- the pale lion noticed how calm and relaxed the lioness now was with him, and he was pleased with the fact that she was not afraid of him or seeking to escape. he wasnt an aggressive being, and so if she had tried to walk away, he would not have run after her. he wanted a pride that wanted to be there with him, that enjoyed his presence and vice versa. he noticed that, while she was calmly grooming herself, she also seemed to truly be paying attention to his brief backstory as he spoke, and he appreciated the respect she was showing him in just that simple fact. as she opened her mouth and began to speak again, he did the same, keeping his eyes on her in respect as he listened to what she said. while not being fully direct, he knew exactly what she meant, and while a bit surprised, he was more than happy to go along with it. slowly, he crawled forward on his stomach until he was close enough to gently nudge her forehead with his in a sweet way before answering. "i would be honored if you would like to join me as the first lioness to my future pride, beautiful pyrrhic. now, i will be honest with you. i will not force you to stay with me, nor will i force any other lioness to join our pride. i want my pride to be with me because they enjoy my company, and vice versa." he watched her carefully for a response, knowing his mindset was a bit unorthodox.

- the ruddy red lioness felt like she barely had traveled any ground by the time she heard heavy pawsteps coming up behind her, and she wanted to huff. she rolled her eyes and when the large male cut off her path, she backed several paces away with him, a devious smirk on her face as he spoke to her. it looked like he saw her as more valuable than the young almost-cub, who had years left before she could be of any use to a male, and had to keep herself from huffing in annoyance. instead she held herself with confidence, eyes locked on his form, looking him over for any sign of weakness that she could use to her advantage if needed. "i'm moving on with my life, obviously. im a loner by choice hunny. i chose to leave my old pride because im not big on the nuisances that other lions bring. im my own lioness, and im one thats not afraid to get bloody." she smirked to show her teeth, which glinted in the sunlight, kneading her claws into the ground to pull attention to the blood on them.

♚. ── ❝no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.❞the golden lioness took very careful note of the way the male acted. she mentally approved of the way he was not overly-cocky or arrogant; he did not outwardly appear cruel or forceful, and she appreciated that immensely. and most importantly, he did not remind her of her father in the slightest, so far at least. she was still a bit weary, but as he lay down, he showed her he meant no harm, and she began to relax just a bit more. she was aware of his ears flickering around; he was still alert and watching for danger, but at the same time, his piercing eyes were locked on her. "fumo you say? sounds like the name of a king." she purred lightly; it was a name that held power and strength, much like the male it belonged to, and she approved. as he asked why she was alone, she couldnt help let out a soft sigh before answering. "well, fumo, i had a pride, but ive been on my own for about half a year now. my father was mentally unstable, and about six months ago he snapped. he killed my mother, so my aunts and cousins turned on him. we all dispersed to find new lives for ourselves. ive been on my own ever since."
