Striker smiled and walked into the camp, Talon at his side. He padded slowly to the prey pile and looked around. His eyes brightened “ Hey! There’s a vole!” He grabbed it quick and waited for Talon to make his selection.

Hugo wagged his tail limply. His heart moaned as he watched her smile disappear. “ I’m so sorry my love” he whined, and licked her nose.

Accalia

Accalia snuggled up into Golli's magnificently soft fur, grateful for his heat. The very early mornings were always brisk. She listened as he spike with interest, thinking. She had already said everything that was on her mind... in front of the Alphas. And some Firewolves. And Golli. Accalia heaved a small sigh and shuffled her paws the slightest bit. "I mean... this may be a little rude.." she hesitated, her voice small. "I wondered... if I could ask you the same question?" She waited in a slightly nervous silence. "I-In the way of, like, you' know, first... relationship?" she breathed, closing her eyes.

"I don’t know. I’ve only been up a couple of hours," he pointed out. "But nobody up there ever said anything about it if there was ever a takeover attempt. I ASSUME the two would be kept WELL away from each other." He walked over and touched his nose to Mattias', then licked Athena's ear. "We have to go. I’m so sorry. We'll see you again though, of course." He walked back to Octavia and nodded. "Just...close your eyes and imagine the most beautiful place you can. Starris probably looks that way, and the light should take us there."

Mattias looked up in pain as Acero retreated. This day had taken not one, but TWO of his friends. He dipped his head to them. "Go swiftly and safely," he urged them, then turned back to Athena. "I know. Once the sun has come up, and the Pack have returned to their regular activities in a couple of hours, Alpha Max will order a proper burial for those who have passed," he promised. "He always does."

Fish crouched silently at the edge of the water, watching the rushing current for a long time before her paw shot out, and she felt claws connect. Drawing herself back she tugged her paw out, a small-ish trout flopping on the grass until she ended it with a swift blow. "Breakfast for you," she told Jupiter, pushing it towards her. Then she touched her nose to her friend's. "Lots of love, I’ll see you soon, I promise." She offered a small smile as the sun's rays began to filter through the trees, lighting her felt, catching the sparkling stars on it.

Sandpiper blinked awake, letting out an enormous yawn as faint sunlight shone into the Trainee's Den. She stayed quiet for a moment, then almost instantly became filled with energy. Wow!! Morning! Nice! she thought to herself, her tail wagging all around. Piper leapt to her sandy grey paws, exited to start the day.. peacefully. She inhaled the sweet air, nearly choked on a leaf she breathed in, and barreled out of the den. The Trainee squinted, searching camp for anyone to do anything with. She giggled to herself as she approached the fresh-kill pile, licking her lips. Her stomach rumbled with hunger as she eagerly poked around the remains with her nose.

Seeing a flicker of motion in the corner of his eye, Leo turned towards it, perking up to see one of the other Trainees had risen and emerged. He shrugged and jogged over to her as she eyed the food. She had the right idea. The sun was up, the day was started, and wolves needed to eat! "Good morning!"

Sandpiper flicked her tail in greetings as she raised her head, her round eyes sparkling. “Hiya, Leo! Good morning, how are you?” She asked, tilting her head with interest. The Trainee made a mental note to go hunt; there wasn’t much left in the pile besides a couple squashed birds, a fairly plump mouse, and a deer hoof.. that wasn’t even food.

"Not bad, though I think mum couldn’t say the same." She was being seen to by Naru though, so Leo had ever confidence she would be okay. "What about you?"

Piper offered a large smile as her tail thumped on the ground. “I’m doing pretty great! Thanks for asking.” She barked, tilting her head to look at the prey pile with a slightly disappointed look. “However, literally nothing here is even fit for a crow except that mouse, so I think I’ll see if I can bug anyone into coming hunting with me.” She shrugged, facing Leo again. She kind of wished he could come with her. Leo was nice and friendly. However, he was a Warrior so that pretty much scratched his company off.
