At the sight of Elkie, Alaster bounded down to greet her. "Hey Elkie!" He exclaimed as he leapt down, before casting an uncertain glance around him at all the people. For a moment it seemed he was going to pretend to be tired, before he childishly prodded Elkie in the side and barked, "Tag!", turning around and streaking out of the cabin.

"Good morning." Rosana replied softly, stretching and shaking bits of moss from her fur. "You're up earlier than I expected. Is everything okay?" The whippet began to lead him off to where they had been temporarily storing the herbs in a crack to fend off the cold instead of in their usual spot. She nosed the herbs out of the crack and pawed through them as she awaited Blair's response, noting which ones they would need more off to prepare for the winter months, shivering slightly.

the athletic female found herself being awoken from her sleep by a cool voice saying her name and blinked her eyes open. pulling herself to her paws, she shook the sleep from her body as she nodded to jasper for awakening her. for awhile, the other female had found the dalmatian very attractive and charming, and thought about pursuing something with him. but after hearing about the last mate that he had had and how badly it ended between them and how some canines considered him a player, so she had just kept things between them more formal, guardian to guardian. and she really didnt know sabine that well; if she was being honest, she didnt know anyone that well. most of her packmates considered her to be so dedicated to her job that she wasnt very much fun to be around. if she was honest with herself, she would like to have more friends within the pack, as well as eventually find a mate to love her for their lives, but she wasnt good at starting things like that. shaking her thoughts from her head, she spoke in her typical calm voice. "time for morning patrol i imagine?"

sleeping in was something the young lad liked to do; more than half of the time, he didnt get up until his mentor came and nudged him awake to begin training for the day. but for the other one fourth of the time, he was so energy ridden that he would go out and find things to entertain himself, like bunnies hiding under the cabin or chasing a lizard climbing the cabin walls. today was one of those mornings, where he was up and bouncing with energy, his tongue flapping out and his tail wagging ferociously fast. he hadnt seen his mentor yet that morning, so his green eyes scanned the cabin for someone to entertain him. they landed on the brown and white form of a borzoi who was the healer trainee and someone that he considered himself to have a positive relationship with. blair was one of the only more calming canines of the pack who could actually get him to slow down as well. racing over to his friend, he skidded to a stop just short of the whippet that was his friends mentor, a smile growing on his face as greeted the pair. "morning rosana! morning blair, i was gonna ask if you wanted to go for a jog around but it looks like you already had one." he chuckled a bit as he headbutted the other trainee playfully.

being a very high-energy breed, she never slept for more than a few hours a night. she enjoyed being out during the night, and was often missing from morning meetings because she was still out running through the valley. this morning was similar to those, as she had gotten maybe three hours of sleep before taking off through the packs territory. she loved feeling the wind blowing through her long fur as she ran at high speeds, loved seeing just how strong her reflexes were as she had to jump over fallen trees and snap around sudden bends. as the sun began to slowly rise, she turned her movement back towards the cabin, wanting to take part in whatever hunting patrols would be going out. slipping up the steps and into the cabin, her eyes fell on the pack king, and her ears perked as she heard something about an elk hunt. approaching the small but growing group, she dipped her head in respect to the king, her tail wagging in excitement at the thought of such a big prey hunt. "king zai, i would love to accompany the group on the elk hunting, if you would have me. and of course my trainee mansi; i think it would be a great opportunity for learning for him."

Lucy wakes up with a start her paws brushing the hard cabin floor, she growls softly in annoyance but stands up slowly allowing herself to stretch. It was an uncomfortably cold morning for fall and brought some of the early winter coldness to the cabin. Lucy slowly makes her way around her sleeping packmates, her paws still stiff and cold from the night. Slowly, she makes her way through the woods investigating any small sounds that might happen to sound like prey. Lucy knew there would be hunting patrols soon but she always liked to start early especially in times like fall when prey was starting to become scarce. Suddenly she catches the scent of something she doesn't recognize at first getting rather excited at the thought of new prey only to feel slight disappointment a few moments later when she realizes it was just Jovian, "Hey Jovian," Lucy mumbles coming to sit next to him when she finally catches up to his scent, "long night, huh?" she asks making a lame attempt at conversation. Lucy knew that a lot of the pack also called Jovian Big Joe since he was one of the larger dogs in the pack but Lucy refused to as she was just as large as him if not larger and to her it just felt odd.

Horus had always had a soft spot for sakura. He could feel his usual calm demeanour change and butterflies in his stomach whenever he spends the time with the hunter. "Perhaps you're up for a casual stroll by the river after my patrol?" horus asked the herder, watching her intently with his warm chocolatey eyes. The utonagan is not sure if he's up for a family or anything like it. He was successful in his career but failing in his love life. horus had found it hard to maintain a relationship long enough for love to bloom. Even now he is not entirely sure sakura has feelings for him at all. The senior guardian had being so dedicated to his job that he sometimes neglects his friends and families. Although the peaceful times had made the strict horus much more relaxed than before and he would be willing to start trying for a stable relationship.

