Hawthorn~Male~Wolf~Hunter~Failing at his only priority

Hawthorn sniffed the air. He could smell rabbit, the crisp autumn air buffeting his fur. He thought of just laying under a tree and enjoying the breeze, but decided to keep hunting. He looked around, hearing the soft crunch of grass beneath a rabbit's soft paws. He crouched, crawling slowly towards the spot where the rabbit was silently eating the yellow flowering weeds. He prepared to run after it, but before he could comr closer the rabbit perked it's ears, looked at him, and ran off to it's burrow. He gave chase, nearly getting himself stuck in a thorny bush as it dove into it's hole. "Stupid rabbit!" He snarled, snapping at thin air.

Leaflet~Female~Wolf~Scout~Sunning herself

Leaflet smiled, lifting her face to the warm sun, in a small dip surrounded by bushes to minimize the breezes. She cleared all her thoughts, focusing only on her own relaxation. She forgot about duties and hunting, or the prejudice against the dogs. She sighed, content.

Pearl~Female~Australian Shepard~Omega/Dog~Playing with Jax

Pearl practiced hunting, creeping up behind Jax and pouncing on his back. She bit his ear, oddly content as he yelped in surprise. She raced off as he shook her off.

Jax~Male~Husky~Dog/Omega~Being attacked by Pearl

He yelped as a weight only slightly smaller than his own. He realized it was Pearl and shook her off. She ran, and he sat down, shaking his fur and growling.

Moon [Female] [Hunter] [Wolf] [3 Years]

Moon rolled onto her side, awaking from her slumber in the hunters den. Though she really wanted to stay and continue sleeping, she knew she had to get up and start the day. Rising to her paws, Moon padded towards the den entrance.

━━( οΌ’οΌ¬οΌ΄οΌΉοΌ¨οΌ₯ )━━━━
    β™₯ β€” ( female ) - ( three ) - ( dog ) - ( no tags )

xxxnature was something that seemed relatable to everyone; there was absolutely no way you could live a proper life
that was in any way enjoyable without it. it spawned and reclaimed so many things, so many areas, and that prompted
the idea that nature was necessary for survival. it was what made everything, whether that was species or roots or just
cracks and holes. the ability to roam free and explore to one's heart's content was a feature that only lucky beings really
got to pursue. it was a place that was filled with places, crossed and uncrossed, marked and unmarked, journeyed and
alone, that needed to be found. the outside, the wilderness; it was all just one big place. one big place of all the lonely
places that ruled above, called the loneliest and claimed them as her own.

though she had been wary to it at first, a certain willingness to escape danced atop the mind of some burnt-out eyes.
a broken paw couldn't stop a stubbornness, and that she possessed. blythe hadn't necessarily made a plan to run away
as much as she made a plan to move homes. she hadn't ever considered the farmhouse somewhere where she would s
ettle, or a place that she'd like to be rather than anywhere else. in fact, she quite disliked it. the smell of manure wa
s never something she would get used to, that being because of her past as a show dog and overall outward demeanor,
or simply because it was a new thing. she did know for sure that she hated the "tricks" her new owners tried to teach
her, though. she would've much rather just hunted the small clan of sheep rather than chasing them around.

    so she found a day where the farmers were preoccupied with themselves and gave her the full freedom of the yard;
regrettable for them, if they had really had interest in keeping her. a hole was dug beneath the fence that marked
the perimeter of the area, and promptly used to allow blythe full access to the open world. there was a longing that
cried out as she proceeded to run across the vast field into the domain that was the forest. looking back for a quick,
longing moment, she questioned herself before leaving her hesitation to delve farther into the woods and pursue a
life where she could leave the injury of her paw and her semi-egotistical past.

    ━━━

a raw inhalation told the fae that fall was coming into full swing; and soft voices throughout the camp could whisper
to her that others were also waking up. first, standing, then outstretching her frontal body, a minute pain could echo
throughout her back. the pains of working, she supposed. a cold, heavy exhaustion spread across her shoulders as her
verdant gaze crossed throughout the clanmates surrounding her. she'd take precautions to not awaken any unwary b
eing that could become irritated at her behavior, calmly stepping over each of them and moving towards a lone corner
of the camp where she could catch a bit up on her rest while others may have been just greeting the morning.

