Striker nodded and smiled at the scout. He stood up and brushed the bloody bones away. He looked at the two wolves talking and shrugged. He walked over to the healer den and stuck his head inside. “ Alpha Max?” He said quietly, not wanting to wake the Alpha.

Cinnamon shifted her course and slowed to a halt as she saw who she supposed was Scout Talon. She offered a couple slightly confused blinks, then snapped out of her tiny trance and ducked her head with embarrassment for his a moment before she raised it once more. The Trainee rocked on her paws with nervousness as she saw Talon’s wagging tail falter and come to a stop. Did he not like her..? That thought worried Cinnamon. The Trainee’s smile wavered as her voice came out mildly hushed. “Yeah, um, I’m Cinnamon, nice to.. to meet you.”

Athena struggled sat down, scanning the surrounding forest for any signs of prey. “Yeah, I’m not feeling too hungry. Not particularly because of battle, just... yeah, i don’t know” she shrugged. “Oh! Um... yeah, we are” she smiled.

“We all love you too Max. They are so lovely already, I don’t know how I’m going to be able to take care of them” she joked.

Cinnamon could feel her heart drop all the way down and through her paws as Talon spoke. Was it really..? Cinnamon have her fur a firm shake as nervous butterflies flittered around in her belly. "Um, yeah, I'm.. I'm ready when you are." She answered softly, her brow furrowing the slightest bit as her hind paws pattered awkwardly on the ground.

Arnou walked back into camp and sighed. Shaking her wet fur, she walked over to a large sun-lit rock and laid down, closing her eyes.

She let out a small, awkward cough, then allowed a tiny smile to sleep into her muzzle. “Okay.. ready.” Cinnamon exhaled, clearly not knowing what was going to happen next.

Cinnamon hesitated, her.. somewhat rusty mind’s gears clicking into place as she thought. “Um, to patrol the Pack’s territory including the borders and.. report any danger, hint of invasion, or certain scents that, uh, aren’t.. welcome?” The small Trainee stammered, shuffling her paws awkwardly on the ground. She thought that was a pretty good answer herself, but there was a chance that wasn’t even close...
