The little brown wolf sighed and shook her head, then looked up again. “Okay,” she said, though didn’t seem to remember him being there. She huffed a bit as they went off together. What is wrong with me...? she thought, then turned in circles.

The beautiful, slender long legged golden female made a small sound. She lay there awhile, then began to feel it. She sat up quick, getting sick on the floor of the den. She shuddered and coughed a couple times, still shuddering once done.

Jupiter walked until she couldn't hear Fish behind her. She needed space, she needed to get out of here. She didn't want to go back home, where all the sky-dogs would be. She didn't want any place in any of this anymore! She hurt for the loss, but she hurt for Fish being here, rubbing it in her face that she would leave at the end of the night. Only for her to find out that she was doing something to unnatural... That poor pup. A pup's death was sad, but living a half-life was so much worse. Why couldn't Fish understand that? She'd deluded herself into thinking that because she had done what she'd done for the right reasons, that it made her actions right too.

She couldn't go back, knowing Myst was infected with Fish's misplaced good intentions. Because if she went back now... She'd certainly kill the pup. Fish would go back to Starris and Myst... Myst was never meant to have survived. She would be putting the world back in order, but... she would surely be killed herself and she didn't want to go to Starris where Fish was.

She was surprised out of her fury for a moment as she heard a voice from the other side of the river. She turned quickly to see a black wolf staring at her. She blinked at him and then narrowed her eyes.
"Are you here to make fun of-" She stopped, listening. She tilted her head slowly to one side and then turned to face him, standing opposite side of the river to him.

"I..." She glanced over her shoulder. Fish had disappeared. Good. She looked back to the black wolf and let out a weary sigh. "She died for a lost cause and expects me to accept her death. Maybe in time I would have, but then she goes on to tell me about how she forced life into something that was meant for death... That's not natural. And that shouldn't be up to her to decide who lives or dies." She said, softly, but clearly enough for the stranger on the other side of the river to hear her. She shook her head. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do with all of this information now." She blinked at the other wolf. "I saw you earlier, didn't I?" She questioned. "I didn't think you wanted to talk. What changed?"

Azall looked up at the trees. Seeing every branch change and drift randomly. All so that their leaves can have the brightest sun. I lay next to one and looked over at the young wolf. "my bravest ones where the ones I wasn't ready for. In life were always met with the unknown. Some more vivid then others. Mines are slow and accumulated. It gets harder to see when the smoke starts to make you feel like you're in the void of constant thoughts."
My eyes returned focus and looked down at Asphodel. Shaking my head a bit and staring at the floor. " sorry. My bravest one was the time I risked it and joined this pack. I felt like I didn't deserve such a kind group of wolves."

Thunder stared at his mother and sister. He hadn't been there when his dad had died, not in the way it counted. There were parts of his memory, carefully blank. He blinked.
"He wouldn't go there... And even if he did... what's to prevent him from coming down like the sky-dogs do?" He asked his family. "He can't be with the moon-dogs, he was good! It's the sky-dogs that are wrong! Dad's gonna show up! He will! I know he will!" He heard his name and he whirled around. "WHAT?" He snapped, eyes flashing as he faced another wolf. Rue, his mind registered. Rue and her parents. "Oh, that's great! Come to rub it in my face have you?" He growled and turned to Catania. "I'm gonna go find Dad! He's bound to be here somewhere!" He said and he turned tail and bolted, running in and out of dens in a frenzy. His dad was coming to see him! He'd teach Thunder how to be Alpha! He'd be proud of him!

Hearing the quiet sigh from his fellow Hunter, Emit turned, tilting his head to one side and speaking around a mouthful of brown rabbit fur. "What’s the matter?" He followed his friend's gaze to rest briefly on Arian, who didn’t even notice the two staring. "Dunno what’s up with her. She was excited earlier."

"Thunder...if he hasn’t come for us, and he hasn’t come in to see mum and the younger litter...what makes you think he's coming tonight?" Catania's voice was quiet. "Maybe...he’s not with the moon-dogs, maybe it’s just too soon, and he hasn’t learned to come down yet? Someone can teach him, maybe he'll be here next month, and then he can tell us what to do."

xxxAsphodel laid down beside Azall and gazed up at the stars with him, wondering just what was going through his mind. Sure, he was explaining it, but he wondered what he was seeing. Were the stars turning into constellations before his eyes, playing out his tales of life? Did the shadows dance out his dreams? Asphodel curiously swung his head back to meet his companion's gaze and pinned his ears to his head as his tail wagged. "Really? The bravest moment was that? I'd imagine it was when you maybe fought a bear, or faced an entire pack of wolves on your own! Right?"

Crowley - Male - F Pack - Tagged;; Jupiter

xxxCrowley's ears flattened when the she-wolf's anger nearly turned on him, but his final words had seemed to coax it out of her for the moment. His shoulders relaxed slightly in relief and he sauntered to the water's edge, the spongy grass feeling cool beneath his paw pads. The sleek black wolf had to listen to catch the Lightning Pack wolf's words, but he made a soft whine of sympathy. Oh, he couldn't even imagine the grief she was experiencing. There was a lot wrong in the other pack too, it seemed. Not even they could escape issues, for all the happy and family-oriented wolves they seemed.
xxxThe Fire Pack male stood up a bit taller when questioned and tried to seem more confident when he was questioned. The sudden subject change that whirled on him seemed avoidable enough, if he kept it brief, perhaps. "I think it was situational. You came at your packmate with such aggression, and I really do prefer to avoid confrontation despite being a Fire Pack wolf. I don't quite align with the rest of them." Crowley briefly swiped his tongue over his lower chest and then met her eyes again, noting how her mottled gold pelt seemed to shine in the moonlight. His own was practically silver beneath the full moon. "I think you have to do what you can, which would be following your heart. Even if it seems hard or even impossible, letting go or making the hard decision can ultimately lead to the best outcome.
xxx"Back when I lost my best friend, he wanted to come back. I wouldn't let him- said if he did, I would reject him as he rejected the natural order. Sometimes desperation strikes so hard in the hearts of those gone too soon, they'll do anything to win you back. I do understand your side of this and I would be in exactly your position were it to happen to me. But-" Crowley flicked his ear. "-that's just my two cents."

"No doubt," Emit agreed. "Arian's pretty tough. She’s dealt with raising her eight mostly on her own the past month, AND leading the Warriors in daily duties, she never really takes time for herself, but she doesn’t usually let things get her down." She was waiting for one of the starry wolves, I guess... and either they didn’t come, assuming they’re real, or she couldn’t otherwise imagine hard enough.

Surprise flashed across Emit's face as he settled down outside the Hunter den to eat. "Two mates? At the same time, or...did something happen?" Emit wasn't entirely sure how things there worked, but he couldn’t remember having ever heard of or seen a wolf with two mates at once.