The saluki was rather downcast as jasper ran off to wake up his fellow guardians inside the cabin. Turning her head around, rhea padded slowly out of camp. She knew jasper was quite a player amongst the females, but she cound't help but to be attracted to "Oh crap what am I doing, she murmured to herself, "morning hunting patrol's about to start." At the realisation of this, rhea turned her heels and sprinted back along the forest path, taking a short cut. In her frenzy to get back to the cabin, the saluki trips over her feathered long limbs, and manages to tumble across the forest floor, kicking up dried leaves as she went. "Ommff" and with a loud thud and multiple grunts, rhea landed on soft mud. Looking up with a sore back, she spotted Jovian and Lucy sitting by the old foot bridge. "Hey guys." she offered with a smile, standing up awkwardly whilst trying to shake off the unwanted litter tangled in her mattered fur. "Great." the saluki muttered, now she's gotta try and clean all that out. Hopefully her tongue would do the trick, without the help of the freezing water.

Koda nodded after king zai's orders, padding around the cabin in search of fleur and sakura. He spotted fleur first, chatting with the queen. The border collie barked across the room "Hey fleur, time for a hunting patrol! Meet at the entrance." Failing to find sakura, koda pounced out of the cabin in search of the older hunter, but his attention was soon grabbed by the Alaster and Elkie playing tag in front of the yard. "Hey guys!" the border collie yelled excitedly, spotting the two trainees playing tag outside the cabin. He was promoted from trainee not long ago and was still close friends with his younger friends. "You guys up for a hunting patrol with king zai?" he asked, wagging his tail before poking Alaster and Elkie with his paw.

Fleur watched her mother with worried eyes, she's carrying a litter of pups after all. "Yes, don't be too hard on yourself today, it's starting to get a little chilly" fleur said softly, "And yes, make sure you get enough rest. Hopefully the hunting patrol can get us all something to chomp on." nuzzling her mother back and a tail wag, the collie begins heading out the cabin before hearing koda. "Coming koda, give me a minute." she barked following the border collie out. Spotting lisette and zai by the entrance, fleur stopped and greeted the two. "Morning lisette, morning dad. I'm ready for the patrol."

Zai dipped his head to the female. "Yes, we'll have all the trainees try to track the Elk first, it'll be good for them to track something they've never seen before." He commented, standing up tall. "However, if we do end up making chase, I would want Mansi and any other Trainee to be the ones cornering the Elk, I don't want them too close. that would be too dangerous." He told her, his tone meaning no nonsense. He didn't want any accidents, especially if one of his own pups are joining. He looked to Fleur, smiling. "Good morning, dear." He said warmly, then returning to his commanding tone. He looked through the cabin, raising his voice slightly. "We're forming an Elk hunting trip, anyone who isn't brought to join the patrol, go out in small groups to hunt boars or smaller prey. Anyone who lingers back in camp, you'll need to help prepare more for the colder season. Bring out the old pelts from last year for now and gather more moss for beddings." He announced to the rest of the pack. Now, it as just time to wait for Koda to bring over a few more dogs for hunting.

Jasper grinned, "Yup! And someone needs to stay behind to guard the camp." He told them, stretching out his back. He looked at the pretty guardian's eyes, his stare lingering a few moments. He then sat down, waiting for the two to wake up a bit before he got them to go on the patrol. He had always thought Valencia was really pretty, but sometimes she was really a big stick in the mud! Yet, that didn't stop him from at least liking to work with her; She was reliable.

Jovian shrugged, maintaining his little slouched and relaxed posture. "Just having some me time, ya know?" He replied, watching the sunlight as it danced across the trickling water. He rose his head quickly when he heard a thump, only looking over to realize it was Rhea. He noticed her pelt all muddy, frowning. "You must be cold! We should really get you back to camp." He coaxed her, standing up and trotting over to her. "This doesn't seem like a good morning for you, hun. He sympathized, frowning a bit more.

"I can with you on your patrol." Sakura answered.
She then saw Zai in the cabin, giving orders out. Sakura heard about the Elk hunting trip.
"Hmpf...Are you going on the Elk hunting trip?We'll need some defence,
in case something happens from an experienced dog.Plus, I've heard that the trainees are coming aswell,
It would be terrible if something happened to the pups."Sakura added.
The wind would get colder as they talked, she would shiver.
Sakura hates the cold, even with the thick coat it doesn't give her much warmth.
With the season being autumn, most of the dogs in the pack already moulted,
but Sakura is still in her 'summer' coat (Sakura moults later in the autumn or early winter).
Although, she tries not to show her weakness to the cold and pack. One winter,
Sakura got really sick, nearly dead, that winter nearly killed off 5 dogs in the pack.

