Cassius hadn't yet noticed Drogo slip off, but it wasn't long until he did. After finishing his meal he lifted his head to notice the other male had left without a word. Cassius assumed he went on to scout ahead. Still sitting down, Cassius once again ran his eyes over everyone. "Is everyone ready to head out again? Or should we wait a little while longer?" He asked everyone present. A part of him however, though it best to keep moving since Drogo had already left.

Shy froze as she seen Ira and Finn close in her. She flattened her ears and tucked her tail between her legs. The fae gazed at the ground so as not to make eye contact with either of them. Behaviour that pawns were suppose to do when interacting with high ranking wolves. His voice sounded, asking her questions, questions she dreaded to answer. It hadn't occurred to her until now that she had broken a kingdom rule. "Yes." She answered the bishop quietly, "I was following one but it ran away before I could speak to it." Shy kept her body still, while her mind raced with concerns. What would happen to her? Would they find out the truth? Did they see her? The fae found herself in a bit of a predicament.

Drogo was enjoying the silence and loneliness for but a brief moment. Sometimes he preferred to wander ahead so that he could clear his mind. He let his mind wander as his paws padded across the earth. That's when it his him.....a territory mark. The black males entire body went rigid and he came to a sudden halt. His ears swiveled on high alert. Where had Sapien gone? Was he himself too far ahead of the pack? How far had he wandered? The thoughts ran through his head quickly before he had heard a voice up in the distance. Drogo was certain it was Sapien's, so he slowly started in the direction. He didn't move fast so he could assess the situation before having to act.

Ira glared at Finn for his joke. He was always picking on her, even when she was trying to be serious. As he spoke of Shy being distant lately Ira nodded quickly in agreement. Something had been off about the pawn. She hadn't thought too hard on it simply because of the other female's rank. It wasn't that Ira didn't care about any of the lower ranked wolves, she just didn't really pay as much attention to them. As the pawn came into view Ira looked her over once quickly. Her stance was as it should be when conversing with higher ranked wolves. "Hunting are we?" Finn's question struck Ira as odd. Certainly he smelled the stranger, yet he always preferred to ask questions. She scoffed silently as he asked about the loner. Ira stared at Shy with such intensity awaiting her response. "...it ran away before I could speak to it." Ira growled low at the pawn's answer. It wasn't her responsibility to speak with the loner, it was for the king to do. Something wasn't right, and Ira was determined to find out what. "Which way did it go?" Her voice came out in a harsh snarl.

uneasy. that was the most essential feeling that crowded Ryker's mind. as a "mutt", ryker did not often make friends. before the creation of the black river guild, no other pack would accept her. ryker felt that she was walking on eggshells, and indeed was quite confused as to how she ended up there at all. Ryker was sitting near Cassius, someone who she felt eternally grateful to, yet was awkward in her behavior towards him. I want to stay, I have to make them want me to stay too. She felt like she needed to take a breath, the closeness to so many wolves made her heart crash in her chest and she was covered in a slick cold sweat. When she saw Drogo leave, she felt that to be wise. Just after they began walking again, she sprinted up ahead and wandered after Drogo. he was quiet and peaceful and she didn't feel the need to intrude. Yet when he began to look nervous, she got curious. what is he doing? Indeed he was acting very skittish. Ryker ran through the woods and came up next to him. "Drogo!" she hissed, What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"Drogo! What's the matter with you? You look like you've seen a ghost." The sudden voice made Drogo turn and snarl at Ryker before he realized who it was. The female had startled him. He hadn't noticed that the deputy was following so close to him. With a sigh of frustration at himself he gave the female a very apologetic look. "Sorry." He turned his head and sniffed the air again. "It's a territory mark of a pack. That and I could have sworn I heard Sapien up ahead, but I'm not sure." The black male took a cautious step in the direction of the voices he thought he heard.

The king snarled loudly at the sudden appearance of an unknown wolf. While he clearly did not mean to harm him, and even politely questioned his name, he was still a trespasser. Oh, poor fool. However, he had to pick a way to deal with this. Normally, had this wolf been caught by the knights, he would have been brought to him in a large escort. But there was no guards with him. He was also clearly younger than the king, and though he hated to admit it, he was beginning to weaken slightly in his age. The male, deep in his thoughts on what his actions should be, kinda just stood there, snarling.

The loner's ears lowered when she detected the scent of other wolves. Shy seemed to notice too, telling her that she needed to run. She was at once thankful she had trusted her; who knows what would have happened had she not shown kindness. The female began to run before briefly stopping and saying: "Be careful." Dakota then resumed running, not looking back despite her instincts screaming at her to. It didn't feel right to leave behind her "friend" but Shy had told her to run, so she thought that she knew what she was doing.

