Karter's heart sank at this, and he himself felt just a flicker of bitterness, and almost...panic. Kalen, Lily, Artemis and June were his own flesh and blood as well. He’d been half expecting this would happen, that Aala would draw them away, block them off from him and vice versa, but there was nothing he could do if that was the case, he has to respect her wishes in that regard. So he just nodded, trying his best to stay calm. "The way you say it, just tell me. Is it meant in the manner of you thinkin' I've abandoned them, or in the way of you don’t want me around them?" He asked. They were her Pups, of course! She had birthed them and nursed them, but they were his as well, and if nothing else, his heart ached for them. They were the only reason he had planned to stay any longer after this had happened.

Toby gently nudged Rosa towards Nightfall, a small smile on his face. She’d spoken to her mother? But the stars had not been out since they’d last spoken. Sometimes, odd things happen. This was just one of them, and I suppose it came at just the right time.

She hummed a canine sound, and nodded to the other female. “I...might be missing my family again..” she said. “I know we just saw them, but they only get one night with us...” She looked up as she too heard the call. She sighed when the meeting was long over, nudging Accalia and saying “Let’s go.” She turned to head back to the den. She saw Azall and Asphodel were back, and barked to them. “ I'm glad! I um...I had a bad dream that something happened... " she called back to him.

The beautiful and slender, loyal and playful tan and white female hummed. She smiled as they sat together. She dropped the rabbit, and began to eat in small portions. She looked to Lunou, saying "If you say so," but waiting to see if he's start to eat his rabbit or not.

The pup and story loving red one made a small sound as she looked at her. She hummed a canine sound, then sighed a bit. “I hope they will...” she said, shaking her head. She then looked to June, Artemis, and Lily, tilting her head.

The playful, pretty little white female with tan ears sighed a bit. .. She saw two to three wolves return with Sandstorm. She rushed up to them, as quick as she could. “Did something happen?” she asked, sounding pretty worried there.

The beautiful, slender silver male twitched black tipped darker ears. He flicked his tail as he went to the prey pile now, tail wagging just a bit. He hummed a canine sound as he picked out a rabbit. Most of the wolves seemed to really enjoy eating rabbits the most.

"Excuse me?" Storm said when Aala announced that she would be raising her pups with another male. Looking to Karter and hearing his reaction, that they were his pups too, unless Aala intended to bar them from him entirely. She closed her eyes and tried to keep up with what was going on. If Aala already had another mate, this separation would be easy. If she intended to keep Karter away from his pup, she'd be a horrible parent... but it meant that Storm and Karter would get a clean break. It would be hard for Karter to leave his pups willingly, but if Aala didn't let him see them... maybe the transition would be easier for him. Yet, despite her rationale telling her to let Aala dig her own grave... She was so angry on behalf of Karter.

"You do not get to say that they're only YOUR pups, when I know that it takes more than one she-wolf to produce a litter." She snapped at Aala. "You do not get to decide that Karter can't see the pups that are just as much his as they are yours, because you can't accept the separation that YOU contributed to. Unlike Karter, I could care less about sparing your feelings, Aala, so I'll be frank." She prowled in front of Karter, ears sliding back. "You criticize him for not bringing June back, but I don't see YOU lifting a paw to save your own daughter! You'd rather sit there and be angry instead of going to your Alpha with the problem and maybe you would have actually gotten it fixed! But nooo, you want to put all the blame on Karter and only shout at him when you feel threatened. Well, news flash, Aala: I've met your daughter and after seeing your behavior, I think she's better off where she's living currently than stuck with a mother like you!" She stopped abruptly, wanting to take back her words, her tone, her harshness. She took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry for saying that... But it doesn't erase the truth. You cannot blame others for not doing things that you, yourself, were not willing to do. There are still things that you can do to try and retrieve June and Karter and I will help you with that, but you need to accept that June may not want to return, when she's grown up with another family. She's old enough to choose now and she may not choose you or Karter."

Storm raised her head, relaxed her ears so that they were no longer pinned and sighed. "Karter and I will go speak to Shadow about that presently. In the meantime, you will answer me this: are you going to allow Karter to spend time with his pups... or will you be raising them alone with this... Dark, whoever they may be? I just need you to answer this, Aala and then I will leave you be." She explained, trying to be as clear as she could.
