King sighed. "It is possible but I would rather die then to have Stone lay a paw on Rain,Breeze or Willow. I love your mother, Willow. I love her like a daughter and I try so hard to keep her from everyone else. I try to keep her under my power and rule to ensure her safety. I even went as far as to mate with her so I can force her to stay with me. All I wanted was to protect her but now...I am no longer the king, no longer able to protect. My daughter Breeze...I can not protect. My beautiful mate Rain...is no longer here to groom my mane or lay at my side." He let out a soft huff. "I will fight Stone and if I win then I shall reclaim my throne but if I lose, I shall die an honorable death."

Anya listened to what King had to say and she nodded sliglty once in a while to insure that she was still listening to him "King, I hounor that you want to do that..I never relized that you really cared for them like that, and with all the fighting I saw betwen you and my mother" she said softly and then looked at him once more and sighed softly "I didnt relize that you cared for her" and she smiled and nuzzled him gently, careful not to hit one of his wounds

King flick slightly when Anya nuzzled him then he relax and purred slightly. "Yes your mother and I always fight. We would fight less if I actually told her why I do the things that I do or say the things that I say but I felt that it was not her burden for her to know." He started licking his wounds carefully. "I feel very disappointed that I lost my pride after my cubs are born. I hope they survive Stone's and Zhou's rule. If they kill them, I have no successor, no future king to pass on my bloodline. A king's worst nightmare."

Anya nodded once more and then helped him clean his wounds "I get what your saying, but as a cub seeing that.it was hard" she said softly "and dont worry king, I bet you your cubs will live and your bloodline will live one"

King nod. "I hope so. I believe sparing you and your siblings lives was the best thing that I did. Hopefully Zhou would make the same choice that I did." He hiss softly as Anya cleaned his wounds then he relax and rest his head on his paws and sigh softly. "My hard work of creating the territory, creating a pride, ruling it for 7 years...and now...when I thought everything was perfect...when I thought I would die with a pride under my rule...I lose the most important fight of my life..." King let out a loud snort of fustration. "How can I live up to my name if I am not even a king?"

Zhou return to the camp and he sniff the air then he spotted Breeze and grin. He walk over to her and purred loudly and he paw at her.

Breeze look at Zhou and she let out a loud hiss and swipe at him. She knew he would find out sooner or later but for now, she showed no interest in him and she was going to make that clear to him.

[Stonefly]

Anya purred "thanks for sparing us king" and she glanced back up from her grooming "I wonder if this would have happened if my brother was still alive, Zhou always wanted to start a pride with him.." and she closed her eyes and sighed, she still missed her brother greatly still even thought its been two year, but it was her brother. Anya then went back to grooming him not really wanting to think of it right now "dont worry king, I bet you will get your pride back" she said "and I know my father will help"

King sighed. "I do hope your right. I believe Zhou would have been better if I saved your brother sooner. Zhou completely changed after the dead of his brother. He probably sees it as my fault."

Breeze stood up and she quickly stood next to Rain for protection and she hiss at Zhou. "Leave me alone!" She swipe out at him.

Zhou dodge Breeze swipes then he hiss softly. "Stop hiding behind your mother. Don't you want to carry strong cubs?" he move towards her.

Anya thought about what to say after that, she really couldnt think of anything really so she kept on grooming his mane "King..I dont really think we'll ever know" she mumbled

rain looked back from Zhou and Breeze and hissed "leave my daughter alone"

King closed his eyes. "Maybe it is not for us to know but for us to find our either sooner or later."

Zhou hiss at Rain. "Fine. I'll leave your daughter alone if you take your daughter's place."

Rain glared at Zhou "never you mangy flea bag." Rain wasnt going to let anyone touch her or her daughter
