So, your parents told you stories that humans would one day evolve and no longer want nor need us? I bet you thought this was a lie, just a simple bedtime story, eh? Well, I hate to be the one to tell you but they weren't lying. Less than a year ago humans adapted to life without us, leaving us to fend for ourselves. Some of us stayed on the streets.. Others chose to hide in the forests, some of us even hope to find a human who still cares for us animals; some succeed, others do not.

MING

Ming hopelessly limped back and forth through the forest, hoping to find something to eat. She then saw a squirrel. She was so hungry, she didn't care about the pain. Ming started chasing the squirrel and caught it. She then ate it peacefully, knowing no one would interrupt. At least she hoped so.

The sky-eyed male huffed as he looked to his half sister, sniffing the ground for a moment after. He perked his ears and looked around, tail flicking, then dropped to a crouch. He’d seen a rabbit, and began to stalk it now. He prayed Katti wouldn’t act up and scare this one away...He got close enough and caught it, starting to eat. He huffed as he looked to Katti again.

The golden eyed half-breed felt eyes on her a moment, looking up to see Joey looking at her. Just as soon, he’d begun to sniff the ground. She saw him crouch and creep forward, though didn’t care. She had the leftover rabbit from before, which she now finished off. She watched him do his thing, looking off when he huffed as he glanced to her. She shook herself, trotting forward a few steps.

Savannah stuck her head out of her den, checking around for any signs of danger. When she saw nothing, she padded out of the den and over to a nearby tree, digging up the remains of a rabbit she had somehow managed to catch earlier. Carrying it into her den, she laid down and began feeding.

Kimo trotted down the alleyways, having been here so many times before, he sniffed the inside of an empty box, picking up a woolly blanket that had been left behind, he continued trotting down the street again

Ming limped up to the road. She saw another dog, and stared at him as if she wanted to kill him with her sight. She hoped he wouldn't see her. Ming, though friendly was a quite shy dog, mostly when it comes to males.

Kimo's ears twitched, he heard the padding of paws, he sniffed the air before tilting his head slightly, facing forward still

Ming stood still, trying not to make any movement so the Bull Terrier doesn't notice her. Her spotty coat helped her with that a little, but her shivering body only made it worse and more likely to be seen by the other dog.
