No sooner had Leo stepped out of the Warrior den than someone tackled him from the side. He yelped and fell on his side on the ground, eyes snapping up to see Fern. She’d been absent ever since Fish's death, come to think of it. In all honesty, he had assumed the worst.

"Fern!" He exclaimed, reaching over to lick his friend's cheek. "Where’d you get yourself off to, huh? It’s been like...MONTHS since we talked!"

"Okay! I’m gonna go to the nursery and see if there’s any Pups that wanna play!" Shawn realized AFTER he had spoken that he didn’t know where the nursery was. "Ummm..." Shadow was nodding towards a large den, and with a squeal, Shawn took off. "Rain, August! C'mon, let’s go meet the other Pups!"

She ran off and said to Myst, "Hi I"m August who are you?!"

She laughed and got off of him and said jokingly, "Who's to say. Where's Smoke? I wanted to tackle that old wolf."

"C'moooon! Smoke and I have missed you!" Leo insisted, getting to his feet again. He didn’t want to break the news of her trainer's passing to her, assuming she didn’t already know, but he knew sooner or later, the truth would come out. "Well if you won't answer that, then how have you been all this time?"

Myst had been laying in the sun when two pups she didn’t recognize showed up. Their scent was weird, not one that she was familiar with, but that was okay! She sprang to her feet and rushed forward. "Hi! I’m Myst!" Another name had come to mind, just for a heartbeat, but then it had faded, as if whoever had placed that unknown name in her mind had suddenly snatched it back. Myst WAS her name, wasn’t it? That was what everyone else called her.

She snorted and said, "Ok ok. I was getting away from all the business and experiencing things outside of the pack. Got lost and just wandered. I've been fine. Have you been fine?" She gazed with mischief at him and said mischieveously, "Anything happen between Piper and you?"

She said, "This is my brother Shawn and my sister Rain. Do you have siblings?" The ongoing questions in her brain were starting to spill out.

Why does these nonstop questions make things seem like she ate bark from the TrEe. XD

Leo yelped. "Wait wait wait! You KNEW about that?" He asked, blue eyes going wide. He himself hadn’t figured out exactly what was happening until four or five months ago. Tops. Fern had been away longer than that. Was it showing even before he himself was aware of it?

"Yeah, I have a sister and three brothers!" Myst chirped. She bounced on the ground, her eyes shining. "Wanna come meet them? I THINK at least some of them are awake by now." New Pups meant new friends, right? Surely her littermates would be eager to meet them too!

The Alpha smiled faintly. "Well, while the Pups play and Naru talks to Toby and Nightfall, why don’t we have a talk of our own, and get you settled back in here?" Shadow suggested, turning her gaze on Everest. For the first time in...what seemed like forever, her head was clear.

Cody smiled just the slightest bit and nodded towards where Hashima stood by the rabbit they had 'caught' together. "Right there, with her first kill," Cody laughed quietly.

"Yes?? No??? I don’t even know?" Was Leo, a full grown Warrior and the son of a brave Alpha, freaking out over someone knowing he liked someone? Yes, yes he was. "Was it really that obvious even before I myself understood what it was?" The white wolf asked in a small voice.

"Well c'mon then!" Myst looked between Shawn and August eagerly, then, without another word, she turned and raced towards the nursery at top speed, which, granted, wasn’t very fast. "Guyssssss! We have new friends! A brown wolf came and she brought her Pups!" She cheered.

Shadow looked at Everest. "Let’s go to my den," She said, then started to lead the way. "And you don’t have to call me Alpha, dear one. You yourself once told me we shouldn’t have to worry about formal titles or manners of speech," The Alpha remembered. That had been the very day Everest had left in the first place.
