"Not really. I have a little, but the first time I went out, me and another wolf found evidence of a mountain lion near the training hollow. I haven't gone out much since then." She glanced at the entrance, and flicked an ear.

"Well...a Hunter Trainee and a Warrior Trainee...I suppose it’s better than going solo," he decided. Besides! If he could help take down a FOX of all things, surely that’d get him a bit of praise from his trainer, right? Ash had never handed out praise lightly... even if he was the son of his trainer's mate.

Max heaved a sigh. He didn’t want to appear too weak to lead the Pack, even if it was just for a few days, but he had no choice, on a Healer's orders. "Of course." The black Alpha let his gaze linger on Moon for a long moment. Then he turned and followed the young Healer to the den. What else could he do, after all?

"I remember that mountain lion," Toby commented. He should’ve felt bitter, but all that came to mind was hollowness. "We found it later, tracked it down. It killed Blake," he added under his breath, then forced himself to perk up again. "Well, if you ever want, I can show you around."

"Oh..." Alita glanced around uncomfortably. She didn't know what to say to that, but he seemed done talking about the subject. She nodded slowly. "That'd be nice. I'll need to know the territory, if I'm staying."

"It depends on where it is. An infection in the digestive tract can cause many different problems, including an internal sick feeling." He pressed gently against the Alpha's chest, aiming for spots that would hurt regardless of whether or not her was actually sick. As a Healer, he knew how to convince someone they were sick, whether they were or not.

He licked her muzzle gently, and placed his head on her back.

Frost led the Alpha into the den, pulling some herbs from a shelf. Let's see... I'll mix in some nightshade with some foxglove and jasmine to make him think it's truly helping him.

Shadow let herself relax at her mate's touch. Friends since we were small, training together, graduating together, and now... this. I had no idea he cared for me in such a way all this time, and yet he watched me take other mates, and never spoke a word of it. She couldn’t deny her joy at how things had turned out in the end though, and for all her issues with her love life in the past, she was determined this one wouldn't end as poorly as the others had. That one day, they would be able to grow old together and sit in the Elders' den, telling stories to future Pups and Trainees. Yes...certainly, that would be a nice way for things to go.

Max dipped his head respectfully to Jasmine as they entered. She seemed occupied with a startled and for some reason sopping wet Feluris. Then he turned his attention once more to Frost as the younger Healer shifted through various herbs, very few of which Max himself recognized.

"Yeah...though it seems Alpha isn’t really sending the Warriors out on border-guards anymore for whatever reason," the Hunter realized, noticing several Warriors still just milling about the camp. Still. It couldn’t hurt to at least get a feel for the territory. The grey and white wolf stood again. "Whenever you want to, I’ll be happy to show you around!"

Frost wrapped the nightshade berries in the foxglove leaves and jasmine, and handed them to Max. "Eat this. It should help clear up the infection, though it won't cure it."

He licked Shadow's pelt gently, grooming her pelt.

Max sniffed at it warily, for he had never encountered this exact scent before, then eyed Frost for a moment, but Jasmine would not have made Frost a full-fledged Healer if he didn’t know what he was doing. Finally, he bent and licked up the herbs. If it could stop his infection, he would try anything.

Shadow hummed softly. To just stay in camp for a day and share that day with a loved one...that truly was a blessing. She turned to return the gesture, licking gently along the length of his shoulder and neck with a small smile adorning her face.

Athena smiled down at Catania, turning away as it grew sad. “Mostly boars. They are very dangerous, so pay close attention” she instructed, getting down into the crouch she normally used when hunting boars.

MOON
Moon took a step away from Max. “I’ll find someone to look after the pups then I’ll come back” she told them.
