OOC: Okay, so that means she’s well into the forest. What about the three Pups back at camp? What’s gonna happen with them? Cody's already freaking out about Nebula and Hashima, who’d wandered off, so she’s not in the right mindset for babysitting.

Aala sees karter with storm and races back to camp tears streaming down her cheeks and she curls up around her pups and softly cries

Hashima and Nebuala

Hashima looks up at the sky and says to her sister “We better get back to mama” Nebula nods and follows her sister back to their mother and curls up beside her and says “Hello mama”

Dark was just about to stand up and look for the two Pups at Lux and Cody's request, when the two Pups in question raced back into camp and into the nursery. "Well, that solves that." He slipped into the nursery, having seen Aala rush past, seemingly in tears. Aala had always been a sensitive wolf, but she’d hardened a lot since she’d become mates with Karter. They had cried over Rita, and that was expected, but she had stopped crying, and tried to look at the positive part of things, now she was crying again. He could only assume that was why. Still, it was good to check in.

"Hey Aala? What’s the matter? You’re crying again," He noticed. The black pelted Warrior licked back an escaped strand of his fur before turning his midnight blue eyes on the small black she-wolf again.

Aala flicks her eyes up to dark and says “karter is with storm” she licks a paw and whimpers. She sets her head on her paws and looks at the black warrior with midnight blue eyes

"Storm as in...the former Warrior who ran away about a year ago? Just under?" Dark hadn't seen it happen that day, but he has certainly heard the commotion that her leaving had caused, and he had been acutely aware of the grey she-wolf's absence. "You’re worried about that? They’ve been friends basically since the day Karter came here. It’s only natural he’d worry about her, right? I remember Lead Spitz saying once to Alpha that Karter had intended to sneak across just to check up on Storm and make sure the Fire Pack was treating her right and she wasn't being hurt or mistreated. Could that be the case, since he never got that chance to go see her?" Dark asked.

Dark didn’t want to believe otherwise, especially on a night like this, and he knew if Night had abandoned them, he would’ve risked anything and everything to go make sure she was okay the next chance he got. Perhaps it was the same story with Karter. That kid's always been stubborn as a mule. Not patient, but definitely stubborn. He doesn’t know when to quit.

"You don’t KNOW whether or not that’s his intention though, do you?" Dark asked. "He’s an unpredictable one. That much is true, but I don’t think he’s a dishonest one. If he told you that he had loved her once, then don’t you think he would’ve told you if he’d changed his mind about life partner?" He pointed out. Of course, he didn’t know Karter particularly well, but if Karter had trusted her enough to speak of it before, why would he run away and choose another mate, without even telling Aala the truth? It didn’t make sense.
