The blue roan stallion snorted in answer, raising his head, munching on some feed still, looking back at his dirty coat before forward once more. He gave himself a full body shake, sending dirt and dust flying into the air around him. He then looked at her as if that seemed answer enough.

"I'll take that as a yes." Lou said laughing. She walked down the aisle and into the tack room. She dug around in a few buckets until she found what she was looking for, a grooming kit. She grabed it and walked down the aisle saying hello to all the horses that looked over their half doors at her. When she reached the roan's stall she slowly let herself into the stall and put the grooming kit on the ground so that he could sniff it. She lifted a dandy brush from the box and let him sniff that as well.

Ace watched her walk down the aisle, then went back to eating. He then lifted his head out of the bucket as he saw her walking down the aisle with something in her hand, also watching as she came into his stall with it, setting it on the ground. He lowered his head, sniffing it, then lifted his head to sniff the dandy brush. He then lowered his head once more, continuing to sniff the grooming box, lipping at it a bit. He continued lipping it, accidentally flipping it over. His head flew up and jumped a bit as all the brushes scattered in the straw, but then just shook out his mane and swished his tail, looking down at all the brushes.

Feather snorted trying to resist the urge to turn and show Fly that she wasn't going to be bossed around but simply grazed, wishing she was in a different pasture and away from this pitiful excuse of a mare.

Lou wanted to reach her hand out to calm the stallion but was afraid it would just get him even more worked up. "Easy silly boy. The brushes won't hurt you." Lou said and just to prove it she lifted the dandy brush up to his coat and began to make quick swift movements. She watched as the dust and dirt just flew off his body. "See? You can trust me." Lou whispered just standing there brushing the stunning roan stallion.

Fly was tensing up. She couldn't just stand there with that other mare standing there with her. She snorted and pinned her ears at the mare.

Ace snorted softly once more, turning his head and dipping his muzzle into the water bucket, drinking more of the water, not even minding as she ran the brush over his dirty coat, or paying a mind to the brushes he'd accidentally scattered in the straw.

Lou took her time brushing the stallion and when she was done she pincked up the remaining brushes that were scattered in the stall. When the grooming kit was organized Lou took a tentative step towards the stallion she reached out her hand to stroke the stallion on the neck. She couldn't believe this was the same horse that Jay and her had brought to the stables from the wild.

Feather snorted her ears pinned, she turned her back to the mare, trying to tell her to bugger off and she was irritating her.

Ace snorted a bit, flicking his ears back, but otherwise being fine with the motion. He swished his tail and continued to drink up the water in his bucket, unconcerned.

"No one tell's me what to do." Fly said. She took off at a gallop towards the mare and she stopped just beside her and raised her front hooves and landed on the mares shoulder. She knew she hadn't done much damage but she sure hoped it hurt like nobody's buisness.

"Wow...I'm amazed by how much your letting me do! Maybe I'll try some join-up now." Lou slowly approached the stallion with a halter in hand. "See this? This is a halter. It won't hurt you." She held it out for him to sniff it.
