xxxNagito flattened his ears for a moment when Sandstorm reminded him of his injury and he looked down at it. The blood had already stopped flowing and he laid down to lick at it a few times. "Eh, I may limp, but other than that I'm fine." It wasn't even just bravery speaking. The adrenaline, perhaps, and desire. "We won't go far, how about that? That way we can keep an ear out for ol' Zapan too."
Nagito led the way out of camp with a slight limp in his step, and kept true to his word. The pale wolfdog eventually settled under a nice, short tree with a shady covering, and he sighed. "Look, I...I haven't really wanted to say much on it, because I'm really not one for this kind of thing. But...over the past few months, Sandstorm, I've really gotten to know and like you. I'm really proud to be your friend. You inspire me to be better, and I hope that I do the same for you." His curly tail wagged a bit.

Sandstorm lowered herself next to Nagito, her sandy tail sweeping the forest floor a few times as he spoke. He seemed to be a little... nervous.
Not one for friends...? Or... does he mean something else? She met his eyes for a moment, then looked away. Now SHE was the one getting nervous. Sandstorm found herself thinking about Nagito more than one should as of late, and she enjoyed life much more when he was around. She had stayed out in the forest for over an hour searching for him when he went missing, and when he returned, was more relieved than she had ever been. "I... really like you too." She said in a small voice. She wasn't exactly sure which way he meant it, and hopefully... hopefully he'd take it just as he meant it. She didn't want it to get weird if she was misunderstanding him. Oh Sky-Dogs, Sandstorm don't mess this up!

xxxNagito was quiet as he gazed up at Sandstorm. They were settled comfortably together, side by side, and his tail swept side to side a few times over the soft grass beneath them. This was familiar. This wasn't anything they hadn't done before, sharing a space and time to just talk. It just happened to be a somewhat more serious conversation. "I really do like you, Sandstorm." He panted a bit nervously, his soft pale eyes curiously exploring his companion's expression. She seemed hopeful but nervous, and he was sure that he mirrored that look.
xxx"I was...was wondering...because we already spend so much time together, you know...maybe we could take that next step together? I feel like we get along better than any others would with our respective selves. I mean...we're both wolfdogs. Look at us." By that, of course, Nagito didn't mean that they had to be together. But he could see them staying together, ultimately as friends before all else. But...if there was something more that could come from it, he would be eager to explore it.

The beautiful, slender silver male twitched black tipped darker ears. He said "Three new trainees," then smiled as he leaned on the other male.

The beautiful, slender long legged golden female said "Okay," then smiled. She nipped playfully at one of his ears for a small moment.

The gray eyed, gray faced black wolf flicked the gray tipped tail. They managed to actually smile back at her for a moment, then looked over again. They quickly looked back to her again and nodded. "Its really a nice name," they told her, then looked to the trainee and mentor again. They looked to Primrose again, and said " Looks like it. " They then sighed as the burials were yet again mentioned, as it was sad really... They didn't know if she was asking both of them, but they opened their mouth anyway. "I don't think we will be, since the healer and trainee are both here. It's usually their job, and Shadow will probably go with them. So, I guess...we just wait here and talk."

They blinked as they looked at Blizzard, for they'd both spoken at the same time. The gray and Dark wolf burst out laughing a moment. They then made them-self stop doing so, expression going back to neutral. They yawned a bit, not sure why, then looked around some.

The pup and story loving red one snorted as she looked at Thunder once more...She put her ears back as he spoke, but there was no doubt she was listening. Not that she wanted to...but she was. She growled again as she heard stupid Alita actually do it...She turned a glare on her, then looked to Thunder. “I can’t be with her if you put her in a den and guard it...” she snorted. “I do love her!” she barked. She growled low in her throat, then watched him speak to Alita. She growled again, then shook her head and sat down, just sat down. She shook her head and stood back up though.

The beautiful mostly white one, with red patches, moved red ears, and a partially red tail. Blue and brown eyes blinked. They nodded to the ‘alpha’, not feeling like getting in a fight. They found they were way too tired for that. They nipped Star on the way past her, definitely allowed to do that. They waited for Thunder to leave. They then sprinted for one of the other dens. They growled a moment as they stood as though guarding it...They then shook their head and walked into the den.

Sandstorm's lips curved up in a smile as Nagito stuttered through his words, her tail beginning to wag alongside his.
"The next step." She repeated. "Yeah... I'd like that." The giant wolf-dog's heart beat quickened, and she had to stop herself from jumping with joy. Was this really happening? Sandstorm's deep brown eyes finally met Nagito's, and stayed this time, no trace of anger, sadness, or anything of the sort. "I'm really glad we met, Nagito. I don't know where I'd be now if we didn't."

Cinnamon narrowed her eyes and gingerly stepped up to the log. She sniffed around it for several heartbeats, then quickly pulled back with a wrinkled muzzle. She reached out with her paws and rummaged around the snapped branches, and after a moment, brought it out with a wad of cougar fur stuck on her claws. Furrowing her brow, the lithe Trainee held it up and showed it to the other wolves. "Despite this, I don't think so. The scent isn't too strong, signaling that the cougar was only here at least once, and not quite recently. This fur indicates that they may have TRIED to make a den here, but didn't find a good spot or otherwise didn't have enough room." Cinnamon deducted, peering at the fur and flicking her ears forwards with face interest.

"Oh love..." Cody breathed. She wasn’t the largest wolf in the world, but the Pup was so tiny. She curled her lithe body around the young Pup, pulling him as close as she could, to the warmth of her tawny golden fur. "I know. Trust me, I know. I’m here though, and I’ll keep you safe, I promise."
