Cinder was taken aback at Maple's reaction to her observation. So much so that she lifted a forepaw, clearly feeling unsure, though she was mainly unaware of the gesture. It just came naturally. Cinder thought they had gotten past not trusting each other, so she was not expecting Maple to react so defensively.
"N-nothing." Cinder began with a stutter, but then found her voice and spoke at an even tone. "It's just, I thought your friends were more, you know, us-sized."
Cinder offered a soft chuckle that came out slightly uneasy, though genuine.

The three wolves padded along, following the deer trail. Mercury led the way, while Kaj walked behind him and Lowell brought up the rear. All three were eager to begin the hunt, but first, they needed to find the herd. Mercury was in front, so Kaj trusted him to give the signal once the trio had caught up to their prey. In the mean time, Kaj focused his energy on remaining quiet and keeping pace with his companions. Every once in awhile, he thought he heard a tail brushing foliage somewhere behind him, but Kaj said nothing to Lowell about it. He trusted Lowell to be able to calm himself on his own without needing shush-ing like a pup. Kaj had to admit it was easy to let excitement get in the way of stealth. He had trouble keeping quiet more often than he would like to admit, as a hunter himself. It was just part of the job as far as he was concerned.

Shade waited for his mate and pup to leave, before glancing at Naomi. Listening to her words, and watching her body language. “Well I trust you, that’s one reason I suppose.” He muttered begging to walk the direction Naomi had come from. “Don’t worry, I’m sure he’s just having one of his moments.... ever since he was a pup it was like that, mother was always worried.” He stated, with a sad smile. Turning to glance back at Naomi, “I know he can be hard to handle... however he’s a trouble wolf, ever since he was little... fitting in was hard for him.” He said before continuing to head in to his destination.

Ghost’s hearts stayed folded back, gaze to the ground. His ears perking up, at her question. “N..no! It wasn’t you, it was me.... I didn’t choose my words carefully, so I....” his ears went back down again. He glanced over after being nudged, he sighed. “I’m a half blooded packmember.... what I mean by that is, I’m the offspring of a loner and pack wolf. So I’m not exactly respected as much... and my choice of words earlier, caused a few issues... so ya.” He stated, with a sigh. He sat down, his tail swaying through the grass.

Mercury couldn’t hide his grin, at the others. They reminded him of excited little pups on their first hunt. It was a bit refreshing? It eased tensions and stress, his head dipped lower. When he spotted the herd, his tail going still. Lowering to the ground as he moved through the grass silently. Ears perking up as he listened carefully, waiting for the others. He wanted to work as a ‘team’ the best he could. Though he wasn’t use to it all that much.

"Thank you. If you need anything I will be with Nova then." She said calmly before pausing as she reached down for the rabbit. She lifted her head and faced the alpha once again. "Actually, If it is alright with you, I will go take Nova down to the river for a while. I'll see if I can't catch any fish as well." She looked towards the den, where she had left her pup earlier in the morning. She could still smell the scent of the pup, likely still sleeping the morning away. "I don't know if it would be smart to leave only you in camp though, so if you would rather I not then that is fine as well." She shifted her weight. Personally she had no qualms with Bloodmoon pack. She had considered joining them when she first arrived in the territory; however, she had not been impressed with their alphas and had felt Shadow pack would be stronger and more able to protect her pup and provide them stability. She did not doubt Needle's leadership or abilities, but she also knew that if there was an attack at camp one wolf would not be an adequate defense.
"We can wait until the patroles return." She finished.

Nova

The pup could hear her mother's voice as she talked to Needle outside. The idea of going out of camp for a while had quickly awoken her. She stretched and yawned, her small frame twitching as her body woke up. Since she had not slept well the night before it took her a few more minutes to get to her paws. Once up she stretched a few more times before pausing in her tracks. She heard her mother offer to instead stay until the patrols returned and frowned. Tentatively she stuck her head out of the den to see the two adults, wondering what the alpha would say.

Solaris

Solaris listened to the pup as they walked, his tag still in motion. As she finished speaking he turned to face her with a broad smile. "No need to feel bad. You can't know what you havent been taught.--There is nothing wrong with a pup not knowing something, Id be happy to show and teach you a few things; that is, if you want me to." He mused a little more serious than he normally was. "There is never anything wrong with asking for help or asking to learn, any wolf who scolds you for doing so is no more mature than a wet pup still on milk." He blinked and then paused, finding the edges of the deer trail. They were still in Bloodmoon territory, only a mile or two from camp, and hopefully safe from any dangers. "I don't know if we will find any deer but there should at least be the scent of them left from this morning." He smiled.

