"THINK, Bertrum. If you had a sibling JUST within reach, and didn’t at least try to find them, would you be able to live with yourself? I know I wouldn’t." Karter narrowed his eyes. "You barely know me. What gives you the right to get up in my business? Am I all of a sudden not allowed to be in the company of a childhood friend?"

He didn’t want to speak the truth this time. He couldn’t read Bertrum, and if word got to Aala before he could say things himself, then he worried it would hurt her even more than it would coming from him. Not only would she feel alone, but she would feel betrayed and lied to too. So for now, he would neither confirm, nor deny. Bertrum wouldn’t be able to say for sure one way or another.

The little brown wolf nodded to Accalia, saying “Okay.” She managed to stand up despite the twisted paw, but limped a bit. “I...I ran away because I overheard Asphodel saying Azall was his best friend. That kind of hurt...I got hurt, and they found me, and I wanted to be mad at Azall, but...He was so nice to me,” she sighed out.

The pup loving and sweet, yet protective black male yawned a bit. He got up and shook himself off, then headed to the woods. He found Rowena there...and laid down too. He closed his eyes and fell asleep, then he too was gone.

The beautiful and slender, loyal and playful tan and white female continued to creep forward. This rabbit was white and black, odd...She pounced and killed it.

The beautiful and slender darker tan and white male twitched his ears. He flicked his tail a couple times, then stopped. He looked to Moon as she spoke. He said “Brought you a rabbit for the pups,” as he put it at her feet gently.

The pup and story loving red one made a small sound as she looked over. She twitched her ears as she watched her mate and the little ones.

The beautiful, slender silver male twitched black tipped darker ears. His ears stayed perked now as he watched. He flicked his tail as he looked at her and said “No problem.” He moves to help them with the stuff, and listened to Sora.

The beautiful, slender long legged golden female hummed a canine sound. She smiled as she sat beside the male. “Haven’t seen Shadow since then, or your sister?” she asked. She gave him the time then to answer that.

The gray eyed, gray faced black wolf hummed a bit. S/he flicked the gray tipped tail, and they smiled a small smile when the male wolf nodded to them. He seemed too tired to say anything, or do his notorious flirting. They twitched their ears as he then spoke to Enna. They flicked their tail a couple times, as well. They huffed a bit as he spoke of the nest...but they said nothing. Obviously those two were mates, Spiral didn’t want to anger Angel.

They then looked between the other three, one their lovely sister. “I don’t think they’d fault us,” they told Enna then. They sighed a bit as she confirmed he was her mate. Ah, to have a mate....they thought then shook their head some. They whipped their tail a couple times. “Andro lets go sleep,” they finally said to their sister.

Finally, Smoke lifted her head and looked up again at her mate. "Is this all it is? Sitting here and watching Pups sleep? Is that the life of a den mother?" She asked. She’d known the den mothers stayed inside a lot of the time. Were they just nursing their Pups and watching them sleep? There HAD to be more to it than that!

Accalia slowly began to unweave the nests, taking out the strained reeds and shredded moss, then setting them down in the middle of the den, forming a pile. She listened with close to no emotion, just a continuous soft glint in her aqua eyes. Once her Trainee had finished, she let out a small sigh. " I think there's a chance I see the problem. You enjoy Asphodel's company in one way or another, as he does with Azall. You're not sure who he likes being around more. You'd like to get to know him better, but you just can't find the right time to step in. Am I correct?" Accalia listed, adding a question at the end. That's what the Healer had observed, in any case.

They can go out a bit into the camp. It might actually be two months,” she said.

"Huh..." Smoke reached forward and poked Kalen with her paw. "So as soon as they're old enough to talk someone's ear off, they’re able to run around outside with the other wolves?" She summarized.

Accalia tilted her muzzle understandingly, but didn't speak until shed gotten a knot out of a dry reed. "I see where you're coming at. You indeed do like Asphodel, but you don't know who he likes." She echoed, rolling the words around on her tongue with thought. "Perhaps talking or hanging with each of them separately could give you benefit of knowledge." The Healer mused, flicking aside a scrap of moss. The current nest they'd been working on was fully taken apart; Accalia sunk her claws into the next and dragged it forwards. "Though I wouldn't like to force it, I could send you and Asphodel tomorrow to go collect some cobwebs. We're in need, and I've already swept the den's corners. Maybe you two could work it out?" She suggested lightly, raising an eyebrow as she began to pull apart the second nest.

xxxCrowley let the aspect of starting a pack go, deciding that was something for Jupiter to chew on for a short while. He instead patiently listened to the she-wolf talk about the sins her friend had committed and a somewhat wry, understanding smile came upon his maw. Of course he hadn't experienced anything to that level of severity, but he could sympathize with the other wolf. Their pace slowed as the topic grew heavier, as if it wore on their shoulders, and his claws dragged in the dirt for a moment before he came to a complete halt. "It's a tough moral situation." He finally spoke softly. "Perhaps you may have to try to have a serious talk with your friend again, and bring up these points once more. She was probably so clouded by grief, and desperation to be by your side again, she was searching down every possible avenue to be with you. I can see why; you're a perfectly sweet wolf with the best intentions at heart." Crowley's sleek tail lashed side to side as he rounded in front of her, his ears pricked. "As for ending a pup's life...if there's no quality to begin with, is it even a life worth living? I know if I was born weakened and unable to become anything, I certainly wouldn't want to stick around. I would want to go to Starris and live out my best potential in the most growth-inspiring environment offered to me." It was certain a tough judgement call, and the black Fire Pack wolf didn't envy Jupiter's position. But he could offer his best advice on the situation and he would do just that.
xxx"And...not to bring it back, but...what if you just didn't look back?" Crowley asked softly, still standing in front of his newfound companion. Not blocking her way but instead, providing a different avenue. "Just left the pack. I've thought about it many times. Fire Pack has no care for me. No one in the territories does. With the tension of the shaky truce and all the drama...I've considered leaving it all behind myself. Just let it fester, because it's not your duty to save everyone. Just yourself and those you care for."
