Fay shook in the river, droplets flying all over before pulling herself onto the bank again. She glanced sideways at Judas as he looked at something she wasn't interested in, thoughts buzzing through her head like the flies that settled on her rump. She snorted, flicking them away irritably before trotting along the river's edge. Would having a foal really be so bad? Her mother had made her disdain plain to all, but the other mares seemed perfectly happy with them. But what if something happened to it?
She huffed, not wanting to think about it.