She looked over at Naomi and Corentin confusedly, shaking her head at Naomi's words 'it was one loner? not a pack of them?' she thought sighing 'seriously she needs to do something about her hate toward outsiders' she keeps thinking to turn to Corentin "we can go look for Ghost, but I don't see any reason for that, if he seriously want to leave it his decision, we can't just force anyone to stay against their own will" she said to him. She looked over at the alpha pair, then back at Corentin 'Ghost being so interested in someone loner? Could this loner be someone he knows or just loves for a first sight?' she thought herself.

She walked next to next with the adult wolf, watching him and the forest for anything interesting "thank you, you're so nice I am happy that I come to talk to you...other could just chase me away" she said looking some bushes when saw some movements there, but noticed soon that it was just a bird. She was trying to catch a bird few time before, but never ever got close enough to catch them, the birds always got away "I am fine just to learn the scent of a deer, catching a deer could be great, but....could two of us even catch a deer?" she asked as the question popped to her head.

He closed his eyes and enjoyed the fresh silent forest air, when a crashing voices around him started to bother his rest, narrowing his eyes he looked over to the way seeing a pelt of a wolf showing near some bushes there, trying to catch some rabbits, noticing it was one of his pack mates Alize " you are too noisy and too slow, fix those little things and catching a rabbits could be pups play" he said to her, when the she-wolf was closer enough.

After cursing her bad luck with rabbits, she cast an annoyed glare towards the male wolf and walked towards him. "You think I'm too noisy?" She scoffed, "Have you seen that rabbit's ears? They're huge!" She stopped right in front of him and stood straight, looking Ouroboros right in the eye. "Unless you think you could do better?"

Naomi watched and waited, just as Shade did, for his mate and pup to leave. Looks like they would have to continue their little tour some other day. “Well I trust you, that’s one reason I suppose.” Taken aback, Naomi cast him a slightly confused expression - but she quickly returned to neutral to focus back on the task at hand. Naomi followed him as he began traveling to find that little trouble maker, Ghost. “I know he can be hard to handle... however he’s a troubled wolf, ever since he was little... fitting in was hard for him.” The beta didn't care, honestly. Troubled or not, that didn't excuse him from being a useful packmate - in her opinion. Though for once she didn't voice it. "Very well... I'll help find him,"

Maple calmed herself, sighing. “I’m sorry.... I didn’t mean to snap at you. I just didn’t know if you’d see them as....” she paused, going silent for a few moment. “I wasn’t sure if your were as similar to other wolves... I’ve ran into shadow pack wolves before... towards pups, I’m not sure they kinda are well... very aggressive wolves I guess, I didn’t want my pups growing up there..” Maple glanced over beaconing her pups to come out, glancing to Cinder. “Hey uh.. I know we just met and all, however do you think your pack would accept us?” She asked curiously, hoping for the sake of her pups.

Nik watched as his sister slowly went out, then watching her reaction. He ran out when she tripped, “you silly idiot! What did mother tell you! Lunine saw her mother nudge her head, slowly one step after another. she padded out from the bushes, tail and ears down. Sniffing the other wolf, her eyes lit up. She ran circles around her, “she’s from a pack! Does that mean we are gonna have a bigger family?!” The pup asked excitedly, before tripping over her paws. She picked herself back up, shaking her fur calming down very quickly.

Lowell took a few breathes, calming himself down. His tail stilled his ears perking at the scent of deer grew much stronger. Before he spotted them grazing in a field, the trees slowly disappearing. The tall grass now being the only think to hide them, his body movements became more cautious.

Cinder relaxed as Maple did and listened as she explained her feelings further. Her cautious attitude made more sense if she had already had a bad experience with Shadow Pack. She felt the muscles across her muzzle tighten at the very thought of those scoundrels. Shadow Pack wolves were a lot of things, and none of them good. Cinder made a mental note to ask more about that later. It was bound to be a good story, at least, but she had the sense to keep her questions to herself for the time being so that she could focus her attention on something else.
The dark grey wolf watched as a pair of pups emerged from the bushes. One was pale as moonlight, and the other was golden like the sun. Instantly, Cinder found herself thinking of them as the "sun-and-moon pair" before she even knew their names. She was about to ask, when Maple beat her to it with another question. Maple seemed interested in joining the Blood Moon Pack. Cinder's heart swelled with excitement at the thought of having 24/7 access to what must be endless stories Maple might have to share.
"I think your chances are good." Cinder answered. "Our alpha, Shade, is pretty understanding. His own brother is half-loner, actually."
Cinder had scarcely gotten the words out of her muzzle before the sun pup started prancing circles around her, only to trip over her own paws. The moon pup was quick to pounce on the opportunity to scold his sister. Cinder lowered herself to the pups' level and addressed them.
"You have a lot of energy," she observed of the sun pup before turning to the moon pup with a playful grin. "And you are a stick-in-the-mud."
They really were opposites, like the moon and the sun.

