"Us? He thought we were mates?" Dark asked in surprise. Of course, if she’d told him right off the bat that another was helping her raise THEIR Pups, he could see where that could be mistaken for a mate situation. Karter had no right to be upset about such a thing though, when it had been him who had backed away. "Well...I suppose in a weird way, if he loves Storm, walking away now is better than later, or better than cheating, isn’t it?" He asked.

Alaska looked up from where she had just been staring ahead at the grass after Bailey's body had been taken for the official burial. Then she noticed the familiar form of Haley and her two Pups, and a smile came to her face. "Hello, little Dhalia," She greeted her, then turned to Haley. "Of course. What’s up?"

Wraith stood up and stretched, her black fluffy tail swaying as she made her way to the Warrior Den. It was time for her to train, wasn't it? She hadn't seen Ares around Camp all day, and was eager to start again.
"Ares?" She called into the den mouth.

"I know. You talked about that before. You need time to process what's just happened, Aala, not to mention...a she-wolf can’t have Pups on her own, last I checked. You still have your three here, and you’ll get June back one day. I'm sure of it. What do you plan to do now?" Dark asked.

"I see..." Disappointment flickered across Alaska's face. Such a shame, one who would never hear the sounds of the birds singing, or the wind in the trees, and one who would never see the beauty of such things. It made her all the more thankful she was neither blind nor deaf. "I don’t know what I can do to help with that. I’m sorry to hear things haven’t turned out ideally for you and your Pups."

Ares was not in the Warrior den, but he was returning from the forest, where he’d fled to think after Bailey's funeral had ended. He was just arriving when Wraith called. He cleared his throat. "Wraith, wrong place. Over here," He grunted.

Wraith's black ears twitched, and she backed away from the Warrior Den quickly.
"Oh, there you are." She shook out her fluffy fur, and trotted up to her Mentor, her tail wagging slightly. "Time to train?"

How'd I get stuck with this energetic one? Well at least now I only have one annoying child to train, and not two now that Peeta's a Warrior. Good riddance. Ares nodded. "Yes, it’s been a while since I've spent probably far too much time preparing Peeta for graduation. Your turn for training. Come on. To the training hollow," He decided.

Wraith started off at a trot, practically bouncing up and down without going at a quick pace. She glanced back at Ares a few times, seeing the same expression on his face each time she did.

Ares was mostly expressionless save for the flash of annoyance in his dark amber eyes. One of Max's last acts had been to pair him with Wraith. Although Ares wasn’t the fondest of the young, he did what he had to do, and he tried to make his Trainees into the finest Warriors. He liked to think he had succeeded with Peeta, even if he’d nearly gotten himself drowned. It’d be no different for Wraith. He would train her hard. He wouldn’t be going soft on her, and he would teach her with blunt honesty. No false praise from him.

Finally, the brown and black Warrior stepped into the hollow, where he’d stood only a few hours ago with Peeta and Catania. This would be a different situation. No hard, near ruleless sparring. Ares turned to face Wraith. "Recounting our last lesson, we'll start today with just the basics."

She nodded and said, "It's ok. I'm just glad I didn't stay with him. He would've probably killed the pups if he captured me. He told me he hated pups and I was to be his mate. Of course in order for him not to you know harm me, I had to say yes. I didn't like him on bit." She huffed and anger was bubbling in her chest.

He nodded and said, "I'm sure of she was still alive, she would grow close with you as a best friend and probably protect you from anything like she did with me here. She had a pure soul. Nothing holding her back. I wish I was like her with nothing holding me back, not as sensitive, and brave like her."
