"Hello." Tenri said quietly, wondering where this strange and talkative peacock had come from and what they were doing in the old zoo. "Where do you come from?" he asked, taking a step back from her.

“Well, I once lived over here when humans were still alive, but when they went extinct I left this place and today I decided to come back home.” Said Pyros, waving her tail like a fan so she won’t get too hot. “There is nothing wrong with you.” She said cheerfully.

"Humans, huh? Don't know anything like that." Tenri said, looking at the peacock curiously. "How long have you been around here? Most creatures I've talked to know nothing of our past." He had no idea what the peacock meant when they said that there was nothing wrong with him, and decided to ignore the comment.

“Yes, humans.” Said Pyros. “Humans hatched me when I was an egg.” She fluffed up her feathers and walked on with the snow leopard. She walked on, seeing a little bug in the sky and flying up to catch the bug. When she caught the bug she landed back to the ground. “Did you ever catch a bug in your life?” She asked the white creature curiously.

Tenri had no idea what was wrong with this peacock, but decided to let it slide and continue speaking to her. "So...how long were you around here?" he asked again, wanting to know what was with this bird that she knew about the ones before them but not any of the others. He didn't even know if he trusted the bird, as for all he knew they could be making up lies. As for the bugs..."Maybe a moth or two when I was a kit, but that's all. Leopards don't...catch bugs."

“Well, I hatched from my egg right in the peacocks’ area at this zoo right during the extinction of the human race.” Pyros squawked to the leopard as she smiled. “I hatched in the hands of one of the last zookeepers.” She continued. Seeing a large rock, Pyros flew up on it and perched on the rock quietly. “I escaped as a young peacock while humans became extinct, and I am happy to be back here.”

"Then do you know why nobody else seems to know about the existence of these creatures?" Tenri said, narrowing his eyes and trying to see if he could trip her up. "And how come you know what they're called?"

“Well, the first words I heard from the zookeeper when I hatched were ‘I am a human and I will soon be extinct’.” Pyros said in a laughing voice. “What is your name?” She asked the snow leopard.

Tenri narrowed his eyes again, having already decided that this peacock was insane. "O....kay then." he said, tilting his head in deep confusion. What 'human' would tell a peacock first thing that they were dying out? Peacocks weren't even endangered, were they?

"I'm Tenri." he said, seeing no harm in telling the bird his name. "You?"
