Blizzard | L-Pack | Warrior | Tagging: Mick | Location: Camp
Blizzard didn’t fancy the idea of waiting while it could get infected. "Terra just seems like she’s having a cuddle with her brother…I guess there must be something going on though," he decided. "Can we at least get a bit closer so when I’m called in it’s not a huge hurry or anything?" He requested. "Then I’ll help you groom that fur back in place!"
Arian | Lead Warrior | F-Pack | Tagging: Erle | Location: Camp
Arian was not an openly affectionate wolf generally, being very closed off and serious. But she had worried! She couldn’t help it now that the stress of the battle had passed. She slowly, shakily breathed out and nodded, loving the comfort that came from her mate, finding a moment of relief from the anxiety that had all but consumed her. "Okay. Okay, as long as you’re alive and well enough. It’s alright. We…" she closed her eyes. "I hear we lost Grief and Masamune. I had a fight with Grief earlier. One of the last things I told him was effectively that he wasn’t worth his job. It makes me realize how short time is. How anything can be it for any of us, young or old, at any given moment."
Max | Alpha | F-Pack | Tagging: Enui | Location: Camp, Alpha Den
"You have always been a more than capable Beta. Things around here would’ve fallen apart long ago without you. There is nothing you could do or say that would change my mind about that," Max promised. He listened as she spoke. Perhaps it was a trivial matter in the grand scheme of things, but a heart was a fragile thing. He’d been there too. What wolf didn’t experience at least one heartbreak in their life? "That decision was his own. It does not reflect on who or what you are and are not. I don’t blame you. When one has feelings for someone and are rejected, it can feel like the world is black and white, or stops altogether."
It was true, Max reflected, that in a number of aspects, Arian and Enui were very similar. In others, vastly different. He didn’t know what it was that had made Erle choose the way he had, and it wasn’t his business. What he DID consider his business was that he had a Beta and Packmate, someone almost a friend, dare he call it that, who was trying her best not to break down.
"We're alone here, Enui. It’s okay to cry. If you bottle it up, it won’t just…go away. I won’t look down on you if you need to express frustration, disappointment, sadness, even anger. You may be a Beta, you may have high responsibility, but at the end of the day, you still have the same emotions and needs as anyone else." Max gently nosed her shoulder, attempting an offer of comfort. "You don’t need to hide around me."
