- the fae was up long before the sun, as was common for her; she did not sleep more than she had to, finding herself the most vulnerable at night when she wasnt alert. she would not be attacked & killed while she could not defend herself; so she only slept a few hours a night to assure she was safest. her orange-brown eyes wandered over the sleeping forms of her packmates, as she sat there, stoic and still as a statue, barely moving, barely breathing. she was a leader & it was her job to protect them, especially now that the new los puros pack had shown up and was threatening the very existence they had always known. the abandoned junkyard that her pack called home was filled with old cars and furniture, too broken or torn apart for the humans to want. she personally slept inside a plush SUV with a missing front door, & when she called the pack for a meeting or announcement, she simply climbed to the top of the large vehicle to stand over them all. speaking of, the sun had begun to rise and she saw very few members of the pack stirring; time to wake up. leaping onto the roof of the SUV, she let out a loud bark, a sound that came from deep in her throat and had a growling sound to it; patience was not her strongsuit, this was known. "if you are not yet awake, GET UP and circle around me. the sun is up so we are up; our enemies move fast and we must be prepared to take them down. COME; i have morning announcements." as she spoke, her eyes wandered the pack, looking for her captains, who she typically allowed up onto the hood of her vehicle, slightly below her still but above the rest, as she spoke.

βΎ. ββ β her heart was a secret garden; the walls were very high. β
- that night, the female had been plagued with memory-like dreams that had turned quickly into nightmares, keeping her thrashing & turning for hours in the corner of the abandoned house that her gang called home. the dreaming started out relatively well, with her curled up in the ratted blanket that she called a bed, her sleep deep, breaths slow and calm. it started with a beautiful memory of a tan and white male collie, rubbing his head against her own as they shared tender licks and loving words. he was her first love, the one who showed her not every dog was cruel, that there was a certain amount of compassion in this world. he gave her hope for a future she had never before imagined possible... but that memory faded into a bitter argument sharing that she had joined a gang, with him snapping that he'd start his own since her new 'family' would never accept him. they had managed to make up for awhile, meeting secretly, but that memory faded into her sitting alone in the rain, waiting for the male to arrive at their meeting, only for him to never show, over and over. the pang in her heart made her whimper; had he forgotten her or just moved on? isadora was panting as she tried to keep from crying out as she awoke from her sleep, immediately standing to her paws. her gray eyes scanned the house, spotting several of her packmates but not her leader. knowing where she'd likely be, the collie mix moved quickly but silently to leave the house, heading for the peacefulness of the early morning beach. thats when she spotted the pitbull mix that was her leader eating something, with a member sitting next to her. she lowered her head submissively to show she was not there to take the food, her eyes barely flickering over cruise's form, and sat quietly next to her. "goodmorning azul. should we call out some patrols soon, to remark the territory lines? the other gangs are getting more confident about pushing into our land."

- he was truly alone, and my god there was nothing that he hated more right now than that. true, he had never exactly been the friendliest brute who had a lot of companions during his lifetime, but that didnt mean he enjoyed being alone. he felt so useless now, having absolutely nothing to do but sit around, steal something to eat, drink something, try not to get in a fight, sleep, and then repeat the next day. it was annoying at best and a nightmare at worst; he wanted to be doing something more with his life than just wasting away, living day by day in such a boring way. shaking his massive head as he stood up, he exited the cardboard box that he had recently been calling home and sleeping in, shaking the tired from his eyes. it was a new day, and his stomach already ached to be fed; perhaps today would be different somehow.
