Galaxy pattered up to Aru as he emerged from the Nursery.
"I'm friends with Oliver." Her voice was filled with regret, worry, and even slight annoyance. "I don't want to be." She sighed, and rolled her eyes. It was her fault... if she hadn't gotten mad, they wouldn't be friends now. Galaxy wasn't sure if she'd have to spend time with Oliver or not now. She always saw wolves that were friends, together and they didn't seem to separate unless they had to. Friends didn't seem like a very good thing...

I'm not going to be on from 4:30 till 5:30 and possibly for an hour tonight.

"These. They’re still kinda grubby, but I’ll wash them off in the creek on the way there." Leo pushed the two small, shiny stones he had found earlier towards her. "Don’t know what they’d be worth, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out."

She nodded aand said, "They are very shiny. They have to be worth something really good after u wash them off." She smiled and drank some of the water and ate some of her prey.

"Oh I hope so! I think Smoke traded some stones or something last time." He hadn’t exactly gone out of his way to talk to the bouncy, somewhat overbearing Warrior, but Smoke was nice enough. And loud enough that literally the entire forest knew where she was at all times, Leo couldn’t help but think.

"I dunno what to try and trade for, but I’ll figure something out." He felt bad. Riley had been one of the wolves called on for the night's Meet until she’d had her Pups, but rules were rules. No mothers could attend a Meet as long as their Pups were still nursing, as no Pups were allowed outside of camp. "Is there anything you had hoped to trade for tonight? Maybe I can get it for you since you can’t come tonight."

Aru's ears pricked up at this. Galaxy had a friend now? Then why did she seem so upset? Of course, Oliver had been a bully, but maybe... it was because none of the other Pups ever even gave him the time of day, and he didn’t know how else to get their attention? So wasn’t it a GOOD thing? Of course, she’d just nearly killed him- even on accident- so that was some way to start off a friendship...

If she didn’t want to be friends with Oliver, why didn’t she just break it off? Aru reached forward and gently licked his sister's ear in what he hopped was a comforting gesture of sorts, even though he didn’t really understand the whole situation. He was still of course missing pieces of it. Why be friends with someone you didn’t even like in the first place? That’s what didn’t quite make sense to him.

She wanted to go so bad, but she knew the rules, "Ya I was planning on giving these small shiny shells to someone, but I forgot who." She smiled and looked aat her pups.

"I could try and trade them for something nice for you if you wanted, but there’s always next time too. It’ll be in a couple months, and by then the Pups will have been weaned, right?" He asked. At least, that’s what had happened with him, his mom told him, and it was what he had seen happen with Karter and Aala's little ones too.


SHADOW | Alpha | L-Pack | Tagging: Riley, Rita, Leo, Smoke, Sandpiper, Cole, Alita, Aala, Toby, Peach | Location: Camp


Shadow picked up Rita lightly, then walked over to where the group of wolves had crowded around Riley. Unfortunately, many of them were wolves that had been chosen for the Meet. "Riley, I’m sorry things turned out this way, but you know that now that your young have been born, you must not leave them unattended until they’ve been weaned. Unfortunately, that means you cannot attend the Meet tonight. Toby will come in place. I have to take Smoke, Aala, Sandpiper, and Leo with me in just a few minutes, but should you need help, Ash is in charge of camp while Cole and I are gone, he'll help if you should need anything, and likewise I’m sure Karter or really, ANY of the wolves that are also staying behind would be more than willing to help if you need something."

Shadow offered a sympathetic smile. She was happy for Riley, of course! But the Pups hadn’t been due for at least another couple weeks. An early birth at one of the worst times. Ah well, at least it was in the warm season, and hadn’t happened en-route TO the Meet, or while Accalia was busy and Aala was out.

She nodded and said, "I do it the next time I go." She saw Shadow come in and said, "Good day Alpha Shadow. Yes, even though I am saddened that I can't go, the early arrival of my pups concerns me. Only one pup was on track size wise. That's why he's bigger than the others. I worry for my pups being they were born two weeks early. Especially Lucy who may look peaceful, but she is just so tiny. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." She dipped her head to the Alpha once again and licked Lucy behind the ears.
