Skye schreeched in contempt. Sure the Harpy eagle was big, but so was she. A harpy eagle didn't have large wings for the forest, shorter wings, like forest falcons. The eagle spread her 8-foot wingspan, screaming furiously as she took chase, feather poofed up and making her seem larger.

[mindless.]

Ookami turned, and ended up behind her. She reached out her giant talons, The largest ones around, and scrached Skye's back. Almost anything smaller than her was considered prey. A terrifying call escaped her pointed black beak.

G-GRAH! Came Skye's furious schreech as she wheeled around with furious speed, massive talons outstretched. She noticed the Harpy didn't have a beak like her's, large and heavy, built for tearing. Suddenly, her heavy beak was open as she schreeched and delivered a good gash to the Harpy's back.

[mindless.]

Ookami screched, she had worse injuries from the zoo. She went up, and dove right down, grabbing Skye's body with her giant feet, the size of a man's hand. She dug her talons into her body, inflicting deep wounds. Harpys can crush bones with their talons, which are the size of grizzly bear claws.

"You don't even belong here, Monkey-eater!" Skye sreamed as she flew free. What this bird didn't realize that Steller's Sea Eagles were on of the largest eagles, and being a female, she was even larger. And what else she didn't know was that she had been raised by Condors, the largest bird of prey, and learned a few good tricks. With wings spread wide, she suddenly caught wind, soaring up into the clouds, hoping to make the Harpy think she had given up.

The Harpy knew she wasn't giving up. She was raised around the species in the zoo, and she knew them well. She may not be the largest, but she was the most powerful. She swooped down into the trees. She knew well how to fly in forests, that is how she caught prey. She was proud to be a monkey-eater, and did not know why she was called that. She landed lightly, her silent wing making no sound. She groomed her white and black feathers around the wound. It was not very deep, and would heal quickly. She called out loudly many times before settling down to rest. She remembered the huge Philippine Eagle she lived next to, and learned from.

"How do you catch fish that way? it seems hard." Cloud asked.

Skye's wound hurt, but they hadn't got to anything important, they were bleeding, but were starting to scab. She circled near the clouds, massive wings spread wide as she searched the ground for the Harpy. No way was she loosing to one of those Monkey-Eaters! She satisfactorily fluffed her feathers, seals were better.

"Watch," Luna instructed, wading back into the water. Suddenly going still. After a minute, she lunged forward, grabbing a large fish in her jaws and dropping it against a rock. "Easy."

"I doubt i could do that without a longer neck. It probably would be to deep and i'd miss."

Ookami, like most Harpys, knew how to stay hidden. She swiveled her head around, looked around.She groomed her gigantic claws, and then kept a keen eye out for the Sea Eagle. She learned their tactics of fight. She knew vultures and condors, as well. She remembered all of the fighting techniques. EEEEAAAH! EEEAAH! Her piercing screech split through the forest.