Sephora couldn't go to sleep after her nightmare.
Sephora thought that if she goes on the patrol she'd get her mind off of it.
She'd yawn and leave the cabin, Sephora saw that everybody was getting ready to go somewhere.
The young pup would start to look for its mentor (Lorland).Unable to find him, the cub went to Zai.
"Morning,dad.
Have you seen Lorland around?I want to go training,
but can't find him enywhere."the cub said. She saw her mother,
that was pregnant with another litter of pups.
Sephora was excited for her new brothers and sisters,
but she hated seeing her mother being uncomfortable and not feeling well.She tried to not think about it,
because it reminded her of the nightmare.

Despite having moved up to hunter, Alaster often acted like a trainee, and at times even seemed to try and be one again. He didn't like that being a hunter meant extra work and more effort from him. When Koda called out to him and Elkie, he let out an irritated groan and sit down. "Hunting?" He whined. "but it's too early to be up!" He continued, despite having just been running around like a mad dog less than a minute ago.

"Morning Asher." Rosana barked with a humoured look, glancing up from her herbs in time to see him skid to a stop. She let out a quiet chuckle, shaking her head before returning to counting.

Lucy nods at the other large dogs statement she completely understood the concept of me time. After all, she was alone most the time. Lucy was snapped out of her thoughts by a large thump caused by Rhea falling. She rounds back with a small growl not quite realizing all the commotion was one of her pack mates at the time. Lucy noticed Rhea’s coat covered in mud and responds with a small glare. She didn’t quite understand others playing around before hunting patrols or how someone could have so many challenges walking on their own legs, but she just shakes her head and follows Jovian and Rhea. Lucy huffs at at Jovian sympathizing with the other hunters but again she just didn’t understand being able to play around or for that matter sympathy in general.

The queen shivered, licking her paw with worry. Lately, she had been feeling distressed and increasingly tired, not wanting to voice these things to Zai in fear of him getting worried as well. She padded over to Rosana, giving her a careful smile. "Good morning, all." Arabelle turned to the pack's healer. "Rosana, do you think that I can get a check up at some point today? Since I'm getting farther along with my pups, that is." Her ears twitched anxiously, feeling another cold breeze ruffle her fur.

Elkie whined as well, stomping her paw against the ground. "But we were playing..." She whispered, looking to Alaster with a dejected frown. But either way, they needed to do the patrol. "C'mon, Alaster. We can play after!" She chirped, nudging the other affectionately. Elkie did love doing patrols; she thought that hunting was really fun and she loved chasing prey!

Oliver peeked over at the hunting patrol that was being gathered, shaking his head at the sight of Elkie and Alaster playing. 'They should be doing more important things than playing tag.' The husky trotted back up the steps of the cabin, going back inside. He'd rather be a bit warm than totally cold.

The golden male awoke to morning light with a yawn. Morning already? Well, he didn't mind mornings so what's not to like? Tucker yawned again, before rising to his paws his tail beginning to wag. No need to sit around any longer. He glanced around for his trainee the young dog he was training to become a hunter. His eyes scanned the group, before spotting the young male. He padded over a friendly look on his face as always, before coming to the side of the male. "Good morning, all." he said with a smile, before turning to Asher. "Asher I believe we have some things we need to do. Maybe, we could join a patrol of some kind? Maybe, the pack is planning a hunt that needs hunters." Tucker said with a friendly nod. He always wanted to get things started earlier so there was plenty of time later in the day to just have fun. Of course, Tucker tried to make everything fun for his trainee, so that way he didn't get bored and kept his spirits high.

The fluffy male awoke to yet another day, which only meant it was time to start his regular duties. He leaped to his paws, before glancing around the cabin. He didn't see his trainee Sephora so he assumed she was still asleep. Well, that didn't mean he couldn't go ahead and start the day. His ears twitched slightly, before padding off his tail swaying behind him and his trademark smile present on his muzzle. His gaze scanned the group of dogs in the cabin, before turning away heading toward the entrance to the cabin.

The young male yawned, before slowly awakening to a new day. Of course, he often wondered how any day was different from another exactly. Maybe, a few new noises but that was all. The world always had looked quite dark for Mansi, and it was still that way today. He sighed, before rising to his paws his ears twitching as they caught the sounds around him. So, many voices and yet he was able to distinguish them all. As a matter of fact he heard the voice of his mentor, Lisette not far away. Slowly and carefully the young male padded toward the dogs mostly by scent. Once the scent was strongest he stopped, brushing against his mentor to let himself know he was where he should be. He had overheard the two dogs words, and was now waiting expectantly making sure not to interrupt the conversation.
