Skye called back once, then shut up, hoping the eagle didn't follow her. She pushed it to the back of her mind as she kept flying.

Ookami gave a threatening territorial call, warning her to get away. She followed her to the edge of the small border, then circled back, drifting on the breeze. Landing silently, she groomed the feathers around the gash, her belly white again.

Skye snorted. The bird didn't even realize she was leaving her territory for something better. There! She could see the cliffs she had flown over on her way here. She gave a shriek and folded her wings, plummeting down close to land and continuing to fly towards the cliffs.

Ookami did not like the fish bird's arrogant attitude. She turned her attention to the forest, scanning it, and using her crest of feathers to tune in the sounds.

Skye pulled her wings out at the cliff, landing on the edge and enjoying the spray of sea water. This, this was what a harpy eagle could never have! Wishing she had an osprey's feathers, she flew off, feathers getting wet. She fluffed her hakle up, letting it dry while she looked for something good to eat, maybe even a stray seal.

Ookami was not one for water, only having one fish in the zoo. She never was a fish bird, she loved being a jungle bird. She knew the fish bird would never enjoy it as much as Ookami did. She didn't understand.

Skye's eyes scanned the shoreline, thinking almost the same thing as Ookami, never understanding the full potential of the ocean. She cut off her thought as a stray seal cuahgt her attention. In a flash she was dropping from the sky towards the young seal. The seal calf was dead in a few seconds. She felt sorry for taking a young one, but an older seal was too much. Grasping the dead seal in her claws, she decided to take it back to her origanal territory, unwilling to give it up, and expand it to the shoreline.