Altairs movements fizzled into a motionless state, eyes grazed on the camp he transformed in his leadership. Spite the gain in power that had seized the wolves in his reign, disappointment loomed over. Because of the dogs ? His feelings remained uncertain. And yet hatred colours his the soul. It spreads throughout his entire system, shutting down all other feelings, and becoming central to the life and the intent of his personality. All that was left of him these few days seemed to be remains of a happier content wolf. Pause. His ears prickled, announcing the presence of one of his scouts. Fylgija. Pulling legs ever closer to his chest, the male's eyes rested upon her's. It was clearly appreciated that a wolf was as keen as he wated to run the pack efficiently. He made a sharp exhaul, mind getting rid of all past thoughts. " I will sleep when I know I have served my pack well. " he huffed, rather sarcastically. But the appreciation was there. Ears twitching, he continued. " I am glad you asked.." With a sense of urgence he stod muscles tensing slightly, " As you know winter is coming and i can't afford my pack to go hungry, rally a few dogs and send them off to hunt for me. If they don't start pulling their weight around here they won't be staying. " He glanced around noticing silhouettes arise; the day can now begin.

Paws tainted the ground with light marks as she scuttled across the packs camp, eys scrutinized in a sudden fear. Idiotic of her to feel this
was yet unstoppable. The Australian shepherd's mind was that of a maze confused on who to trust. Long pelt rubbing her sides, the female
s troubles were far from over. There were times she felt like the world was slowly disappearing in front of her. Or maybe it was just
Venus who was fading away. Those moments it didn't matter anyway. Because her empty burning lungs and her heart hitting her chest
so hard she thought it will break, her ribs and rip apart her skin was the only thing she could think about. Anxiety. In this hurry she found
her self unaware of her directions, bumping quite ungainly into a wolf. It took her a moment to comprehend, retracing steps back her
movements felt locked, somewhat jarred. " Sorry, oh god. " Shaking her pelt, regaining attention, she
was in the presence of jΓΆrmungandr. His alabaster flecked face, was enough to set off the anxious reck within her. " that was
        stupid, this won't happen again."

    ─────────── [ οΌ¦οΌΉοΌ¬οΌ§οΌ©οΌͺοΌ‘ ] ───────────
➴ age four years rank scout tagged altair, open words 295

fylgija stood quiet, listening with her ears prickled at what her alpha just said. somehow, her fur bristled when she heard the request the male had given her. but not in anger or sadness, more like, in surprise. she expected in return from the other wolf a more of a stern response, simple and just so their conversation wouldn't stop awkwardly. a small flare of happiness started to burn in her heart, you know like when you feel satisfied and accomplished. the scout let a long sigh escape her maws, her hot breath making a small cloud when it touched the icy air.
realizing that she hasn't responded, fylgija turned her head at altair. "i will make sure to get some wolves gathered for a hunt. do you want dogs as well to be included in the hunt party ? i know that there is a lot of drama regarding the other specie, but they might increase the prey potential. after all, we need as many forces as possible."
then, lowering her voice, the scout closed a bit. her gaze scattered upon the other wolves and dogs that seemed to appear. "i don't feel like sending all the wolves to hunt, remaining only with dogs around. tensions would be lowered so and we must understand the risk as well." fylgija huffed. " i do not wish to bash the dogs, but some might be more aggressive than the others."
the scout turned her, one of her ears twitching as she waited for a response from the alpha. he didn't seem to think of the possibility of her to crush on him. which was fine, but that didn't stop fylgija from getting lost when she was giving him short glances, loosing her mind for moments and day dreaming.

