Sitka thought for a moment before responding to the older wolf. "I guess so, just a bit worried is all." she said, looking down at her paws nervously. Her mind was racing with anxious thoughts, though she looked up at Mick hoping that focusing on him would provide some sort of break from her thoughts.

Max's dark gaze shifted as the Warrior Arla came to join them. Normally he would’ve had more patience, but he was in conference with his Beta, and besides, Red aside, it seemed NONE of the Warriors or All-Arounds were obeying the Lead who had called for them. "Arla, what’re you doing here when the Lead has given you orders?"

Saffron's head was whirling from all the intake of information, but it finally settled at the approach of her mate and son. She approached them hurriedly, running her muzzle across Grant's and pressing close against him.
"Stay safe, the both of you." She told them. "I'll come back to fight with you as soon as I can with reinforcements." She licked the top of Lucas' head, gave both of her boys another nuzzle, before she took off from the river border and back into the forest, towards the camp to retrieve reinforcements.

Enui nodded her understanding to her Alpha and looked around, noting that they didn't have nearly as many warriors as they should. She spotted Grief skulking out of the camp - what in the sky-dogs name was their healer doing leaving when they were just warned of impending battle? She couldn't worry about that just now, however.

"My Alpha, there's-" But he was walking away and she hurried to follow him. "I would recommend that in these dire circumstances, we call upon our hunters to aid in the battle. Our enemies are merely another sort of prey - surely even they might help in the battle efforts?" She inquired of him as he berated Arla.

Lucas received his mother's affection well and watched her go. As he turned to Leo, he saw that his friend was being dragged over the river by his mother. Shadow sure was impressive. Still, he didn't fancy the idea of being hauled over like that, so he glanced at his father and said. "Let's go get our justice!" and jumped into the river.

It took more than a little energy out of him to flail across to the other side. When he finally dragged himself out, he shook out his pelt and then glanced down at the bloodied body on the other side of the bank. He walked carefully around Rowan's body, sparing the pup a pitying glance, before he turned his head up and dashed over to run alongside Leo and Shadow.

Max didn’t like it. Not with no formal training, but if the Lightning wolves were truly planning to launch an attack, then they may have no choice. The black furred wolf dipped his head. Once again, Enui's judgement was sound, even if it wasn’t an ideal situation. "You’re right." Wolves would be lost in this battle, and it already grieved him. Max slowly breathed out. "Give Arian some help, if you would. She’s tried thrice and it appears still the wolves do not listen to her." He turned to scope out the Hunters still remaining in camp. "ALL able bodies, Hunters, Warriors, All-Arounds, and Trainees, are to join in the battle today. Fight now, ask questions later."

Shadow set Leo down and gently licked him between the ears. Help had not reached them, but there was no more time to wait. As an All-Around, Bear was not as well trained as a full fledged Warrior such as Erle. He could only hold the great Warrior off for so long. "Come, all of you." Without any further word, the white Alpha bolted towards the Fire Pack's camp. Hit them where it hurt and they’d go down faster. Rowan's death was a blow that could not go unpunished, and if Fire Pack wanted a war, it was a war they would have.

The sweet and gentle but stubborn and sometimes hard headed she wolf ran. The beautiful lighter tan she wolf twitched black lined ears. The amber eyed one panted as she ran. The others were running, and she was still a bit behind them..but at least could see them.

The kind and caring but shy and nervous black one had nodded. Then Shadow and Bear were taking off for he river. S/he returned to camp, hearing Terra and Kotori as they got close to the healing den. Then Terra came out and addressed Ambrose. The trainee ran over quickly, wanting to be useful. "I...I can guard the nursery," they said.

The flirtatious and playful but fire disliking one hummed a canine sound. The brown wolf with brown eyes bared their own teeth. They said "I didn't call you crazy, I said you could be crazy or clumsy or anything else and I wouldn't care as long as you do your job!" They huffed and looked away. They then looked back though. "Seeing as I don't know where any of them are, it's just us. That's why I need you to go with me. I'm sure not going out there alone," they said.

The pretty chocolate one, with a white muzzle and chest patch, shook their head, and barked "Jay!" They waited for him to turn and see them or answer them or whatever, and glanced to Enui and their alpha.

They nodded as Max said all the able bodied were needed to defend the camp. "I'm here," they said, and awaited further instructions. They hummed a canine sound. They continued to stand there and wait to be told if they needed to go out into the forest or stay and guard camp.

The happy and lucky but hard headed and sometimes loud one looked up. The black nosed dark gray one heard Max calling all the wolves. Well, he was calling the adults and the trainees. They wondered why, and wandered over to find out.

The honest and trustworthy but sometimes cold and cruel one hummed a canine sound. The beautiful gray wolf turned amber eyes to the she wolf. She said "I mean...I guess you can just stay here with me and talk. No one came to me to tell me I have any duties to do. It's going to be a pretty boring day...Actually, would you go with me to the stream? I'm thirsty, and want to go get a drink. I should be fine since I'm still three weeks from giving birth, but just in case."

She rolled her eyes a bit, wanting to growl...Instead, she headed out into the forest to find Arian and the others. She sighed and shook her head as she did so. She hoped her babies wouldn't be hurt or killed by this battle... though they weren't born yet.

The story loving but cold one hummed a canine sound. The black furred and brown eyed one sighed and returned to camp. He was just in time to hear the alpha calling all healthy adults and trainees. He ran over and asked "Do you need any of us here to guard? Or are we to go out and fight them?" he asked. It was a good question; they needed to know.

It wasn’t hard to tell the frustration and tension coming from Arla. Normally Max might’ve had more compassion for it, if only scraps, but right now was an urgent time, and even more so when the wolves had yet to be rallied…and the snow-white pelt of their opposing Pack's Alpha appeared right at their camp, following by a variety of others, some of whom he recognized, some of whom he did not. "It looks like we won’t have to go ANYWHERE to fight them. They’ve been bold enough to decide to come to us instead. I’m sorry to ask you to fight, but apply what skills you use in hunting here. We'll need everyone we can get."

Max nodded towards where Shadow had marched straight into the camp, followed closely by Grant and the bulky form of Blizzard. "The Lightning wolves are here," he noted. "Thanks for running ahead and picking up the scent for us, Talon. I’ve just issued an order for all able bodies to partake in the fight. Are you in any condition to partake? By which I mean uninjured, not tired. Everyone will be tired before this is over."

She sat at Mick's side, feeling comforted by his presence. "I hope so too, I don't want anybody to die." she said, letting out a gentle sigh. She knew everything would probably be alright in the end, but the thought of her packmates dying really shook her up.