Corentin stopped and turned back to face Erebos, who seemed to have far more compassion for Ghost's predicament. It was refreshing, and he felt the tension draining from his muscles by the second. However, he still felt somewhat surprised by her reluctance to search for Ghost. In Corentin's opinion, Ghost had hardly had an objective conversation about the merits of loner life before he ran away. Ghost had gotten emotional and likely was not thinking clearly, so he felt it was unfair to give up on him so easily when he was hardly in a state to be doing life-changing things like that. However, Erebos did have a point. Emotional or not, there was hardly a point to drag a wolf pack if they did not want to stay. It all boiled down to whether Ghost really meant it or not.
"I suppose you're right, Erebos. If he was just upset, he'd come back on his own, right?"
He looked the beta in the eyes as he asked the question. It seemed he was looking more for reassurance than anything else. Corentin was not one to make things his business when they did not have to be, but everything had happened so suddenly and dramatically that was still shaken by the whole affair.

Movement caught her eye, and Needle cast the briefest of glances towards the entrance of the den she knew to be regularly occupied by Kali and her pup, Nova. Sure enough, the youngster was peeking out at the two adults, but Needle paid her no further attention. She was preoccupied with her conversation with Kali, who happened to bring up some good points. It was generally better not to leave camp too empty if it could be helped, but in this case, the bases were covered a bit better than it seemed. Even if a Blood Moon raid managed to slip past the border patrol she had sent out earlier, Needle knew that Ouroboros and Alize should be nearby. Needle saw no reason to keep Kali from bonding with her daughter or Nova from a valuable fishing lesson.
"Hm... Yes, that is a fine point, but..."
Needle flashed a mischievous, knowing grin in Nova's direction before she continued. She fully anticipated Nova would much rather go out with Kali than sit around here.
"I have a patrol out checking for any trouble, and if trouble gets past them, Ouroboros and Alize are a howl away. So, you two have a good time."
Then, she turned her attention directly to Nova, and called out to the pup with a friendly tail-wag.
"What do you think, Nova, am I tough enough to handle things here?"
Needle had to admit, it was nice to steal moments like these where she could let her fun side show a little more. Pups were refreshing like that.

Kaj noticed Mercury's change of stance and followed suit. He lowered himself into the tall grass and stalked forward in a wide curve to Mercury's left, intending to place himself at an angle so that he could attack in a semi-pincer maneuver. He left Mercury's right wide open, assuming Lowell would take the hint and fan out in that direction. However he moved slowly, making sure to keep a close eye on Mercury and Lowell as well as the deer in front of him. It was vital that Kaj coordinate himself with his packmates in order to make the hunt successful, so he made sure to track their movements and body language.

Becka

Becka tried her best to piece Ghost's story together from the sparse details he was providing. Whatever happened, it was clear that he blamed himself for it, but the only thing he mentioned was not "choosing his words carefully". That could mean anything, really. It was possible that Ghost had said something really rude or inflammatory, but he failed to strike Becka as the sort of wolf who would do that. What seemed more likely was that his pack had been unnecessarily harsh with him in some way, a theory that was supported by his confession or being "half-blooded", as he put it. Becka had heard of packs that took their hierarchy and purity very seriously. Perhaps Ghost was something akin in an omega due to the circumstances of his birth.
"That's just wrong. You didn't choose your parents and you didn't ask to be born the way you were, so it's not fair for other wolves to treat you differently based on something you can't control."
Her conviction was clear on that subject. It was a matter that was dear to her own heart, and something she believed strongly, but she chose not to dwell on it. Becka could do nothing to change the past, but she could do something about the future. She needed to figure out what to do about Ghost.
"But, anyway... What do you plan to do now?"
It was hard to tell exactly how serious the situation was. Becka was unsure whether Ghost had been thrown out of his pack or if he had left on his own, so she did not know if he intended to ever return, or even if that was an option to him anymore.

She shook her head side to side lightly "I think so, I just don't get why did this loner make him so upset, could this wolf be someone he knows?" she said mostly to herself but didn't mind if the Scout could give his options about her little question. She didn't see the whoöe think what Naomi did, or what truly happened with Ghost, she only knew about the loner, because of the smell and listening to the others 'the smell?' she thought to notice the same smell coming not too far away "that loner is still there...with Ghost..." she said with a flick of her tail.

He narrowed his eyes when the she-hunter faced him "yes you are noisy and yes I could do better, but I don't feel like it, right now" he said to her, slowing his head over his paws "as you can see, I am taking my peaceful happy times by myself" he said to her.

Kayla listens to Shade reply to Naomi's question, hoping Ghost will be okay. Upon hearing Shade asking her if she could take Kade back to the pack camp she nods, agreeing that it is a good idea. "Thats probably for the best." she said. "Good luck and be careful Shade. Come on Kade, lets go back to the pack. We can continue showing you around the territory later." She gently noses Kade in the direction towards the pack camp, following behind him to make sure he stays safe along the way.
