive for long
