The world is missing. At least the one we knew is. Dogs used to live with people in cozy homes and sleep on soft beds.
Sure, some dogs were feral already, but most of us had a comfortable life. And then it happened; the humans just
vanished. We woke up one morning and they were gone. It was eerily silent after that. Most dogs got it quickly and
came to their senses; the humans weren't coming back. They left their houses and collars behind and formed packs
or joined them. But some of the dogs decided to stay in the town, by their houses. They scavenged for food in the
abandoned buildings. Everything was as they had left it. Nothing was taken, dinners still sat on tables, ready to be
eaten. But there were no people there to eat them. Nobody to comfort the leashed dogs when the clouds growled
overhead and anger flashed from the skies. Nobody to help them out when a thorn got stuck in a paw or when a
collar became to tight and twisted. There were many dogs considered it a blessing to be free, but most of us didn't
know what to do without people with us. We couldn't change like the other dogs had, ould we. The world had turned,
flipped upside down. It was so different now, it had changed. But would we follow in it's footsteps?

At first there were many packs, but as former leashed dogs were killed either by dogs or inexperience,
less dogs roamed the land. Soon, they decided to split up into two packs. There is the Sandy Paw Pack
and they live by the coast. Their camps are on the beaches where the tall grasses grow. The other pack
is the Pale Grove Pack. They live in the Pale Grove like their name suggests. The pale grove is a ring of
trees surrounding a field of silvery wheat, hence the 'pale' in the name. The other groups of dogs aren't
a pack. Many of them don't even know each other. But they are grouped by what they are; rogues and
former leashed dogs (still referred to as just leashed dogs). Most of the rogues were strays before the
people went missing, but a few are former leashed dogs that wanted to be free of their past. The dogs
who stayed at their homes and scavenge in the abandoned town are still known as Leashed dogs. They
are the only ones who stayed in the city once the humans left. And almost every pack and rogue agrees
that they are ignorant and disposable from it. But the Leashed dogs are oblivious to life outside the city.
