He smiled, and looked up at Janai, on Leo's back. "So, you're taking care of a Pup yourself now, huh? It was only a short while ago you were a fluffball of a Pup yourself."

Frost didn't reply, just looked back to his food as he ate.

"Wellll...see, she’s a loner Pup. Obviously she’s not MINE," Leo said quickly. He didn’t even have a mate, and surely he wouldn’t be old enough for a Pup of this age! "But...yeah. She's a loner Pup like I once was, so I wanna take care of her, and if that means tucking her in next to me in the nest and bringing her food and making sure she doesn’t get sick, then that’s what I’ll do. Mum never got to do that for me, because she lost me, but this Pup's been found. Mum...Mum would want me to take care of her too," he guessed.

Catania pricked her ears, still hoping against all the odds that were Frost for an answer. "Frost? You were actually LOOKING at me for once, not just THROUGH me. What’s the matter?" She asked, getting to her feet and walking a few paces forward, though hesitating just a bit, unable at current to gauge his mood.

"Of course, but you know what I mean." He licked Leo's head. "I'm proud of you, Leo. I'm glad to call you my son."

Frost swore silently to himself, having hoped she'd just assume she was mistaken. "It's nothing, really. Just thinking about things that were said."

Leo's normally pale eyes brightened, and a smile came to his face again, tail wagging behind him. Okaaaaaay so maybe he could afford to be a happy pup for a brief moment in time. After all, it wasn’t like he was an adult yet, at a little older than a year and a half old, right?

Catania tucked her tail between her legs. They’d been talking and had quickly shut up once she’d come in. Had they been talking about her? Or if so, WHY? "W-Well...is there anything I can say or do to help?" She asked. She didn’t know if he needed helping, he just seemed to like to think a lot, but it was worth asking.

He shook his head. "Not really. Though... I could use some more herbs, if you have a chance to go out and get some." Test number one.

"Well we just came back from the forest, and well..." Leo nodded towards where Shadow and Everest sat close together, sharing a meal and talking. "I think she’s on a date right now anyway." Did it strike him as odd that it was a wolf he didn’t recognize? Nope. Or that it was another, younger she-wolf? Nope. The fact that his MOM WAS ON A DATE though was absolutely ALIEN! Sky-dogs coming down and singing and dancing was more believable than his MOM, the ALPHA, on a date!

"Wellll...I don’t know know much about herbs except for that minty one and the nasty stuff Jasmin used to treat the cut I got on my first hunt, I think she called it comfrey? But if it'll take stuff off your mind or lessen your workload, I can do that! I dunno where my trainer got off to anyway," Catania noted.

Ash looked over at Shadow and Everest, smiling. "That's alright. She needs some time for herself every so often."

"Some comfrey would be perfect, and if you can find any, jasmine. It's got little purple flowers."

Leo briefly glanced at Vivian. "She'll have to meet Vivian and Janai eventually, hopefully soon, see if they can stay. Though I can’t for the LIFE of me see mum turning anyone away," he pointed out. Especially not if I brought them in. She loves me too much for her own good at times. He decided.

"Ooooh! Jasmine! Like your former trainer! That’ll be easy to remember!" The she-wolf paused. "Any idea where any grows? I can go collect it now, while I have some time," Catania volunteered enthusiastically, ears pricking again from their formerly flattened and concerned position.

"Oh! Okay! That makes it easy!" Catania chirped happily, brightening. "I’ll grab some of that for you and be back really soon! Anything else you need?" She asked.
