The magnificent male smiles as the sun rises over the hills of his savanna. He calls out to the lions and says “morning pride time to get up!” He looks at his mate and says “your ok?”

The leopard lion hybrid female walked along a man-made trail. Crunching could be heard under her paws with each step she took. Her darkly coloured spots glimmered in the sunlight; She was snapped out of her thoughts when a small cream and white creature along with a bit of black zoomed by. She halted to a complete stop, her tail swishing while she muttered a few things under her breath.
"Kiko...What did I say about running ahead." She warned, her teeth glimmering while she spoke. "There could be lions around ready to pounce at a young cub like yourself." Shusui spoke lightly; In a motherly nature. She watched as Kikokuryu turned around; His cheetah face was soft with sincerity.
"Sorry Shusui." Kikokuryu apologized while he padded up to her. Giving Shusui a lick on the nose while she continued on walking. Making sure that Kikokuryu didn't go any further than her few tail lengths. Her eyes shimmering lightly while her eyes glimmered in the sunlight almost like the gemstone Jasper sitting in the bright sun. Showing off all of it's colors.

the sun rises on another day; crimson red light spilling over the feral land with a slow, but steady, approach. it creeps and cradles everything it touches with a gentle, warming grasp as the already enlightened areas begin to thrum with life. the warmth usually got to him before warren's routine rousing of the pride, allowing the oaf to wake a bit slower, a bit more on his own time. florentin never was much of a morning type..or an evening type either. actually, the only time he ever seems to enjoy is afternoons - the scorching afternoons where nothing can be done besides being sprawled out in the sun, barely breathing, not even enough despire to flick off the annoying flies that buzzed around his feet. any time he can lounge, he takes gratefully. but, nonetheless, another day threatened to breeze past him on the savannah without his even noticing; so florentin woke.
somewhere he found enough strength to roll from his side onto his belly, front legs reaching out and flexing his gnarled nails into the soft ground as he stretched out the aches. with a grunt and a heave, florentin brought his legs beneath him and stood from his little cradle of sand to face the day reluctantly. without question he knew today would see him out on the plains again. the pride had wiped clean their freshest kill early yesterday and had not seen nourishment since. especially with a few cubs now scampering around the pride's encampment, food is necessary. now, florentin is quite unmotivated at the best of times, but he certainly isn't going to be the one responsible for a baby going hungry. though it is the farthest from his favorite thing, he began his slow wade through the silky grasses toward where he knew his superior, umber, would be awaiting the arrival of himself and the other hunters, not even needing to heard the gathering call. routine is routine, after all.
about the time his lumbering stride brought him within earshot of umber, florentin caught the orders he was breading to hear that morning. "hunting duty.." he groaned to himself, a bit of an eyeroll tossed in at the end for good measure. it wasn't unexpected, but still displeasing to have heard either way. "where am i to be stationed?" he pipped up, remining a few feet off just to reinforce his displeasure of being up so early; despite his always needing to be up this early. "am i on my own today?"

The beautiful golden female swiveled her brown ears a moment. She shook her head, and flicked her brown hair ended tail a bit. She raised a white paw and licked it, then licked her son on the top of his head. She purred a bit and blinked amber eyes, then looked around for a moment.

The cute brown cub purred as he looked around the nursery for a moment. He flicked his tail a couple times, then stopped doing so. Green eyes blinked as he looked up at his mother for a moment. He purred a bit and raised a white paw, licking it then setting it back down.
