Lifting his head in the direction of the strong midday sun, Galileo fine-tuned his ears to any noise around him. He heard fillies and colts in the distance. Of course the watering hole would be heavily populated, the prime location to find fillies. Unfortunately, from the noises, he was a bit late to the gathering and most fillies were already being approached. The bay roan male didn't feel like starting a fight, but he continued steadily towards the sounds his alert ears picked up. The Friesian and Belgian Draft mix was quite heavy-set due to his draft breeding and his primarily Friesian genes didn't make him any smaller. However, the Friesian in him caused him to be of a longer body than a typical stocky Belgian Draft would be. The classic disadvantage of being a draft or a draft cross was the lack of ability to move quickly. Galileo had this disability but very mildly. He was now in the grasslands area, moving down from a more mountainous region of the horses' lands. Galileo spotted a few outlines. A colt and two fillies. One of the fillies was heading quickly away and Galileo couldn't help but see an opportunity to approach a filly. However, as he came closer, he noticed that the tobiano filly seemed agitated. Galileo would be careful and not make a fool of himself (hopefully). He grazed, showing that he wouldn't run quickly up to her and attempt to snatch her with unflattering words. Not that he was the kind of colt that just 'snatched' mares. A quiet, barely audible nicker escaped his lips. He met the filly's eyes but then leaned down and continued to graze.Colt | 2.5 years |

Why must these colts all be so young and immature? She thought, annoyed. All the stallions were rounded up and now she was left with young and cocky colts. Snitch was frustrated, a usual state of mind for the young mare. The thirst that had been building in her throat was now unbearable, so she set out for the watering hole. As she came closer, she became quickly aware of just how many young horses were at the watering hole. From a distance, there were plenty of noises but she hadn't thought much of them. The bay filly made her way through gatherings, her tail flicking to show everyone that she wasn't interested in conversation. Most colts were falling over themselves chatting with other mares anyways. A few, she noticed, had many mares crowded around them. Suddenly, two appeared to be fighting. This made her snicker but she continued walking. Finally Snitch found a clear spot to drink. Nearby was a stallion chatting with a tense-looking mare. Snitch made a slight noise but continued to drink, tempting the stallion to come over or say hi. She wasn't sure she wanted to be claimed yet but she sure would love to have a little fun.Filly | 1.7 years | Too young

Moving towards the less populated end of the watering hole, the Appaloosa filly found a place at the water's edge. She lowered her leopard-spotted neck and lapped greedily. The other foals' excited energy made her nervous. There were some as young as six months, and the oldest she'd seen so far was a three year old, but there were possibly older ones out there. While this was a possibility, she had a feeling that over three year olds had all passed away or been rounded up. Estrella was alerted by the noises of what she assumed to be clashing colts. As she had guessed, a Friesian was rivaled by another colt and the Friesian won. He appeared to be on of the older ones out there, about three. Being older, he was probably more experienced. Though they were all very new to this game of wild horse life. Stallions' fights seemed useless to Estrella but maybe that would change when she was older. All these thoughts of were to eat next, a good place at the watering hole, which stallion to accept and which to reject, was so new and scary to her. Thoughts swirled around her head. While she thought she should probably approach a colt, Estrella felt too anxious to do so, so instead she moved a little away from the crowds, cocked a hoof, and tried to take a nap in the mild sun.Filly | 2 years | Heat Stage - 1 | Appaloosa

Mabel was lost. Utterly lost. Everywhere she looked, things were so close to places she knew, but not quite so right. Everything was just a little off. After her mother had died, and her next caretaker had been rounded up, she had been so frightened she wouldn't leave her home grasslands for weeks. But after staying still for so long, when she finally did move, it was far and quickly. Not an ounce of logic crossed her mind when Mabel had decided to run fast and free in no particular direction. The Arabian filly was now in foreign territory, though it couldn't possibly be far from her home. When Mabel thought about it, she didn't really want to go back home. It would make her too sad and make her miss her mothehr horribly. Not to mention, she had no clue what direction home was in the first place! As she wandered and thought, Mabel became hungry. Allowing herself to graze for a few moments in the valley, she herd noises. They sounded like faint hoof steps. Another horse! Overjoyed, Mabel took bounding strides towards the noise and she came upon a grazing Thoroughbred filly. "Hello!" She squealed. "Hello, hello, hello! I am Mabel!" She was soon by the side of the filly and looked up expectantly into the filly's eyes.Filly | 7 months |Too young
