Arian lowered her head to lick Roland gently between the ears, the only of the Pups that was partially awake. Then she turned her head to look up once more at Erle. "That is problematic," she murmured. "Were they at all with your old Pack?"

"Hmm. We could go right now, if your free." She said, glancing towards the entrance once more. "I might be a bit slow though." Alita glanced at the cut in her leg, then back to Toby. "It's nothing bad, just a bit painful."

Sandpiper waggled her eyebrows as her fluffy, sandy grey tail wagged with pleasure. Leo had agreed, which confirmed that it apparently was a great idea. “Awesoooooome! Now let’s go hunt us down a fox!” She yipped, patterning her paws a little bit on the ground before turning around and raising her twitching nose into the morning air.

Accalia raised her muzzle to the air, her ears swiveling as she tried to search for the wolf. Was he inside a den? Or... out somewhere in the forest..? Probably in camp. She cast a small smile at Golli as she traced his paw step, her eyes scanning the mildly bustling camp.

Catania could sense something was off. Just a bit, but enough to catch her attention. However, Athena did not voice whatever troubled her mind. I'll have to ask after training. She nodded and did her best to mimic the stance, tensed and low to the ground, paws placed firmly on the ground, ready to push off and give chase to prey. "Like this?"

"Of course. I understand." The Alpha longed to reach out and give each of the little Pups one more lick between the ears, breathe in their scent again before he would be separated from them until his illness had gone, but if he was being separated for health reasons, he doubted that would be a good idea.

"If they may be alive, then surely that is a good thing?" Arian asked, fixing her eyes on him. He seemed so sad as he spoke of them. Her expression softened. "Then go find them, Erle. Family is truly one of the world's most precious things," she added, nodding to him.

"We can go now. I’ve got nothing to do since it looks like my Trainee went out on her own," Toby realized, looking around. He frowned at the injury. "Has Accalia seen you it?" He asked. "Just to make sure it’s not infected?"

Would they get in trouble for purposely chasing after a fox? Maybe. Would it draw attention to them? Most definitely! And it was an adventure! "Right, lead the way!"

Frost smirked as he watched the Alpha eat the herbs and berries. Step two of 3 complete. Two days to a dead Alpha.

Ash cuddled against his mate. I wonder... Should I tell her about my family?

"No, she hasn't yet. I was going to see her later, maybe when she wasn't as busy with others. Some need it much more than me." She stood up, shifting her weight off the injured leg uncomfortably.

Sandpiper’s tail wagged with delight as her nose strained hard to catch the fox’s trail. Left..? No, right. She made a heavy turn, and the scent began to grow stronger. Definitely this way, no doubt about that. She declared inside her head, huffing the smallest bit as she stepped over a small bush. “I can kinda smell it, we should be close!” Piper concluded, her ears pricked with interest.

Max finished the terrible-tasting herbs and eyed Frost with narrowed crimson eyes. He couldn’t deny his mistrust of the Healer still. "And these horridly bitter herbs with help fight off this infection?" He asked, not letting his gaze stray from the Healer.

"Yes...I heard we lost a couple in the battle, and even after a truce was proposed, Alpha came home last night with injuries that may have killed a lesser wolf," Toby remembered, glancing briefly towards where the Alpha pair were curled close together.

"How long ago do you think it passed through here?" Leo wondered, trotting at her side, occasionally sniffing the air for the now-familiar scent. The bigger question he had, really, was how long ago had it been there, and how had the Warriors not found it?

Shadow closed her eyes, not because of exhaustion, but more so of contentment. She stayed like that for several seconds before opening her eyes again and once more looking up at the big black wolf. He had an odd look on his face, like something troubled his mind.
