feluris ran until her paws collapsed underneath her. she felt her chest heaving. feluris slowed her breathing, she dropped her muzzle down until the damp dirt pressed against her nose. she closed her eyes, taking in every rustle of leaves, every chirp of birds, every breath she made. feluris was at peace. this is so unlike me. running of like that? though a battle with death hasn't happened since- . feluris squeezed her eyes closed. she shivered. don't think about that feluris. just focus your mind on your surroundings, see how peaceful it is?

A sad smile came to his face. "Always," he admitted. "Ever since I saw my sister's face when she held her Pups, young as she was. She looked at them with a love I never thought possible, even though she raised them without their father," he added quietly. "I’d never been out there enough to truly connect with anyone though, and when I do, it’s generally on a distant and platonic or professional level. What about you?"

Leo's head snapped up, eyes darting towards Phoenix as she spoke. He had seen her move on to Axel, and had not expected to be spoken to again. "I...can’t hunt. I’ve never been taught, and I don’t think Warriors are allowed, but I’d come along for the company."

Phoenix nodded. “That would be fine, I wouldn’t mind the company if you aren’t doing anything. Who knows, I might make a hunter of you yet.” She chuckled mischievously but not meaning any real harm to his title to become a warrior. “I feel as though we have more Warriors than Hunters. Which there isn’t anything wrong with having extra protection. Don’t get me wrong I like it....”

Leo shrugged and stood. "With Smoke graduated now, I think the numbers are about even," the small white wolf commented. He swished his tail against the dusty ground. "I’d be more than glad to get out of camp for a while." The sight of Aiyana, his fellow Warrior Rainer AND trained in sessions daily with him under the same trainer... the images were too fresh.
