Timber made it to a house with what looked like a broken in basement window a couple blocks away from his property. He poked his head into the window and took a peak around. It seemed to have plenty of things to jump on to get to the floor and then get back out. He pushed himself through the window and gracefully dropped onto a washer and dryer unit before hopping back down. He scanned the area and items before selecting a blanket with a couple holes in it. Something to keep the dog house a little warmer. He jumped back onto the unit and leapt out through the window before making his way back to his property.

Lyra padded out from a cave opening her mouth to a big yawn.Mana papa! she called anxiously looking around to see if any of her parents were coming. Letting out a sigh she plopped to the ground and let out a small whimper. nothing.... she muttered closing her eyes as her tummy began to rumble

Timber trotted down his street until he came to the side of the house that was placed on his property. He stopped and lifted his nose to the wind, catching the smell of another dog on the wind. His property was on the edge of the city, hence the yard, and had a view of a section of woods not that far away. He focused his eyes on a small figure just on the edge of the woods lying on the ground. He went under the fence and dropped the blanket before coming back out looking at the small figure again. He padded cautiously a little closer, but a safe distance away “Hello? Who’s there?” he called out, a tone of curiousity dancing on his words.

Lyra shot her head up in surprise and looked around as she heard a voice call to her Mama papa is that you! she called getting to her feet her tail wagging

The dog narrowed his eyes before shaking his head, ears perked must be a pup he thought. ”Uh, no, my name is Timber. Are you alone?” he asked, approaching a little closer but slowly, as not to startle the pup. Usually he wouldn’t strike up a conversation with another dog unless confronted, but this dog seemed young and he wanted to see if she needed help, or at least a place to stay. He had the room and old dog toys, the least he could do was offer.

Lyra immediately Bent down and let out a shaky growl. w who are you what do you want it was plane to see that she was scared as her hole body trembled with her tail between her legs

Timber could see that she was scared by his presence but wasn’t sure how to show her that he meant no harm. He wagged his tail a little, to show her that his body language wasn’t tense “My name is Timber, I live in that yard right there.” he said, pointing his nose toward the fence behind him for a moment, approaching her a little closer and slowly “I don’t mean to bother you, I just wanted to see if you wanted any company? I have shelter with blankets,” he offered, he wasn’t sure if she’d take it. And he couldn’t make her take it. But offering it was the right thing to do.

Lyra slowly stood back up and tilted her head to the side then after a few moments her tail began to wag again. I'd love some company I've been really bored and lonely ever scene mama and papa went to go get food she said starting to jump up and down with excitement

Timber’s tail wagged in amusement, he wasn’t fond of other dogs being around him but young ones always seemed to be his weakness. They reminded him of his younger sister who died from the virus a year ago, he pinned his momentarily from the bad memory before shaking his head. He lifted his ears and motioned with his head towards the fence “Well, come on then, I can show you around.” he called with a small smile before padding back to the hole under the fence and slipping under. He stood in the center of his yard and waited for her to enter.

with an excited giggle Lyra took of running towards the fence, but tripped over and and tumbled into it head first. ow.... she muttered to herself well getting to her feet and shaking her head then she crawled under the fence and walked over to the big dog. ready! she said with a big smile
