xxxxMakoto seemed to stir from his brief slumber when the alpha began to speak. His eyes fluttered open, and his gaze went to the large male before him. He listened as he explained their situation. With the threat of predators in the area, warriors would be assigned to hunting parties to ensure safety; that seemed reasonable enough. Once the male finished explaining, he turned his attention to Rhae who had assigned him to a group. Just him and Kairi? Kairi was.. mean, but he was not one to go against someone's orders or question them. In fact, he did not really seem to care that he was paired with the aggressive fae. He took everything in stride and nothing seemed to really bother him. Perhaps Rhae knew this and that was why he was paired for Kairi. He would not be bothered by her aggressiveness.
xxxxRising to his paws, he spotted the bear dog some distance from the group as usual. Sluggishly, he padded over to the female and dipped his head. "I'm ready when you are, Kairi." He responded, a yawn following his words. Since it was morning, he was more on the tired side, but as soon as he caught the scent of prey, he would surely wake up some more. He was definitely ready for a hunt.

xxxxPredators were not a good sign, but Ansa believed that she could take on anything. She was bred for the purpose of bringing down bears, and she had done so in her time with her previous owner. They had been attacked by the bear, and while she had managed to distract the bear from her owner, the damage had been done. He had been unable to move, and he was left to freeze in the snow. She had tried to keep him warm, but it was pointless. They had been in the deep wilderness and no one was to be seen for miles. All she could do was lay there and.. wait until he died. When he did, she left him to be buried by the falling snow. Weeks after that, she came across Jagger's group and joined it. While she was not completely over her owner's death, she had to move on and remain strong.
xxxxAs she was assigned to Demetri and Lilian, she rose from her haunches to look at the two other canines. "Let's get to it then." She told her group before turning in the direction of the north border. Without glancing over her shoulder, she went in the assigned direction to search for any prey. Hopefully, she would come across something big enough for the pack, and if they were to run into any predators, she would protect the other two with her life. She felt like she barely knew Demetri and Lilian, but she was not going to allow another death on her paws. Besides, she would take any opportunity to show off her fighting skills. She was a warrior for a good reason.

"It's Nikki," he replied before reaching forward and taking a small chunk of the bird, as his jaws could barley rip it apart and hold it. Nikki dropped it onto the snow then slowly started chewing. Glancing up at Elijah every few seconds. The meat was better then anything he had eaten for a while, it was truly a delight for the young pup. He stopped eating when he jaw began to hurt, and he sat back. He looked up at the older dog. "Thank you," he said, dipping his small head in gratitude. Nikki rose his snout back up, and took in a small whiff of the cold air. Shaking the snow out of his fur, as it was not thick enough to completely keep him warm. Nikki dug his paws into the snow and sighed softly.

xxkairi’s ears perked forward as she watched the britanny spaniel intently. she made a mental note on the names of the dogs she was to accompany, according to rhea. the karelian bear dog surveyed the cluster of dogs, pin-pointing makoto. kairi stayed planted in her seat; pointing her snout towards the south. there did not seem to be any prey near, so the group would have to travel further down south, in hopes of finding any creature in this barren land. the dame’s head snapped back towards the group of canines as she heard the crunching of snow becoming louder. her orbits narrowed on the akita husky mutt. from recollection of her memories she assumed this makoto. “you sure about that? you look about ready to collapse.” kairi retorted blunty, picking on the brute’s slow, tired movements, but most obviously the yawn that escaped his jowls. “once captain shows, if he even does, then we will get a move on,” the fae sighed, a hint of annoyance lacing her words.