━━( οΌ’οΌ¬οΌ΄οΌΉοΌ¨οΌ₯ )━━━━
    β™₯ β€” ( female ) - ( three ) - ( dog ) - ( jΓΆrmungandr /venus )

xxxFlicking an ear, blythe allowed her pale golden-green gaze to scan the area that she would refer to as her home -- of
course, it wasn't entirely ideal that she had to hunt so early in the morning on occasion, but she did suppose that it was
assuring to have a few packmates to rely on. She was entirely aware of the discomfort a few of the long-time congruence
persisted for the newer canines. It didn't disturb her, no, but rather was a mild idea in the back of her mind. For example,
she didn't like tension in the air; if one of the body was to challenge she'd avoid them quietly, though she would do her
best to also not become offended. A conflict with a more respected member could potentially risk a perturbation of her
ranking, and she was, admittedly, not a good enough hunter to survive more than a few weeks alone.

Her survey of the camp would end briefly to focus on the alpha and Fylgija. She'd sparsely spoken to the male her self, and
the times she had that she could recall had been fleeting moments to ask him about hunts and the like. Personally, she had
no problem with either of the wolves; they were both respectable. Obviously, in their own ways. She was lucky she'd even
been allowed to join the clan. Allowing her muzzle to widen into a quick yawn, she'd place her good paw in front of herself
to assist her in easily standing. She would take the opportunity to hunt, if given the chance, thought more so that she could
'really' wake up rather than to add to her importance as a figure in the pack.

An ear perked as she sensed a being's gaze on herself; she made no quick movement to search, just slightly turned to scan
the immediate area. More of the society was waking up, making the idea a bit more of an inconvenience for her. However,
she was quick to correct it to one certain spot. Perhaps it was the two canines that appeared to be quietly speaking -- she
recognized the male as the medic, and the female as Venus. Both were a bit unfamiliar to herself, but she would approach
calmly, waiting for a moment as to not interrupt their conversation if it was important.

xxa gentle grunt escaped from the male's maw as he felt a presence assert itself. his frame pressing itself from the tree instinctually as he prepared for the worst. whipping his massive cranium after himself, he allowed his orbs to fixate upon the canine. a young damsel that appeared to be extremely perturbed. she appeared to be a collie, but nothing like the one he was observing. he pattern was beautiful, the way that it flecked into a merle with a splash of brown. she was of course much younger than him, the way that she carried herself proving so. flicking an ear forward, he allowed her to speak before reassuringly smiling. "don't fret, it was an accident." he calmly stated, his tail flicking to dismiss the anxious aura radiating off of her. "there's no need to be sorry." he concluded, his orbs flickering to the now approaching collie, the one he was just analyzing not too far back. with a dip of his head, he welcomed her to the conversation. "good morning." jΓΆr coolly stated. he couldn't help but to realize how divergent each canine was, excluding the personality. wolves of course came in all sorts of sizes but with such a limited variety.. on the other hand, dogs were much further advanced than their ancestors. jΓΆrmungandr couldn't help but to faintly chuckle at the thought of humans tampering with their genetics in order to produce all these unique breeds. how they allowed these animals to be birthed with such limited sizes and some with little to no fur. it bewildered him. it was the exact reason why he remained glued to the forest. some wolves enjoyed lopping into the town for a moonlight escapade, befriending dogs and what not. sure, the wolf had no harsh feelings towards the domesticated pups. but, the thought of being manipulated by the man made the male sick. giving his pelt a quick shake, his caramel orbs once again fell upon the collie duo.

with ennui painted upon his visage, the male loosened his gaze. paws tensed with a feeling of disappointment. as though the expectations hung over his head alone. it was unexpected that fylgija had the little decency to listen. and as a wolf, he expected a little more. " as stated previously, I want you and the dogs alone to go hunting. " Al's voice continued in a drone, stepping back his silhouette embraced the dappled sun rays. Created by the trees; veiled in the lightest of mists, their trunks sombre brown with sable cracks that gnarl the bark. " I expected more from one of my wolves. " His head already facing away, as he faded off beginning to turn to other wolves. leaving the scout. trapped in his confusing frustration.

Too harsh ?, as he dwelled on the conversation. he remained in the persecution of his own anger. feelings only unravelled in that of frustration. yet, he stayed the same. as unchanging as the forest in which he stood. With a moment to unease, his thoughts the appearance of Leaflet brought him surprise. " Ahh, it appears you have little to do? Yes. Would you come with me " pause. " hunting is easier with two ." etching eyes loomed over the last of the morning, bringing on the midays chores.
