OOC: Okay, just checking. ALOHA STRIKER! Someone tell me why I find this funny. I can’t figure it out...
OOC2: @Spirit: Okay. You on much tomorrow?
IC:
SIRA | Hunter | F-Pack | Tagging: Feluris | Location: Meet Hollow
Sira's pale gaze softened ever so slightly. "Well you know...sometimes things happen. Life happens, and...sometimes it sucks." Would she sugarcoat what happened? Pfffft. Forget it. Honesty, however blunt, was the only way to go. Besides, Sira was sure that while Feluris had been with Jasmin, the Healer had been sure to fill her with promises that everything would be okay, and what happened in the River didn’t matter, but it did. It mattered to Feluris.
Healers are strange creatures. She fixed her eyes on the Trainee again. "Have you ever thought that perhaps this truce Alphas Max and Shadow arranged could be...harmful to the Pack in the end, Feluris? Thinking big picture." Sira didn’t know why Feluris was the one she asked, but it seemed better than sitting on her rump. By sitting around, she would get nowhere, she deduced. Woo hoo. Such a startling realization. A true genius. Sira rolled her shoulders back and her white-tipped ears swivelled towards the young Warrior Trainee.
SHADOW | Alpha | L-Pack | Tagging: Rubin | Location: Meet Hollow
"Then tell me, WHY in the name of the sky-dogs would you use a move that would’ve snapped the spine of a smaller wolf straight in half, and permanently disabled them? Surely you should know that. Is that how you plan to get this respect?" Shadow demanded, her voice neither warm, nor accusatory, just coldly curious. What kind of respect is that? Of course, perhaps that’s just how things are done there. It’s been a very long time since I lived amongst them, after all, and already I know their ways of going about things is far different than ours.
"You’re right," She agreed finally. "Respect is key to a high-ranking wolf, but don’t stop once you have it, Beta. You say everyone respects me, but amongst my own ranks, I know there’s at least one wolf who would see me dethroned, and there’s more than one wolf in this forest who would gladly see me dead. When you earn that respect, you put yourself in the spotlight, so once you do, don’t stop. Keep going. Aim above and beyond, keep pushing as hard as you can. I believe you can do what Alpha Max couldn’t. Max aired above and beyond, but ambition took over loyalty to his own family in the end. I see the good in you, Beta. You can still do what he could not."
Not for a second had Shadow forgotten the fight, and she half crouched now, ready to attack or dodge, but also just watching Rubin, curiously, not with hostility or anger, just curiosity.
