Athen smiled sympathetically up at Mattias. She now understood what it felt like to lose someone. She once more rested her head on Mattias’s shoulder. Her breath hitched in her throat and she sat up slightly to study Mattias to tell if he was kidding. “I... you... you like me?” She asked, her voice shaking slightly.
MOON
Moon smiled when she felt Max’s muzzle against her cheek. She nuzzled back, her paws occupied by clambering pups.

If we had more time together... Max kept the thought to himself though, and simply settled himself. He wasn’t feeling the best since he’d eaten, but his time with his mate eased his worries.
