Mowgli trotted among beside Willow in the direction the rabbit had gone. His nose nearly touching the snow. It wasn’t long before his nose picked up the faint trail of the lost prey. He stopped and looked at Willow “The rabbit’s trail. It’s faint, but I’m sure it didn’t go far. Probably thought it was safe,” he said in a quieter tone, in case it was around, he didn’t want to startle it. Four paws made soft crunching sounds as the year old husky trotted along the snow. Having not eaten for a day or so, every now and again an unhappy tummy rumble would join the noise his feet made. I need food if I'm going to last much longer out here alone, the male thought to himself as he paused to shake excess snow out of his thick red fur.

A barking noise sounded from somewhere nearby and Loki swiveled his ears cautiously towards it. Not long after, a fleeing rabbit caught his eyes followed by a labrador that looked not much older than himself. This pup looked to be in a losing fight in catching its prey, which usually would have made for a great source of entertainment if he hadn't been so hungry. The hungry husky turned on his heels and joined the chase for the rabbit- one of them was bound to catch it, it would be a matter of time to see which one.

Indy listened to him, her ear flicking slightly in annoyance as he said he had never seen her or the house around before, she listened to him speak more then sigh slightly "my name is Indy, this is my friend, Sitka." She said calmly, letting herself relax slightly as she spoke "what's your name?" She asked and took a slight step back to stand beside Sitka, staring at the stranger in front of her. She still didn't know if she could trust this dog or not and kept her guard up just in case she couldn't trust him.

her stomach rumble,"I hope i find food soon,im not sure

A gas station was just down the hill by the road and as soon as she saw
it she ran down the hill.

"I'm Apollo. I live in an empty shack across the snowy valley," he replied. He felt like he was an annoyance to Indy. Somewhat embarrassed about his sudden entry into the house, he added "I'm sorry for just coming in here all of a sudden. I don't mean any harm, I just wanted to know who you were." He felt his stomach grumble a little, and he realize he hadn't eaten in a while. "I think I'm going to go now. If I ever see you guys around, just know that I won't hurt you." He then dipped his head politely, and started walking out of the door.

Indy watched him "hello Apollo." She said, her muscles relaxing quite a bit. She let out a slight sigh then spoke "wait, would you like to stay with us, being in a group is always better than being alone." she glanced at Sitka then looked at Apollo again, waiting on him to think about her offer "the more dogs, the better... more protection and warmth in groups." She told him then sat down, letting her tail thump against the floor as it wagged slightly, she was completely calm as she watched the dog in front of her.

Sitka listened to the conversation between them largely without moving... until the end, that is. As soon as Indy sat down, showing that she'd accepted the other dog's presence as no threat, Sitka was back to the playful pup he usually was. Immediately, his tail started wagging and he gave Apollo a dopey grin, only to frown a bit when the dog turned to leave. Then, as a thought struck him, he couldn't help but blurt out
"I'm sorry! I wasn't very nice to you.. please don't go, I promise I'm not usually mean! I only just didn't want Indy to get hurt because she's my friend, and you startled me, and I just reacted... I didn't mean to be mean, and I don't hate you, I promise! We could even learn to be friends too eventually?"
Sitka finished his ramble in a slightly tone as opposed to his slightly guilty one from the beginning. The none-too-bright pup had come to the conclusion that Apollo didn't want to stay because he was "mean" to the other dog, as he took his own defensive movements as being mean, though he certainly wouldn't judge the same way if someone did it in return. Still, he wasn't one to purposely be malicious- nor was he one to think much before speaking, so the words spilled out before he had a chance to stem them. He then turned slightly to glance to Indy, his face showing concern that he had done something wrong.
