The darkness of the night was leaving replaced by the golden light of the rising sun. The sky began to brighten
as the darkness retreated until sunset. The golden warmth of dawn was finally here. And that meant the time for rest was
over. The animals began to rise while some began to get ready for rest. However, it was not the coyotes that we're getting
ready for rest. It was the coyotes that we're wakening. Laurel yawned wide her tongue lolling out of her mouth. Her sharp
teeth showing. It was time to start on the morning duties. She blinked gazing at the horizon. The golden disk of the sun
rising on the horizon was a beautiful sight. She loved watching it as it rose and set. However, now was not the time to do it. She
had a job to do. Being a scout she should be checking the territory. But she wasn't the only scout. Would she need to
wait until Keavy woke up? She didn't feel like waiting. Her ears twitched as she laid her head on her paws. Once again she
began, to watch the golden disk of the sun rising in the distance.

The darkness was beginning to be driven away by the golden light of the wakening dawn. The golden disk rose on the
horizon and as it did this the darkness retreated into hiding. Most creatures we're waking up at this time. But there was one
creature already awake. Nyle a lone coyote was loping along. He didn't wait until dawn to begin hunting. He couldn't wait on
anyone because he lived alone. And because he lived alone he had to do things by himself. He couldn't rely on someone else
to do it for him. He couldn't rely on someone else to protect him. The only thing he could rely on was himself. And that he did.
As he loped along his ears, twitched listening to the sounds of the awakening animals. His tongue lolled out of his mouth as he
padded through the open field. Living alone did have its advantages. But like most things it also had its disadvantages. Living
alone meant you didn't have to rely on others who might very well turn on you in harsh times. It also meant you only had to
care for one coyote. Yourself. However, if a threat suddenly appeared a lone coyote would not be able to defend himself against
a large threat. He would have to run away. However, he had not run across any danger like that. And he hoped to stay that way.
He continued on with his loping stride his tongue lolling as he searched for prey.
