Athena offered the best smile she could, though she feared it was weak. She silently led Catania out into the forest, walking on stiffly. "Ah ok, so today I want to teach you about bigger game since you're really good with smaller game. Do you think you're up to it?" she asked, and despite herself her voice wasn't light.

MOON
Moon got up and picked up the pups once more, going in search of Max.

Shadow took a deep breath and closed her eyes, taking the moment to simply stay where she was for once, and enjoy the warmth and familiarity of her mate's presence.

Max frowned. "Infection? An infection doesn’t normally make one feel INTERNALLY sick, does it?" He asked. He’d faced countless injuries, and had definitely had infected ones before, and yet he had never QUITE felt this sick. But at least it wasn’t one of the poisoned prey.

I’m confused...what's the point of digging one's nose into the dirt? All it does it make a mess and smell all...earthy. I mean...I guess if she likes that kind of thing, that’s fine. Leo just...stayed still, watching her with what almost appeared to be...concern.

Catania's eyes widened in shock. Trainees didn’t usually learn how to take on big game until later into their training, but Athena really thought she was good enough for it already? Her paws tingled, and her heart lightened. "I can do ANYTHING you want me to!" She chirped.

Arian slowly opened her eyes and looked up, smiling to see the face of her mate. She reached up to gently lick his chin. "Good morning to you too. Were you up late? I know last night was full-moon," she remembered.

"It depends on where it is. An infection in the digestive tract can cause many different problems, including an internal sick feeling." He pressed gently against the Alpha's chest, aiming for spots that would hurt regardless of whether or not her was actually sick. As a Healer, he knew how to convince someone they were sick, whether they were or not.

Sandpiper froze for what seemed the longest time before saying something. “AHA!” She barked, slightly muffled.. mainly because she was pulling something up out of the damp soil. She gave a couple sharp tugs and a small group before finally pulling the thing free. The Trainee slapped it down on the ground and took a closer look. Rabbit. No, hare. she corrected herself in her head, staying silent as she nosed the carcass around onto its other side. Wolf..? Hawk... No! Piper’s tail swing around in the air as she realized. Fox! she sneaked in her head, the glancing at Leo, her eyes sparkling as she gently pushed it towards him. “Here, smell this.”

“Now I know it’s too early, but I’m only for going small-big prey. It will help enhance your skills. We will only practise moves for now. I don’t want to endanger you” she commented and showed her some basic moves.

MOON
Moon found Max with Frost and she frowned. “What’s going on??” She asked.

"Small big prey?" She asked, tilting her head to one side. Somehow, the words didn’t QUITE make sense, but she figured Athena knew what she was talking about. She was a full-fledged Hunter, after all.

At the pressure, Max grunted, but otherwise didn’t react. What Frost said made sense, to a degree. He looked up as his mate approached, and offered a weak smile. "I was ill this morning," he explained. "Frost here believes I have an infection of some sort from the battle wounds."

Leo sniffed at it hesitantly. It didn’t smell the greatest, but it wasn’t totally terrible either. "Okay...?" He looked at the other Trainee with confusion. "What about it?

"Well...you’re certainly capable of movement..." Jasmine noticed, but didn’t react to the snarl. As Healer, she’d had to deal with a number of upset wolves, but what worried her was the questioning who she was. "It’s me, Feluris. Jasmine, the Healer? Can you tell me what happened?"

Sandpiper raised an eyebrow in surprise. He couldn't smell it? Odd. The young Trainee pawed the carcass towards her, tilting her sandy grey head at it. "It's a hare carcass.. it reeks of.." She paused, letting out a low humming sound as she gazed at Leo. "Fox!" She barked excitedly, waving her tail in all directions as her eyes sparkled with adventure and energy. Her mind was not wandering.. it was racing. Maybe we could hunt it down!! Bring it back to camp? Become legends?!? her head yelled at her. Piper really wanted to say this out loud but thought better to see what the white-furred Trainee thought.

Frost nodded to Moon. "His symptoms aren't consistent with the poisoned prey, so I doubt it's that. It's either an infection, or a disease we aren't aware of."

“It means the smallest of the big prey. Have you got a suggestion as to what that might be?” She quizzed Catania, already knowing the answer herself.

Moon had all pups balanced perfectly in her back. “Ill? What type of... how bad is the infection?” She asked.
