◤ The planet was dying... I remember. I sat next to my owner as we watched another building collapse. More people died each day. I didn't eat everyday anymore, my owner didn't even eat. What was happening to my life? I had remembered all the happy times me and my owner would take road trips and have so much fun. Nowadays it wouldn't even be safe to go outside. The human race was going extinct, and dogs would be next. I woke up one day to find my owner, dead. A new infection was spreading, and it was killing all living creatures. I knew it was time to leave. I licked my owners cheek before escaping through the window. I knew I couldn't survive long, but I found other dogs with stories like mine, together, we will help each other survive. More disaster is yet to come, and we need to be ready. ◢

The fae pad through the forest, her paws crunching on
the dead leaves beneath her. She gaped her jaws in a
yawn. Honey pad closer to the pond, lapping at its cool
water. She perked her ears listening for any dog.

Lili sat next to a willow tree. She gazed up into the sky
as a raindrop fell onto her head. She backed into the abandoned
building, waiting for her group to follow her. Lili shivered in the
coldness of the building. ''Hey, guys it's getting cold.
Lets find a different building.'' She cooed

Staring at Lili, Hawk chuckled quietly as her alpha backed into the building, staying put under a thick branch. That old thing had many holes in it, as well as hard, rotted floors. No warmer than out in the rain. Hawk didn't mind rain much, anyway. With her long, thick coat, the cold wasn't bad, either. She internally laughed more when Lili did exactly as she predicted, commanding the pack to move out. With a grunt, she stood and followed her, albeit a bit unwillingly. "Ha. Let's hope that our luck is good, Alpha. This city isn't exactly as shiny and new and warm as it used to be. And wouldn't we be at a higher risk of the sickness the further in we move?"

Honey stared out into the lake, her amber
yellow orbs sparkled being so close to water. She
jumped into it, feeling the cold seep into her fur
as she tread in the lake.

Lili looked at hawk ''We will be fine.''
She knew this city inside and out. Looking to her right she continued
walking ''This building. It looks safer.'' she told her pack.

Apollo padded along through the forest. His paws crushed the leaves underfoot.
He wondered if hunting would be good today. He didn't know if he would catch anything good.
He padded around a tree and then another. He then stopped and pricked his ears listening.
He didn't hear anything so he continued on his search. As he walked along his nose twitched as
it took in the scents of the forest. He soon came to a small puddle of water and lapped it up.
So far he had not found any prey. He shook his head and tilted his head to one side listening
once again. When, he still didn't find anything he padded off. How much longer? He quickened
his pace and soon found what he was looking for. A rabbit crouched not far from him. He made
sure the rabbit couldn't smell him and crouched. With one quick movement he pounced onto
the rabbit. He held up his catch for a moment and then dropped it. He then howled for his
success.

"If you say so." Hawk shrugged and stepped into the, albiet in much better condition, building. Any dog could see it was warmer than the previous one without needing to know the city beforehand. Any one with wits, that was. Her nose wrinkled at the smell of death everywhere. The city was too heavily populated, in her own opinion. If the liver-and-white collie were in charge, she would be leading the pack far away from here, into the forest, where they might actually make a home and a living for themselves, instead of wandering streets no longer populated. If they moved far enough, they would eventually come to an area where the sickness hadn't spread yet, forest or not. Hawk huffed, muttering quietly to herself. "I bet Lili just wants to stay in the city because she's not ready to fully let go of her dear humans. There's not much food, hardly anywhere safe, and too much of a risk of the sickness. This very building stinks of death. Either that, or she's too much of a coward to leave her comfort zone." She shifted restlessly, her eyes directed at the alpha with an unreadable expression. The soft city dogs. Always think they were right. She had been a pet, judging by her glossy coat and gleaming good health when Hawk found her and the other members of the pack. She probably only learned what it was like to be hungry and cold a few days ago. Why were her sheep-brained packmates so blindly following her, when Hawk had more experience with similar situations? Could they even think for themselves, and put aside another dog's smooth, honey-coated words to see what they really mean, who they truly are?

He picked up his catch and began to search
for something to drink. He had found some puddles but
decided that he would see if he could find something
better. His ears twitched as they picked up noise from
the surroundings. He wondered when he would find
some water. Maybe a river? Or a pond? He then flicked
his tail and quickened his pace. He stopped when he
picked up a scent. Was that what he thought it was?
He glanced around before continuing. He soon picked
up the scent of water but the other scent was still
there. When, He came upon a pond he saw what it
was. Another dog. This dog seemed to be playing in
the pond. He shook his head at the sight. Well. Since
this dog was playing maybe it wouldn't notice him.
He dropped his rabbit and covered it with leaves.
He then slowly circled the pond so he was behind the
dog. He then began to lap up the water his eyes on the
dog.

Honey swam in the lake, diving deeper into
the waters, she lifted her muzzle to smell around her
and she smelt the aroma of a different dog. Turning
around she saw a black dog, lapping at the water.
''Hey, who are you?'' She swam closer to the shore,
worried this dog could have the virus.

Lili didn't hear Hawk. She looked out, seeing the rain
fall. Well... Its better in here, right? She thought.
Lili didn't like the city, but her pack need shelter. Sitting
down, she looked around anxiously.
