The strangest thing humans have ever done.

Humans made very strange looking boats and unsuccessfully taught animals how to ride them.
The animals have found an elemental spirit in their hearts, relating to their boat.

Rules:
You can be any animal, bird, reptile, insect or fish that lives in the real world (dinosaurs excluded)
You can have as many characters as you want.
Each animal must have a weird boat that it will ride across the waters on with some humans
Humans are npc’s (non player characters) and will be played by me (a.k.a. waxwing33)
No magical powers, only species-related skills and spiritual abilities (ex. Believing to be able to talk to an element like fire, water, wind, light, darkness, storms, etc.)
No unnaturally colored body or eyes, and neither eye should have a weird power.
Live on earth, not on mars or anything!
Each boat has a specific chance of staying on top of water (ex. A boat completely made of rocks must DEFINETELY sink.
No power playing or god modding
Don’t kill anyone’s character without their permission.
If your boat sinks then you might die (unless you are a flying animal that flies up when the boat sinks or a fish that can swim.)
No mating scenes, please!
If you are inactive for 2 weeks I will PM you, and if you don’t reply within 3 days I will remove you from the RP.

Fireplume stayed in her boat, looking out into the water while perched on the side. The brown-colored bird spread her wings looking into the oceans and beating them fiercely. She opened up her tail, and flew off into the boat. The waxwing sat near the fire peacefully to warm her feathers.

The light was flickering today.

The boat was on the water, sailing far off against a dark blue sky and a scattering of stars. Thero stayed perched near the front of the boat, wings folded at his side. The flickering of the center light plunged the world into darkness every so often, giving him a few moments to be alone. It was only himself and the darkness. The next time the light faded out he closed his eyes, partway spreading his wings and listening to whatever the night had to say to him. It was silent. There was no danger on the horizon.

It looked like daylight over on Fawkes' boat. The lanterns were all lit, serving as a beacon to guide the ship through the waters so it didn't crash into obstacles or other boats. At the moment he was standing almost on top of one of the lanterns, balancing himself on a small piece of metal just above the flames. Every so often he lowered his tail into the lantern, stopping just near the fire so he didn't get burned. After doing this a few times his tail was definitely warm, so he jumped off the metal onto a platform beside the lantern so he could warm the rest of himself. Looking up after a while he saw the shadow of another boat passing nearby, and shifted his position so he could see better.

Typhis had been hoping the humans on her small boat would add another animal. She had been hoping this for a pretty long time, wanting nothing but to see someone else she could talk to. Unluckily for her, however, the only thing out there was water, an endless expanse of it that she hoped would someday end. It was beginning to get a little brighter out, and she did her usual morning dash around the boat to see if there was any glimpse of another. Today was the same as every day: nothing. With a sigh she turned her attention to the water, looking down at the glass boat bottom. Concentrating and looking deeply into it she waited, hoping the water would tell her its secrets this day or an ancient prophecy. Water holds many secrets. It was also pretty interesting.
