Everyone knew- they always did, that they were running the earth dry. Destroying not only their home- but the home of all the plants and animals that share it. But the earth revolted, ridding itself of the worst parasite, it’s only enemy: humans. The result of global warming and toxic waste, of trashing the earth and running t to the ground- the humans began to die. A new plague spread through their numbers, wiping out five billion in a matter of weeks. The remaining humans scattered, as severe weather took hold. There would be blizzards one week and heat waves the next. Earthquakes and hurricanes ravaged the land.
The humans continued to die out, but other life found a way to survive. Horses escaped from pastures and stables, and began to gather, forming herds and attempting to survive through the extremities of the weather. Will they make it, will they be able to survive as the earth repairs itself- will it ever be able to repair itself?

one follow all of the cs rules. this is a given, but I felt it should be stated. this means making sure you fade to black during covering/birthing, or any other necessary moments, like gruesome injuries

two mares may come into the roleplay with foals, stallions can not come into the roleplay already having mares. additionally, please don’t just give all your mares to your stallion, that makes it less fun for everyone else. please come in with at least 1 mare character for every 1 stallion character you have.

three if you will be unable to post for more than two weeks, please let me know! otherwise you may be removed from the roleplay! additionally, please plan on writing posts of at least 3-5 sentences, as it gives others something to respond to. please remove signatures on the main thread, to keep everything neat! They’re fine on the discussion thread though!

four this is a long rule, but please read through all of it. these rules are some of the most important. Please do not power play. Even if you want your stallion or mare to be powerful, it’s not fair to other players. All fights will be rolled for by me, and only me, and the ratio (ex50:50,60:40) will be determined by strengths and weaknesses your stallion or mare has. You may NOT determine that your kick/bite/etc has hit the other horse, you may only aim it, so the other player has a chance to dodge. You may dodge as well, and not every hit will be a miss or a hit. Please be fair with this rule. Additionally, just like fights, you’re not always going to be successful when you snake another stallion’s mare. You must also wait untill the roleplayer of Botha he stallion and mare have had a chance to respond, before snaking the mare away.

five each season is different lengths. spring and summer are both fifteen pages long, autumn is ten pages long, and winter is five pages long. you may have two lead mares, and only two, so that others have a chance. please recognize that as characters get older, they begin to get weaker. the horses may live from 25-30, but mares start to lose fertility around 15-16, and a stallion’s prime is around 13, when he’s less likely to lose a fight. Please don’t make all of your stallion’s older.

extreme thunderstorm, including extremely harsh winds, and causing tree limbs and even trees to fall, will start on page ten and end on page fifteen

a drought will last all of summer, untill page thirty. horses will have to gather around the only water source in the area- a large lake that hasn’t dried up. this means herds will be within close range of each other, competing not only for water, but to keep their mares.