Ryker slowly put the pieces together. A pack mark. She knew the area and she wasn't stupid. Could it possibly be the kingdom's mark? she prayed not. and why was sapien so far ahead? "Oh god. I don't know if you're thinking what I'm thinking, but it sounds like it might be the kingdom's mark. If it is, we're in deep if we cross one of the king's men. I need to alert the rest, since they're coming up behind. If I go find Cassius, will you go find sapien? " Ryker became incredibly worried. She had crossed the kingdom before, and it was not pretty. They were ruthless and would tear them apart if they found the black river guild on their land.

After both Drogo, Roger, and Ryker had left, Cassius felt he should press on. The male finished up the rabbit he had been eating and stood again. He gave a nod to everyone to signal they would be moving and began walking at a slow pace towards the hills he had talked about so Bernadette wouldn't get so tired and so she could keep up. A little spike of worry began to grow inside him, both for his guild and the members that went to scout ahead. He sensed trouble however one thought gave him a little comfort. If they were in trouble... they'd howl. he thought to himself as he walked, getting closer to the small rolling hills.

Shy winced at Ira's snarl. The pawn stayed still. She was really in it now. Shy thought long and hard, feeling Finn's and Ira's gazes upon her. She felt as though she should disappear right then but she couldn't do that unfortunately. There was no easy way out of this. What should I do? she asked herself. She couldn't tell them where Dakota went, they'd find her. She couldn't lie because there would be no scent trail to follow. She couldn't run. The pawn continued to gaze down at the ground, and decided to hold her tongue. She knew what was going to happen next, so Shy prepared her mind and body for it.

Startled by the snarl, Roger stepped back a bit, realizing what kind of situation he was in.

"A cautious type? huh."

Piece by piece, Roger figured out why these strange things are happening.

'Wait a second, that wolf can't be a loner, he's too clean to be one. Then that means there's only one explanation about this, so that means......... Did I step into one of the territories of that kingdom pack? But how!?'

Roger did run away from the kingdom of Chazar, which led him to join the guild for personal reasons, but that's not the case. If the guild is heading at the direction where the kingdom is, then at this rate, they would be wiped in a manner of days, this definitely could be a problem.

'If the wolf was clean, then he might be one of the knights patrolling the area, although there is a chance he could also be the king.....'

His loathing to the king of Chazar was too much to handle, it was kind of trauma to him. Besides, why would a king wander off to a forest without bodyguards? It doesn't make sense. So obviously, it would be one of the knights patrolling the area. Since all of the knights battle occasionally on wars and sometimes on disputes in regards for ranking, they would often lick themselves in order to heal their wounds or clean themselves for proper looks.

....

'Damn it, I wandered too far into the forest, I need to solve this quickly as soon as possible.'

By this moment, any wolf can see that Roger was just standing there in an unusual manner. Roger was in his proactive state, that's how he thinks whenever he needs to plan something important. While he was thinking, an idea popped up.

"Oh, sorry for the inconvenience. I was just thinking about some things that you wouldn't be interested in. By the way, I think I saw something crawling in your fur."

Ira took note of the pawn's wince at her snarl. Is she hiding something? The bishop took a step closer and sniffed the air around Shy. Ira knew that if she got too far out of control Finn would stop her, he always did. Her upper lip curled back as she watched Shy watched the ground and didn't speak a word. "Well?!" Her voice was more harsh this time and her teeth snapped shut mere inches from Shy's face.

Drogo stopped and looked at Ryker confused. He had never heard of the kingdom, but he could now see the worry spread across Ryker's face as well. "I don't know anything about a kingdom, but your worry is enough to tell me it's bad. Go warn the guild, I will find Sapien." He quickly agreed with the deputy's plan. The guild needed warning, and he had to make sure Sapien was safe. He nodded to Ryker and started off towards the voices he heard pausing briefly to call back, "Be careful!"

The pawn flinched at Ira's snarl "Well?!" A small whine escaped her muzzle feeling the other female's teeth inches from her face. Shy maneuvered away to look in the other direction. She couldn't give away Dakota's position. "I can't tell you." She spoke quietly. Fear engulfed her. Just take me away. she silently begged. What was in her future Shy had no idea, but she knew it most likely wasn't good. She swallowed and then repeated a little louder "I can't tell you." Perhaps if she was stubborn enough Ira would get fed up and give in but that was her only shot at this point, and Ira never gave in that easily.
