Toby had just beamed with pride as Sandpiper was declared a graduate. HIS Trainee, former Trainee now, had graduated! His heart, heavy only moments ago, felt about ready to burst with his pride and happiness, and he resolved to congratulate her once she could steal some time away from her peers. In the meantime, Toby had Rosa to keep an eye on while Nightfall took the alone time she needed, and he didn’t mind. Rosa was always just the sweetest little thing he’d ever met. He crouched down next to her. "See what happened there? Maybe that'll be you one day, graduating with the pride and respect from our Alpha. Would you like that?" The Hunter asked softly.

Dark trotted lightly back towards camp, glad for the wind that would help dry his fur faster, though he was still fairly certain he just looked like a black fluff ball more than a grown adult. Meh. Night would laugh and judge, but she’d laugh and judge even if he DIDN'T look like a fluffball. That was just the way she was. When they returned, Shadow was just touching noses with Sandpiper. "Oh man...we missed a graduation ceremony!" He realized. It was high time Leo and Sandpiper graduated, and they had failed to be there for it. Whoops.

Did Rubin or Alpha Striker ever talk to you about graduation? I know you and Sira shared responsibilities after you got pregnant, but Sira hasn’t said anything either...and I didn’t hear or see her when I peeked out. From the scents of camp, it seems like there’s a lot of wolves who were either missing, or just didn’t attend. We weren’t the only ones."

"I’m an ADULT now, mum! All grown up, I’m not a Pup anymore, or a Trainee. I swear, I thought I'd be a Trainee FOREVER. Sorry! Shouldn’t swear, I forgot!" She yelped. "I’m a full-fledged Huntress!" Catania left out the part about the disasters of the day. No need to spoil a happy occasion, when she was sure things would be announced by the Alpha later on. Then she saw her mother's smile waver as Frost was mentioned, and her own smile faded. "Yes, Frost," She agreed. "He took me aside to talk to me, and he asked me to be his mate."

"Heh. Sometimes, paths cross 'cause that’s what was meant to be." If only things didn’t have to be so hard, confusing, and complicated to get to that point in the first place... Karter took a deep breath. Cool, crisp air. The forest was becoming more familiar here. They weren’t particularly close, but they were travelling at a decent enough pace that they were covering ground. "Faith...does she think genuinely that her mother is whatever she-wolf, Arian, I assume from what Erle was saying, is the one who gave birth to her? The one she sees as her mother?" He didn’t we a way that that WOULDN'T be the case, but still, for some reason, he felt the need to ask.

Smoke shrugged at this, but didn’t take her gaze off the Pups playing outside. "Works just fine for me." That said, Smoke had found that for all her impatient manner, she’d quite enjoyed watching the Pups. All they’d done was sleep at first, and they’d been so tiny! And now they played, and Smoke remember somehow having that much energy until well into her Traineehood. Then she’d decided she wanted to grow up. Welllll...grow up MORE. Real maturity? She doubted that would ever really be a thing for her, and she didn’t mind that.

The gray eyed, gray faced black wolf hummed a bit. S/he flicked the gray tipped tail. They then looked to their lovely sister. They sighed a bit, and followed her and sat down to listen.

"I wouldn't be able to say that for certain. Before you told me about your stolen pup, I didn't spend much time around the Nursery to begin with." Storm admitted. "But I can assume that that's the truth. She was so young when she was stolen...why would she think any different?" She shrugged and took a long, deep breath.

"Karter..." She began. "No matter what comes up after this, whether Shadow doesn't let me stay in the pack and chases me from the borders, whether I'm made to become a loner... I'll wait for you for the months... maybe the years it would take for your pups to graduate. I'll likely make my home by the meadow. But... if you don't come for me after your pups graduate..." She took another breath, letting air fill into her lungs. "Then I'm leaving this territory for good. The packs, the meadow... I'm going beyond all of it. I would like for you to come with me, after your pups no longer need you, after they've become proper adult wolves of their own... But I cannot wait for you indefinitely."

Waiting around for him that long would be a challenge, she thought. With the bears and the mountain lions... One wolf had less of a chance to survive than a pack, but she couldn't stay in the packs. Not unless Shadow would let her stay to watch Karter's pups graduate, along side Karter, that was.
