Móraín had not missed the snarl, and upon informing their Chief that the Pride had been alerted, she turned towards the Omega. Her expression on the surface remained calm, but the look in ice-blue eyes had shifted to become as cold as ice. She harboured nothing against the Omega. In all honesty, she quite liked his spirit! But blatant disrespect towards their highest ranks was by no means acceptable!

"Grimjaws. Use your head before your claws. Don’t forget how you got to where you are. At any point in time, the Chief could either turn you out, or push you up the ranks, depending on how you present yourself. My job is to advise our Chief, but I have words for you too; Watch the attitude, and think before you act. I like you, Grimjaws. A lot. It’d be a shame if things were only to get worse."

"You don’t have to worry yourself over that, they’ve been well trained for their work. It’s always been this way. We do our job, they do theirs, and balance is kept within the Pride. Never too much or too little of anything if done right. The last thing we need though is someone passing out from hunger. Even if it’s just a scrappy mouse, grab something to eat before we head out," Hunter insisted. He normally didn’t care, but if he was going to be on patrol with Kuro, he’d prefer not to have to drag her unconscious body back by the scruff.

"On it!" Micah quickly set to the task of working with the ferns. She had no idea what she was doing. She’d never quite had the dexterity or skilfulness of an Artisan, but she did what she could. Anything to help a friend, really. Even if it wasn’t top-notch quality, it would have to work for the time being. They were alarmingly short on Artisans.

Rose shook her head, “I can’t lose you all. You’re my only friends” she says. She looked at the ground, “it’s my problem anyways” she says turning and running away from her friends. She needed to stay away from her friends, to protect them. It was the only way. She broke down, crying up puddles.

The tom lowered his nose to the ground and parted his maw slightly, drawing in the scents around him as he tried to pick up any fresh scents; not finding any he lifted his head "no, im not smelling anything fresher than whats here" Kesteral said as he turned his orange gaze on Shade before looking back over the border with a shake of his thick white and gray patched coat.

She let out a small sigh and relaxed her muscles, allowing herself to calm down "you're right Akai, I should know better than to demand that of you and I apologize" Crowley agreed, not wanting to rile herself or the apprentice up more she sent him one of her rare smiles before letting it falter "I figured we could do some offense training today, then we could go on a border patrol with some other Guards if we get back in time" she told him "unless you had something else in mind?" she questioned. Crowley rarely allowed others to make decisions for her but she would make an exception for Akai as an apology for her harsh attitude towards him, especially so early in the morning.

Móraín couldn’t deny her frustration at the Omega, but the announcements were being made, so she sat herself not far from the Omega in question, although normally she would’ve been up next to Bat until he had named his Second. Even so, the cold look in her gaze faded away. This was a happy occasion!

"Rose-" Karter stared after the she-cat when she distanced herself, but there wasn't time to pursue her, not when the meeting was called, and…Linkk was announced as the new Lead Hunter. Admittedly, Karter had some doubts, but he pushed it aside. He should be happy for his friend! This was a huge honour! "Linkk, c'mon! Go up there and accept the role, that’s amazing!" He chirped.

Shade nodded. As she’d thought. With that out of the way, there was no threat. "Well then, let’s get back to camp. We’ve done a quick sweep, that’s all we need in the morning. I’m sure the evening patrol will go around the whole perimeter." That seemed to be how it went, and just how she liked it, personally.

He turned to the advisor as the she-cat approved them, he had no idea what was going to happen at first but flicked his tail tip as she mentioned the high ranks 'so Bat will choose the next second, lead guard, and lead hunter?' he thought to himself. He turned to look at his mentor "yeah I did hear that too...let's have a nice place to sit down and wait and see things happen" he meowed flicking his tail as he looked around the camp for a nice place. He felt rather disappointed as he didn't see Katherine anywhere as he was planning to get sit next to her.

She looked at the guard and the hunter, then toward the chief who started to list some names 'Linkk? huh okay' she thought of herself, she was counting on Wilted to be a lead hunter, but Linkk was not a that bad choice either. Linkk was still pretty young tom, starting when age has been a problem for knowledge and skills.

He narrowed his eyes in annoyance when the advisor decided to stay with him instead than take her so-called temporary place next with the chief "what are talking about? I don't need to force myself to be happy for things I am not" he meowed with a dark voice 'like me? hah yeah right...' he thought of himself. His eyes narrowed as he watched the meeting going on, his head focusing on those cats who were not in camp, because one of them could become a lead guard.

He rolled his eyes "no you're wrong buddy, your mentor was pretty much awakened...so you could get up now before she comes there to pick you up" he responded. He flicked his tail as he thought "I could get to my mentor too, so come on and let's start the day" he called out with a loud meow. ¨
He left the den, giving a quick look to see if the other trainee was getting out too, smiling as he did so. Flicking his tail he half run to the scout there "hola my lovely mentor? anything for us to do today?" he asked excitedly.

