The kind and caring but shy and nervous black one had nodded. Then Shadow and Bear were taking off for he river. S/he returned to camp, hearing Terra and Kotori as they got close to the healing den. This was her Pack, entrusted to her under bad circumstances, and she did not wish to disappoint the faith her father had left her with. That meant protecting the Pack, and Bear…sky-dogs, she’d known him for just about as long as she could remember. They’d grown up together, trained together. They knew each other's stories and drive. She would be loath to let him go head to head with Erle without at least least a warning."

"Change of plans. We're pathetic if we attack just one wolf, regardless of how strong he is. There’s no sense in waiting and giving them time to formulate a plan. Saffron, go back to camp. Tell Ambrose and the others when they’ve gathered to cross the river and keep moving." Shadow slowly breathed out. How long had it been since she was there? Was she making a mistake? No. Yes. With what Erle said his face turned towards the dark wolf You know not of whom you speak, pup a steady calm forming over his whole body. He knew this other wolf would try to get a rise out of him like he did with Shadow, yet knowing how Shadow had just reacted, his temper slipped again and a low growl escaped his jaws. This wolf reminded him of his father, that disgusting low-life made his fur prickle as he thought about the atrocities he'd committed. At least Bear had enough common sense to say Still so bold when without the help of a pack is a sign of arrogance. You realize this would have been a mercy Bear had entered the river when Shadow had said to gather the others. The two males looked about even, However, Bear could tell that this wolf was only a warrior and if they had the cover of the forest he could easily disappear, as his hunter side of being an all around had made him an excellent stalker. How to get him alone on Lightning pack territory was a mystery to him though. His gaze flickered to one of thought and strategy rather than all out brute force. If it would be on even ground It might give the Fire pack wolf the upper paw and that wasn't something he wanted to admit nor did he let that slight concern rest in his mind for too long.

"C'mooooon! I can’t swim!" Karter complained. Who could? Usually only the very big, strong, or heavy ones had the muscle mass to not get swept away by the currents. Perhaps here it wasn’t as strong as it looked. He could only hope. He was lucky that despite their differences, Blizzard was willing to help him across. Not that Karter was a huge fan of being half dragged by the scruff, as Blizzard was trying to keep them BOTH above water, but it was better than being stuck on the opposite side and thus disobeying direct orders.

Arian turned at the sound of the familiar voice. She’d been having enough trouble gathering Warriors and All-Arounds despite her calls and rounds walking around trying to find them. Nobody had been listening save for Red, who had come when Arian had announced there was trouble. At least there was one respectful Warrior in camp. To see Erle in a panic wasn’t a good sign though. "Erle, what’s the matter?" It couldn’t be good news. "Alpha! Beta! It looks like we may need help!" Arian hated it, being helpless for once, but she didn’t know how to proceed, didn’t have orders from the higher-ups, wasn’t being listened to no matter what she did for once, and now she didn’t even know the situation.

He quickly crossed the river and slipped into some of the mud on the river bank, hopefully the river plus that mud would hide his scent well enough while he disappeared into the trees. Knowing he was on enemy territory he was extra careful to make as little noise as possible. He mentally apologized to Shadow for going ahead. But he knew that this Erle deserved to know that he would knock him down a few notches for acting as he did.

Arian's amber eyes widened at the half explained news. It may not be fully detailed, but it was enough to bring across the urgency. Were the enemy planning march right on camp? There was no time. She would’ve awaited the Alpha and Beta to finish their conversation, but if Max had heard, he had given no sigh. She stood as tall as she could, scanning the camp. "New plan! Warriors and Warrior Trainees with me and on the orders of the Alpha and Beta, All-Arounds and All-Around Trainees, fall back to defend the Healers and Hunters!"

Anxiety flashed through Arian, but there was no point in letting it show. The Fire Pack needed their Lead Warrior to be calm and collected right now, not panicking. She hadn’t any idea what the higher-ups had planned, if anything, nor did she care if they would be angry with her for changing orders, it was her job to make judgement calls when things got ugly, and it looked like now was one of those times.
