OOC: Oksy, skipping Lightning wolves to the Meet, Fire can do the same when they’re ready!
IC:
SHADOW | Alpha | L-Pack | Tagging: Meet Wolves | Location: Meet Hollow
Shadow stopped once they had gotten to the ravine. "You all know the rules. Quiet when the announcements are being made, no severe injuries during the sparring, and fair trades," She told them. "Hierarchy stands as one here. If Alpha Max or I say something, you treat it with equal authority." Oh she hated saying that line. Max was one of the wolves she’d always hated the idea of being in control. "And Leo, stay AWAY from Alpha Max unless he gives an order. Please." It was supposed to be peaceful at the Meet, but Shadow didn’t want to run any risks, especially since she knew now that Max knew Leo was his son as well as hers. The white Alpha truly feared Max might try to take Leo, for he was skilled, and he was strong. Two things Max had always valued more than almost anything else, save for his own family, and technically, although the two had met only once, and in battle in passing at that, they WERE still blood kin.
That aside though, something was off. Shadow felt a strange void in her heart, sinking to the pit of her stomach. A void she’d only felt once in her life before, when Fang had first died, and her life had been long. It felt like something was missing. She hated the hollow feeling, but there it was. She knew something would be different. Something wasn’t quite right, but she pushed it away for the time being.
TOBY | Hunter | L-Pack | Tagging: Meet Wolves | Location: Meet Hollow
"Copy that, Alpha Shadow," Toby agreed, nodding firmly in assent with the Alpha's words as she headed off to jump up on the stone from which she would make her announcements, although he didn’t believe there was TOO much to actually announce. Toby himself was young, at just a couple months older than three, and had not been to many Meets before. This would be his...fourth? Fifth? He wasn’t quite sure. He had nothing to trade but for stories. Dare he? His sister's story about the great TrEe had always been fun, and hilarious, but it had also caused quite the drama for Karter and Lashonna, who actually BELIEVED the story. It had been hilarious though in the end.
Perhaps there would be some younger wolves tonight who would be interested in hearing the tale of the great TrEe though, and it could be my turn to tell it. Truthfully, the thought of that made Toby smile, and he sat down where he was, tail laying neatly beside his black paws.
SMOKE | Warrior | L-Pack | Tagging: Open | Location: Meet Hollow
"Yeah yeah. Whatever. Yes sir, Shadow sir!" Smoke piped up, grinning up at the Alpha, who shot her a vaguely annoyed look from where she stood on top of the stone. A harsh glare was not normally something someone looked for, but it was a reaction that broke Shadow's usual calm outer face, and for whatever reason, that made all the goofing and taunting worth the trouble to the young, dark grey Warrior.
"Worth it." Smoke looked around. They were the first ones there. No sign yet of the Fire wolves. "YAHOO! WE'RE THE FIRST ONES HERE!" She shouted.
LEO | Warrior Trainee | L-Pack | Tagging: Meet Wolves | Location: Meet Hollow
Leo helped Aala carry the blankets in and set them down on one of the logs that served as trading posts, then he dipped his head to her. It was just the Lightning wolves so far, but he was sure their Fire Pack counterparts would be along soon. He had no idea why Shadow was so desperate to keep him of all wolves away from Max. He was almost a Warrior, surely he could take care of himself at this point!
Whatever. She’s my mom, I’ll deal with it. It was a direct order, not a request. He reminded himself with an almost invisible shrug. There were better things to do, and there would be a great number of wolves to talk to if they brought as large a group as they had last time.
