Saffron smiled at her trainee.
"Hunting it is." She announced. "I suspect our hunters will have headed to the field today, so we'll stay clear of them. Let's head towards the river for today." She concluded. "We'll travel in silence and if you scent anything - prey or fresh Fire scent, raise your tail and we'll investigate it." She told her trainee, before turning in the direction of the river border and padding off quietly in that direction.

Enui had heard Talon's apology and acknowledged it with a flick of her ear towards him. A dismissive gesture - she'd already spoken to him about it once, if he wanted to discuss it with her further, he could wait until she was finished with her own trainee. If she saw him continue to neglect his trainee, he would definitely be hearing from her again.

Speaking of, her trainee had just given her a report of the pack laws and she nodded.
"That is correct, for the most part. The only amendment to keep in mind is that pack law doesn't say anything about exile, if a traitor is caught within our ranks." She met Jay's eyes. "The Fire Pack will not let traitors survive in the forest where they may try to join our enemies. Do you understand?" She prompted Jay.

Rowan | Lightning Healer Trainee | Location: Camp | Tagging: Kotori, Terra, Blizzard

Rowan ended up snagging a couple of mice from the pile, crunching through them in his hurry to get back to the healer's den. He was eager to begin the day properly. Turning back to Kotori, who was trying to eat a whole rabbit by himself, he quickly managed out. "I'll meet you at the Healer's Den. I want to catch up with our trainer and Blizzard." He chimed in, before turning around and hurrying over to where his Trainer was near the Healer's Den. He looked up at Blizzard with eyes that gleamed in interest.

"Have you ever killed anyone before?" He asked bluntly, his curiosity getting the better of him.

The sweet and gentle but stubborn and sometimes hard headed she wolf nodded. The beautiful lighter tan she wolf twitched black lined ears. Amber eyes looked between the males. She said “I think that’s a good idea, Oak.”

The kind and caring but shy and nervous black one nodded to their trainer. S/he said “I’ll keep an eye and ear out. Erm…I’ll keep my nose working too,” they said. They weren’t sure that was the right way to put it…but they said it anyway. They hummed a quiet canine sound as they followed her. They weren’t smelling anything yet, but there was still time.

The flirtatious and playful but fire disliking one hummed a canine sound. The brown wolf with brown eyes made a small sound. They said “As long as you can do your job, yes. You may be clumsy or crazy, or anything else, but you’re a warrior. Clearly you completed your training and did it well. So yes, I’d like you to go with me.”

The playful and loyal but fiery and stubborn one smiled at Talon and Stryker. The pretty chocolate one, with a white muzzle and chest patch, hummed.

They sighed and waited for Talon to go get his trainee and bring him back. They were ready to start the training.

The happy and lucky but hard headed and sometimes loud one nodded. The black nosed dark gray one trotted back to the center of camp.

The honest and trustworthy but sometimes cold and cruel one hummed a canine sound. The beautiful gray wolf turned amber eyes to the she wolf. She’d heard her yelp, happily. Well, she’d yelped a good morning, but anyway. She shook her head a bit as she looked at her. “I’ve still got a week or two left until I have to go in the nursery. They probably want me to wait until a couple days before that to do my nest. The pups are very active though,” she said.

Their eyes wided, they lower their head and droop their ears to the side "y-you mean... k-kill them" they stuttered

She choked on a piece of her rabbit as she heard her own Trainee as something so rude and blunt, she coughed out the chuck of rabbit "that is a rude question to ask Rowan" she barks at him with a disproving look and pinned ears

Storm's tail wagged as a show of her amusement - her joke had been a success and... not only that, but she'd somehow managed to gain the approval of Eurydice and his brothers. Her heart swelled and warmth overcame her expression. She made no effort to disguise that Eurydice's words touched her and she dipped her head to him.

"It would be my pleasure to engage in you and your brother's company again." She told him gracefully. She then turned her attention to Alistair when he spoke up and soaked in the meaning that came with his words. She considered them carefully, before turning her gaze ahead to Toby. He was only a few months older than she was, but the fact that she'd been accepted into the brothers' good graces, while he seemed to fall well behind them... Should she feel ashamed of the pride that swelled in her chest? In some part, she'd gotten to where she was today because of his poor judgement call. She opted to keep these thoughts to herself. Until the hunt really picked up or any of her fellow hunters spoke to her, she'd continue on in silence.

Enui made a soft noise of affirmation, before continuing.
"That's correct. Fortunately, it's been a considerable amount of time since any wolf dared to turn traitor. Our Alpha leads with such a grand rule, that no one would dare turn traitor against us with him as our leader." She glanced back at Max, her eyes gleaming with respect, before she turned her gaze back to her trainee. "The Fire Pack cannot afford any weakness in our wolves. But you have nothing to worry about, Jay. You are being trained by one of the best of us." Her lip twitched, stifling her pride. "I'm sure you'll learn well and stay a true and loyal Fire pack wolf throughout your life."

She cleared her throat and moved on.
"Now, there are many wolves in the camp. Without looking around, I want you to tell me which wolves still remain in the camp. Take care not to get confused by den scents or old ones." She instructed them.

Rowan turned his head from Blizzard, the warrior, to his Trainer, Terra. He ducked his ears back, hurt for being scolded.
"Why is it a rude question?" He asked, simply not understanding why he was being told off for what he'd assumed was an innocent question.

They perked up happily "of course I'm being trained by one of the best, it's why you're the Beta" they say, they stand up, puts their nose up in the air, and sniffed. They looked back down and looked at their mentor "about 16 give or take" they say

She took a breath in, sighed out and relaxed "it is be very personal" she says calmly

He waited quietly at Shadow explained to him her eating habits, silent and attentive as she spoke, and after she finished he piped up. "I also have certainty that the hunters' will bring him a meal to feed the whole pack, but I question your strength if you're taking the very last of the meals. With due respect, if you lose any more weight I'll start feeding you like a pup if I have to." His muzzle broke into a silly grin- the thought of his previous words put into action were too amusing to have kept to himself- in all seriousness however, he would have to keep an eye on her weight. IT would be no good if the alpha began to starve, and Shadow in specifically- well, until she passed, hopefully peacefully from old age, though the likeliness of that in war were slim, he would continue to try to stay close to her, to protect her, even when he knew she could protect herself.
He looked left, than right, and around the mostly-emptied camp everything seemed to be working smoothly. So he heaved himself up onto his paws and trot up in front of her, his head ducked low as he pranced on his mitts, darting back and then forward again, trying to instigate her to give chase. Such a playful behavior was likely to be seen as childish or unbefitting of a beta, but he couldn't remember the last time he'd seen Shadow play, if ever, and sometimes it was nice to play, so he didn't much care the opinions of anyone who happened to glance and see him, he'd earned his place too many times over to be shunned for that.
