"Coat colour doesn’t really matters sometimes, I mean...my mom is a WHITE wolf called Shadow for some reason, so that speaks for itself," Leo pointed out. Nobody had ever seemed to tease Shadow about it, or even mention it in general, which he didn’t understand, but it was probably for the best. "I’m sorry to hear...that he was taken from you, but at least YOU'RE safe, right?" He pointed out.

She nodded and said, "Ya. It's weird that we name then the opposite of what there pelt color really is. Umber is a dark color so I thought it would be suitable being his pelt is black." her eyes filled with amusement and she thought, is our friendship really starting to deteriate, no it can't be.

Leo pulled a rabbit out from under the pile. He had probably been enjoying rabbits a bit TOO much after the sickness Fire Pack had warned them about had seemingly disappeared. "Well that makes sense," He decided. "So you chose names based on pelt colour, then?"

aala shakes her head and sys "no i havent taken another mate dark offered to help with the pups and karter can sje his pups too but i dont wamt him crying to me when he leaves you storm" she thrashes her tail

She shook her head and said, "No. He was really the only one. Buddy looked like my father and my father's name was Buddy. Lucy is a name I always loved. Myst was this one that I kinda felt like she would have these mystical eyes. Warren is another name I loved. It seems a little bit strange that none of them were born white like me, but I guess that gene of white pelt color wan't in them." She shrugged and took a bite from the mouse.

"I wouldn’t come cryin' to anyone if somethin' happened. I like to think I’m better than that," Karter declared. A spark of defiance built in him. He’d never felt it towards Aala, but something was off. She certainly wasn’t acting how he had expected. Of course, that’s to be expected. This didn’t come out of the blue, but it’s still not something any wolf can really prepare for, being in the moment. He reminded himself. A small piece of him was glad for Dark being able and willing to help and support Aala during this. Normally, Karter would have offered that comfort and support, but if he tried, they would only fall back into the same old rut. Dark was a good wolf. He cared about everyone, no matter WHO they were.

"So that one's from their father," Leo guessed. It must be horribly lonely, he thought, to realize a male had given her Pups, but had not stuck around to see them born and raised, and he felt bitterness towards that wolf build up in him, even if he did not know the wolf himself. "Do you know who the father is, or why he’s not here with you?" He asked. "He should’ve been here for his mate and Pups."

aala thrashes her tai and gets up and she walks to camp to find dark. she sees dark and says "dark a wrd?"

She said, "All I know is that I was with this wolf one night. He had a super dark brown pelt with these cold and unforgiving amber eyes. Every night, I tried stopping myself, but he would look at me, and my gaze felt transfixed to his. When he learned of me having pups, he said quite coldly, 'Your useless.' I'm not sure who it was, but it was like he was controlling me. One night, I didn't go and that next night, he came to get me, he beat my head. I didn't even know who he was. He never said his name, never told me anything. Heck, I never liked him. It's no use looking for him, he fled after he told me that. I don't know who he was, but heck, I didn't like him and I don't need him or whoever that wolf was."

(ok, I kinda made this up on the fly. I never really thought about who she was with. Xd)

She heard one of her pups yip and she said, "I'll be right back. One of the pups has yipped." She walked over to the nursery and saw Warren was the pup who yipped. She licked his head and hoped he would fall asleep. She put Lucy next to him and hoped she could spend some time talking with Leo still before it was time for her pups to eat.
