canines. deep within yellowstone they live with little threat from human society though there are still
poachers to watch out for. they live in family units and are known to be the scavengers though they ca
n also hunt. the life they live is rather unpredictable, especially with larger predatory animals that wil
l not hesitate to kill them if they threatened their young or their prey. they do make packs that may b
e non-family but it isn't unheard of for those within to leave on occasion. survival is the key and the w
eak don't make it very far in such a harsh world like that of the coyote, considered a nuisance by most

the territory is that of yellowstone, plenty of rivers and streams, open grassland, wooded areas etc.
prey for the coyotes usually consists of bison, deer, sheep, rabbits, rodents, birds, amphibians (except
toads), lizards, snakes, fish, shrew, moles, and even brown rats. they also eat different types of birds
uncommon prey can also be that of bear cubs. in a group, coyotes are able to take down large prey su
ch as elk, pronghorns, and wild sheep. they also scavenge as they are opportunists. they will also eat
berries should they be found in the environment.

predators and competition of the coyote are usually bears, wolves, and eagles. these predators are u
sually larger though the eagles only tend to pose a threat to young pups. it is not known for a coyote
to attack any larger predators and they usually tend to run and not risk injury.

the brightening colors of the sky indicated that dawn was approaching. the weather, for the time being, was rather cool and with spring in full force, young prey would be out soon enough. the male was not in his den, he preferred to sleep outside on the ground rather than that of the confines of a small space underground. as long as the weather permitted, he slept under the sky, enjoying the weather as best he could in most cases. a yawned escaped the canine, revealing his yellowing fangs. he stretched out on the cool ground, enjoying the feeling of it against his fur and skin. roman glanced around, his amber gaze searching the area for any movement and spotted none. it wasn't long before he pushed himself up to his paws, his mind mulling over what should be done for the day. with the pack generally small, not much was needed nor were they hurting for much of anything during this time of the year.

Kayla is eating a fish from the previous hunting party, savoring the delicious taste. She scans the clearing, seeing whose up and about this morning in the pack.

After fighting off another predator that attempted to steal his own kill, with a growl Solo goes about munching into his rabbit - it wasn't much to be honest, but it would suffice for the time being. Truth be told, if he were to survive he'd need to form a pack. But to do that, he needed to find himself at least one mate - that would be tricky, given the recent reintroduction of a species that had once roamed then disappeared.

Solo tried to eat as quickly as he could, yet not too fast as to choke himself. He sighed, tearing another piece of meat that he gulped down. He was a pack animal, yet he lost his pack and thus he's the only remaining survivor of it. The pack-urge was getting to him, as being alone was not for him...

The sun rised as a canopy of gold, bright amid the blue, bidding the stars to take their nightly rest. As darkness surrendered, every colour changed from tinges of charcoal to a vibrancy. There are days he wondered what they give in return for such gifts of divine magic; perhaps it is their love, though he didn't have that, or perhaps they radiate it into space; perhaps that is their connection to creation beyond the borders of our world, their reality. Perched on an isolated mound, kay's silhouette was painted on the ground behind him, it was odd to feel the creeping patterns of spring crawling upon them. blooms sprung in delicate patches, and the essence of life pierced through the winter.
But duty called. Rising the male began a descent, paws brushing lightly among the dull shrubbery; approaching who seemed to be roman. a male full of dominance. "Roman" he huffed, ears brimming with caution. Although talking wasn't a natural trait, he managed to bring some formalities. " I presume there are jobs that are needing fufilled ? I'm not one for lazying around. " Kayden, gently rested his hocks, tail flicking instinctively.