She looked at the Vice-captain with a slightly offended look "excuse me, I understand that, but I am not that weak to collapse during a patrol" she meowed with a sight "anyway I am not a morning eater either, so I will eat when we get back as I do like to eat when I have a hungry" she offended herself to him. She then looked elsewhere "so don't worry, you don't need to drag me anywhere" she meowed silently.

She did walk to the entrance to wait for the two which didn't take long as the chief was pretty active there. She let the hunter and Chief walk in front of her. She watched those trees as they walked past some of them, turning to Jasper as he gave her some questions "nothing much just two mice...near the brook" she responded to her friend. She listened to what else he was saying "Oh yes the rabbit holes, I smelled some not too faint rabbit scents there...maybe those holes are on use again?" she meowed to him, her eyes looking at Moonlight as well.

He sighed as he listened to the scout trainee there "always so noisy aren't we...buddy" he said with another deep yawn before he jumped up to his paws. He gave a few licks to his chest fur and looked over at Arashi "yes, you're right...it's the time to get up and go" he meowed. He walked out of the den, his eyes looking over to the small group around the Gale, the other young tom who seriously caught his attention.

He sighed looking elsewhere "of course, we're going to do some guarding jobs..." he meowed rather uninterested. He flicked his ears at the she-cat's other words "actually now when you ask...can we after the guard patrol...do some battle training? I want to know how to fight better? actually, how to win a cat who is larger than me? maybe even how to win against a fox?" he meowed. He did know that a cat winning against a fox could be almost impossible especially alone.

She did the wall using the supplies Micah was bought to her, as the wall was ready she stepped backward-looking the finished job "I think this is done now" she meowed with a smile. She then looked at the hunter "so Micah is there anything to eat at the fresh-kill pile? I am not really looked" she meowed to her "breakfast could be good after some working, what do you think?" she kept meowing.

Rose ran to the edge of camp, hiding herself from the other cats. She didn’t want to harm her friends, and the best way to do that must be to stay away from them. Or at least that’s what she thought. She sniffles a little, “Stupid me. I’m the cause of my friend’s death. That must be what my nightmares are telling me” she says.

"If I asked that of you when you’re so clearly displeased with it, then I would be asking for the impossible, and I’ve no wish to do such a thing. I’m simply saying if you want to work your way back into the ranks to where you were before, you need to be careful. You realize that even when his back is turned in the moment, Chief always had eyes around here, always eyes on each cat, watching, gauging our behaviours. He'll never promote you if you can’t show even a flicker of respect to anyone. I’m not trying to confuse you or tell you you’re wrong to be upset. I’m just trying to give you a clue on how you can move ahead in life." Móraín tilted her head to the side. "I see the way you’re looking at me now, like you don't believe me, but if there’s one thing I never do, it’s lie."

Ryder had fixed his turquoise gaze ahead of them on their Chief, but his ear twitched when Wilted spoke quietly. He kept his voice down as not to disturb anyone while they waited for Linkk to come forward to either accept or deny the position that had been offered to him. "Oh I doubt it. While I may have a more level-head than some of our Pride, I’m not necessarily the best pick for a Lead." Sure, he was one of the senior Guards. He had experience, but still. "I know there are others who vie for the position."

Maybe you’re better accustomed to it if that’s how you’ve been doing it all this time. C'mon, we’d best find Crescent and head out while we can. Looks like everyone's getting set up for the day, and the Captain's given us his orders."

Pretty eyes looked around a moment, then back to her. She laughed just a little bit as she continued to listen then. She nodded to the other she cat, then made a small sound. "He...might be, or already has a cat he likes. Who knows," she said to the other she cat, shaking her head. She made a small sound when Kass said her. "M...Me?" she asked, then smiled a bit and nodded once more. "Well...keep your options open," she said with a dip of the head then a raise. "What else can we talk about?" she asked.

Brown eyes glanced about, and white whiskers twitched. The darker pink nosed one headed out of the den. She didn't really see Shiro...and shook her head. Of course, if Shiro and the others were still in camp, maybe she just hadn't looked to the right spot. She made a feline sound, headed for the prey pile.

The green eyed fluffy black she cat made a small sound as Monroe approached...She growled a bit, then focused on Karter and Rose. She made a small sound as Rose then ran away from them...However, then she heard the announcement. She smiled as she looked at her twin. She purred and butted him with her head.

The gentle, sweet, friendly, and playful slightly smaller and slender male made a small sound...He kept his eyes down as Monroe came over and talked. He was glad when the other male left. He let out a breath, then watched Rose runoff. He glanced to Karter and Navii, nudging her a bit. He said "I...okay," and got to his paws, leaving his mostly finished food. He purred a bit as he stepped forward and up to the other cat. "I accept the position as lead hunter," he said.
